Politics › Re: Why Apc’s Alhassan Was Declared Taraba Governor — Tribunal by Sheggy13(m): 3:47am On Nov 08, 2015
Inoknowbook:
The freaking tribunal is made up of a bunch of illiterates masquerading as lawyers. I'm ashamed on their behalf for the so called grounds for nullification. The sections of the electoral law cited as the foundation for the conclusion can only be invoked if there was a challenge to the results of the primary by a member of the PDP. It cannot be invoked by a person who has no locus whatsoever to challenge the primary. APC's candidate had no locus to challenge PDP's primary. As if she knew, she did not do anything in that regard in her petition. Her lawyers knew she had no basis to question the emergence of the governor as the candidate for PDP. The tribunal in its effrontery, raised the issue suo moto. The tribunal does not have the freedom to raise issues not raised by either of the parties. Doing so, will be fatal to the case as it will give the impression that it sided with one of the parties thereby depriving the other his/her fundamental rights to fair hearing. Citing the electoral law, at best, was an attempt to grasp at straw in attempt to arrive at a preordained result. I guess the lady was not able to prove electoral malpractice that would justify a judgement in her favor. if there were to be hope for the judiciary, the judgement will not stand the test of time in the appellate courts. Every member of that tribunal, who is a lawyer, has to be sanctioned. It's very shameful. Mind you, I'm just an obsever.
One simple question for you: Please do you have a copy of the full petitions of the APC legal team to the Taraba Governorship Elections petition tribunal to be so sure that team didn't include challenging the improperly held primaries of the PDP as a ground for their prayer, for the election of the PDP candidate to be nullified? I'll be so happy if you can oblige me this. Thanks.
Politics › Re: Buhari Moves To Block Influx Of Foreign Construction Workers Into Nigeria by Sheggy13(m): 6:48am On Nov 07, 2015
Mogidi:
If there were Nigerians capable of doing those jobs, Dangote wouldn't go to China to recruit. Lets train enough Nigerians before asking the immigrants to leave, except we want shoddy work, in which case we can ask them to leave and deploy substandard craftsmen to do jobs meant for qualified artisans.
Did you see any where in that article where Buhari ordered the multinationals to stop bringing in "expatriates" and artisans abroad. Every right thinking govt knows the statement made by the directors that the shortage of competent construction artisans in the country had forced them to bring in foreigners,is an indictment on Nigeria and Nigerians; and the long-term solution to this anomaly is revamping the vocational training institutions which is the crux of this article. Simply because you want to appeal to the emotions of never-do-well idiots that call their country a zoo and get cheap, meaningless likes from the same set of hyper-deluded ethnocentric bigots, you had to put up an unrelated post on a move that should instead be lauded.

Why is it so hard to get this into your thick skull. The constitution says there must be 36 ministers. Unfortunately we dont have the funds to run 36 minstries.

Is this so hard to understandhuh PMB has to find a way of managing the economy while adhering to the constitution.
Must there be 36 ministries before you can get 36 ministers?..how was it done during the time of OBJ, Yar'Adua and GEJ that it didn't generate all these unnecessary distractions and confusions..In a ministry,u have a substantive minister and a minister of state; meaning u don't need to have 36 ministries to fit in all of these ministers.

Are you implying that yoruba individuals are responsible for the lagos IGR.

5 south east states were compared with 5 southwest states which is an equal comparison
We're comparing regions here. Lagos is part of the SW and the most advanced and developed of the region and you left that out, saying you're making a fair comparison. What's fair about that when you included all the States in the SE in your comparisons, including the ones doing well and the ones not doing well. I'm not saying only Yorubas are responsible for Lagos IGR but the question I asked u was: "Are u implying that the contributions of Yoruba individuals, SMEs,CEOs, banks
and companies alone in IGR in Lagos is not up to
N3.8bn out of Lagos' N276.1bn IGR?". Answer that honestly and I'll know you want an intelligible debate.

