I sincerely hope I'm wrong but a prolonged headache with visible pulsating veins doesn't sound so good. A tumor (let's hope it's benign) might be sitting on a nerve/vein up there.

Or any other cause at all. Just have it checked, if you can afford an MRI, I'll advise you do that instead of a CT SCAN.
