gallivant: We have built more towers than Nigeria even after you completed land reclamation. You might not know this, but building a city is not just about erecting towers up and down, Quality drainage system, Quality Roads, wide canal channel .. power infrastructure must be in place, this is not konza city. |

gallivant: I dont get what you are celebrating about. The Pinnacle was proposed in 2015. Since then we have completed more towers in Nairobi than you have in Eko Atlantic. I must remind you Eko kicked ground in 2003! And land reclamation began in 2009 and ended in 2014. They are not going to build towers on water you know |

Nigeria officially becomes the first country in Africa to launch the sophisticated "helicopter full flight level D simulator" after Caverton in Ikeja completes the multibillion naira facility. The AirForce will train some personnel with the simulator, and repair helicopters here.

rvp2018: The crux of matter is kenya has now 70% (8M household out 12M) with electricity that is available now 99% of the time. Blackout make news here. Only western part of kenya that relies on Uganda (Jinja) have MINOR issue and we are fixing them - by connecting it to Geothermal
The fact is in Nigeria that is a miracle - every day the few with electricity - get 6 hours.
INSTALLED capacity is nothing. For example my power plant - is 1MW - I will have 4 turbines - each to produce 250KW - I can turn them on or off - depending - and if say it goes into disrepair - it could go off for long time.
So generation you got problem.
Transmission and distribution - mega problems. 70% is talking about people with access to electricity, some could be getting only 30mins of power and they will still be included in that range. For a country your size, there's no way your installed capacity of 2,000MW(both industrial and households) of energy can satisfy your energy requirement. There's just no way you've achieved, what you claim you have, on that miniscule amount of MW. |

gallivant: Actually it does unless you are just pissing in the rain and wasting everyone's time. Nope It doesn’t. 15,000Mw installed capacity >> 2,945Mw 7,500 transmission capacity >> 1,800 MW

mtisTheQubit: Yes an ths is what i got from the link You still don’t get it do you?? We generate, transmit and distribute more electricity than you...that’s the crux of my debate with rvp2018, having more access to electricity doesn’t negate that. |

Nope old man, we certainly didn’t borrrow locally to repay the Eurobond...rvp is probably confusing Kenya with Nigeria “Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani had in December 2020 told Parliament that Kenya expects to return to the Eurobond market in 2024 to refinance Ksh130 billion maturing bonds it borrowed in 2014.” |

rvp2018: After awarding contract - what else was your waiting for - or you had no money - just awarding contract without money. DELUSION. In kenya contracts are only awarded when the money is ready and all regulations have been passed. The Abuja kaduna section got built And now the Lagos -Ibadan is almost ✅. We’ve already started the Ibadan-Kano section |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Shaytun: 10:36am On Jan 31, 2021 |
rvp2018: You can purport to lecture me on anything. I am currently developing my own hydroplant - a 1MW - plant - for my own tea processing plant. Good for you then. The crux of the matter is we generate, produce and transmit more electricity than Kenya can hope to achieve in the next ten years. And according to the international energy agency our citizens have a higher access to electricity. |

rvp2018: In 2012. Mere 150Kms. Kenya started in 2014 - 600kms plus - including the booring through The Great Rift valley - 5Km tunnel - longest in Africa Contract was awarded in 2012. I ask you when construction began...it’s a simple question |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Shaytun: 10:29am On Jan 31, 2021 |
rvp2018: How has it improved? You can have 18,000MW but the peak generation is what 3,000MW. The turbines cannot just turn when producers are not paid. Let's not talk about the collapsed network...due overloading and disrrepair.
You may live all your lifetime in that mess - of generators and blackouts. Again still pulling things out of your arse. Learn the difference between generation, distribution and transmission then we can have a discussion. |

rvp2018: Kenya took 3yrs to deliver and operationalize SGR. You have 10 yrs and there is nothing on the ground. That article is obviously written by Nigerian engaging in China hatefest. Why am I not surprised ...if facts don’t align with you Kenyans opinion then it must be fake |