kettykin:
Anyone ever noticed how some very funny people have resorted to avoiding this thread. Hypocrisy and false patriotism is really a very bad thing
Expectedly there isn't much economic activity in Ekiti and Osun states in the SW,hence the low figures there but overall the difference between the five states of SE and SW is actually N3.8bn and u people deliberately left out Lagos because in your warped minds,Lagos has ceased being SW..and are u implying that the contributions of Yoruba individuals, SMEs,CEOs, banks and companies alone in IGR in Lagos is not up to N3.8bn out of Lagos' N276.1bn IGR..so whatever way u look at it, the SW region has the highest IGR. This thread should instead be one that calls for sober reflections for you guys as u can see Anambra with all the noise of largest Market in Africa, Obiano this,Obiano that, can't even measure up to states like Ondo and Ebonyi without any visible big markets. This further buttresses the points we tell most of you that make noise that u control Lagos economy, that having shops all the place in Alaba, Ladipo etc, like u have in Lagos, doesn't translate to much when discussing IGR and contributions.. I hope u learn but as usual I expect the chest-beating and empty vituperations.
Family › Re: My Marriage Is Crashing, I Think I Hate Him...Help by Sheggy13(m): 4:05am On Oct 24, 2015
Many young ladies ought to learn from this but they won't..That a guy can fvck very well and always make u laugh, takes u clubbing and being lively when you're around him doesn't mean he'll become a good husband cos trust me,when the reality of marriage sets in,just like this case, all those fantasies will wash away and you'll face the real hard truth..Only a man of strong character, ambition and drive will be able to give u the kind of support you want in a marriage. Many ladies have chased their real husbands away under the guise of he's boring, too career-oriented,too serious-minded and bookish. Op,I pray God helps u cos I'm sure a very goodhearted "boring" guy may have come around in the past but you've chased him away, cos truth be told u saw all these characters or tendencies in him before marriage but the fun and temporary fantasy shielded u from reality.

It is only dirty yorubas that have to invite a person as a guest only to attack them.

Something that the entire world refer to as cowardice. But i suppose it is yoruba culture to be cowards.

Can America invite a guest and kill, jail or harm them? No! It is undiplomatic, uncivilised and a war crime. This is the strongest nation on the planet, that am talking about. Likewise the poorest nations observe the same standard. Yorubas are the only exception to this in the world.
Are u implying that Yorubas took buses to Onitsha, Aba, Enugu etc and started pleading with Igbos to come and live in their lands or what? When a guest tells his host to his face that without him,his host cannot survive and openly disregard the traditional institution of the host, that moment he stops being a guest and will be treated as an adversary. Ever since the shops have been closed, have Akure residents not been surviving? Talk to your brothers to behave themselves and not mistake the civility and hospitality of the Yorubas for stupidity.. How many Yorubas depend on making a living in the SE as against the millions of Igbos and more still trooping in,in the SW? You guys should be grateful instead.

It's quite unfortunate I share a country with brain-dead people accusing Buhari of indirectly killing Alams. The mentality of the average politician like Dickson is that receiving treatment in a Nigerian hospital is a death sentence, when it is their duty to provide well-equipped hospitals with qualified personnel. What is more unfortunate is that most of the people echoing what this idiot of a governor is saying have no option than to use these hospitals as they can't afford medicare abroad. A really hopeless situation.

Have u tried it and u were given Just 25minutes? This is not funny o.......

There is an Updated code for this. Which one did u use?
Yh that's what I'm using now. The code is *567*3*6#, u get 600 naira daily for mtn to mtn calls only when u dial *559*4 to check after subscribing. It's just that the tariff it uses is 40kobo/seconds which translates to 24 naira per min and 25 minutes daily. To verify, after dialling *567*3*6#, press 1 to proceed, then press 4 which is the option for offer description to see the details..which updated code are you talking about?

.The #250 is unlimited calls for one week
There's nothing like unlimited in any of these plans..there are daily allocated minutes to them. Ironically that of #100 is better than that of #250 as it gives u 25 mins daily for 7 days as against 20 mins daily for #250..cheers

My friend the plan u did is 50 naira everyday. Just make sure you don't have to 50 naira in your phone the next day, otherwise they'll remove it lol. When u dial *567*3*4# and press 1 to proceed, press 4, the option for offer description, you'll see it clearly written there. I think The best of these plans is that of 100 naira to get 25 mins daily and will be auto renewed after 7 days. The code is *567*3*6#..always choose option 4 (Offer description) after choosing 1 to proceed before subscribing to any plan so u know d full detail.

Lai Mohammed. - Minister of Information.. His "WAILING WAILERS" remark is now a Nationally accepted phrase and soon to be added to the Oxford Dictionary as an English work to describe haters. cool
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was Femi Adesina, SA to the President on Media and Publicity that came up with that "Wailing Wailers" phrase and not Lai Mohammed. Isn't it the same story with Nigerians living in the US? You mean all those Nigerian cab drivers all over New York City just have naij accent but they aren't Nigerians, no? All those Nigerians on canal street aren't Nigerians? The ones all over Brooklyn who look like they just left the boat aren't Nigerians?

When did the population of Nigerians in the UK get to 2million where there aren't even 2million black Africans in the UK? A lot of you just get gassed off London and start throwing millions around. I doubt there are up to 500,000 Nigerians even in London where 80% of Nigerians in the UK live.

As soon as I saw Peckham in North London - I knew this clown has no clue about what he is saying. Peckham is in South London. And statistically there should be more Nigerians around Thamesmead/Bexley and Thurrock axis (maybe Havering) than Peckham today. It changed time ago but a lot of Nigerians still come to Peckham to shop tho.

Anyway, the hustle is real.
True that..more Nigerians around that Lewisham/Woolwich/Thamesmead/Abbey Wood area than Peckham these days.
