Obalende: Exactly! Bermuda Government is doing well. We can hire from there if Nigerians want someone with black skin color though I don't care about skin color.
But Nigerians also cheat themselves! Through causing accidents thru one way driving, having fake ids, conspiring to steal, etc all these things make Nigeria bad so I would split the blame 50% Nigeria Government, 50% people... the people need a change of mentality too.... I say this with all due respect... So according to your warp mentality, your "masters" dont steal, they dont do fake ids, they dont do drugs, they dont do murder. Dude get help. |

Obalende: Nigerian leaders should not be shy to ask for international help... this is leadership best practice and should be more aggressive in delivery... less 10 yr plans and more 3 month plans....
I think this is common sense that well meaning Nigerians will agree with...
Also Nigerians should improve their compliance... Ever heard of FRANCAFRIQUE? Your so called "Masters" have been in control of the economy and resources of several african countries what improvement have they made in those countries. Those countries are litteraly the shithole of africa. What kind of inferiority complex will make you think of renting out the destiny of 170 million people to a foreign nation(which will of course have its own interest). |

freshest4live: Exactly, though we have no business blaming the British now, but people must stop thinking they did well for us then. However we need better values and a paradigm shift in this country not from exalting the white man but placing emphasis on the right values in our homes, Churches, and Schools. The problem with Nigeria is we are not placing greater emphasis on the most important resource we have which is "HUMAN". Forget Oil. Forget Gold. Forget Coal. The greatest and most valuable resource we have in this country is the HUMANS, which we have in abundance. Unfortunately the Nigerian educational sector is a complete mess, that is why we keep producing youth with the kind of ops mindset. |

Obalende: Ask those that lived during the British rule, Nigeria was better. There is the concept of management compensation - even if they took somethings back to britain which i believe wont be outrageous... they still managed the country well. What is naira exchanging for gbp today? The sheer amount of ego in these naija folks beggars belief. Then there was no Boko Haram insurgency, no kidnapping, badoo no lack of law and order under British rule. The truth is they do bring something of value to the table we can tap into. Yet the stupid ego of these Savage Nigerians won't admit the truth.
Japan could even come colonize Nigeria. Whoever will change the people's way of thinking and deliver. Like i keep telling you, Nigeria was not better under the british rule, majority of Nigerians under brotih rule were illiterate, poverty was rampant, the white only developed a small part of lagos where they reside the rest of the country was bush. ABUJA Was a Wasteland. Porthacourt Was Bushland. UYO WAS BUSHLAND. Abeokuta was Bushland. The was no major economic activites going on except for those involved on shipping our resource out of Nigeria. 98% of Nigerians under British rule never saw a bulb not to talk of electricity in their life. Japan an advanced country in asia once colonized korea, Go and ask the koreans whether it was a joyfull experience. |

I don't need to ask anybody anything, have you ever Pondered that as you go up in the age bracket of nigerians, the further you go the less educated people seems to be. Nigeria is not a developed country because we inherited an "underdeveloped" country from our parents. Imagine if the britain had invested just 10% of the total money they looted from us back into the ccountry. Then by independence atleast we will be considered a "developing" country, with stable democracy and intelligent leaders, then the military coups might not have happened. Do you have any idea where Nigeria will be now, if not a "developed country", then it will be a "NIC". |

Obalende: Nigeria in its current state since 1960 has not been able to successfully execute one nation wide capital project!
What I am proposing is neo colonialism working together with Uk as returning colonial masters, China and the world bank; while Nigeria of course retains sovereignty. A country can be taught/colonized with its sovereignty in tact.
Nigerian Government revenue will be managed from Great Britain.
Resource and development contracts will be signed.
China would be in charge of the infrastructure projects.
G8 resources will start to follow Nigeria.
Nigerians on ground would start to be shamed for their bad citizenship and encouraged to become good citizens. Psychiatric evaluation for all drivers and compulsory driver education.
Nigeria can be a changed country in 2 yrs or less.
Only Lagos is transforming rapidly because most residents hv bn out at least to ECOWAS and are demanding development.
So either way we need foreign influence They ruled you for more than 60 years(longer than we have ruled ourselves), what did they accomplished for us during does times. They looted our resources in broad day light to develop their own country while neglecting us. They destroyed our ancient artifacts and looted them to europe(some of them are still the british meseum on display). They ruled you for more than 60 years yet built you no major bridge, no major road, no university, No power plant, No major Hospital. Your great grandfather's were cheated of their lànds. And you still have the guts to suggest we should hand over our resources and the destiny of our kids to the same set of people, so that they can continue looting us. The revenues of benin, togo, chad, Niger are being managed by your so called "MASTERS" (dude you really suffering from low self esteem) tell me where that has gotten them. |

“The Arewa Youths that demanded that the Igbo must leave the north by Oct 1st and that have now given the Fed. Govt. an ultimatum to arrest Nnandi Kanu in the next 10 days are stoking a fire that may end up consumming Nigeria,” Femi Fani-Kayode wrotes on Facebook.
The former minister added that the said Arewa Youths group must be gagged, put in chains, and spanked hard.
“They must be gagged, put in chains and spanked hard!,” he added.

panafrican: Where are Nigeria , Cote d' Ivoire , The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon etc? Either crumbling under heavy corruption ( Nigeria, Cote d' Ivoire and Gabon) or stuck in internal bloody wars ( The DRC). Make no mistake, it will take a strong handed man to clean the land like JJ Rawling did in Ghana , executing a bunch of crooked people before getting good results like what Ghana got today. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-40538471 Dont know what you mean. But Nigeria Already have 5 satellite in space. |
