SportsVidal Joins Barcelona From Bayern In €20million Euro Switch by Shegzy8(op): 10:38pm On Aug 03, 2018
Arturo Vidal is set to join Barcelona from Bayern Munich on a three-year deal after the clubs reached an agreement for his transfer.

Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich on a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old is set to complete his move following a medical over the coming days, in a deal understood to be worth in the region of €20 million (£18m/$20m).
"FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Arturo Vidal," read a statement on Barca's official website.
"The agreement with Arturo Vidal is for the next three seasons and is pending medical review that the player will pass in the coming days.
"FC Barcelona will soon inform of the arrival of the player and the agenda of the presentation."
Vidal was linked with a Serie A return at Inter, having starred for Juventus before joining Bayern in 2015.
But Barca swooped to land the Chile international to replace Paulinho, who returned to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande on loan after a single season at Camp Nou.
Ernesto Valverde signalled his intention to add to his midfield options after the Brazilian's departure, with club great Andres Iniesta having also departed for Asia by signing for Japanese side Vissel Kobe.
Arthur's move from Gremio was fast-tracked and Barca were reportedly interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain.
But they turned to Vidal after being unable to prise the France international away from the Ligue 1 champions.
Injuries restricted Vidal to 17 Bundesliga starts in the 2017-18 season and he was linked with a January move to Chelsea, despite indicating he was willing to extend a Bayern contract that was set to expire at the end of this season.
He becomes Barca's fourth major signing of the transfer window, following Arthur, Bordeaux winger Malcom and Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet to Catalonia.

What about the possibilities of importing crude oil to be refined here so we can start making a more robust economy by exporting refined products to othe countries.

Diversification of the economy has everything to do with industrialization. Building the refineries might not even be for our crude oil.

My thought tho
I'm not against building a refinery,I am only against the timing...like why did it take us this long to get to this level...so many countries passed this stage 40years ago

I wouldn't know your family tradition. But in my family, when a male child is born, the mother gives the child a name. When a female child is born, the father gives her a name.

My mom gave me my name "Mimi" because I'm the last born and secondly she was expecting a female child but I came out a male.
You shouldn't have generalized this aspect

MEET 50 OBAS WHO RUN LAGOS WITH OBA RILWAN AKIOLU

Oba Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu is the paramount ruler of Lagos and the chairman Lagos State council of Obas. The Council of Obas and Chiefs is one body, which has the capacity to contribute phenomenonally to good governance in the State by constantly availing government of its wisdom and sound advice: using its tremendous influence to mobilize popular support for public policy as well as being an important source of communication and feedback between the government and the grassroots.

As an institution, the Council of Obas and Chiefs is as old as Lagos State itself. It was established following the creation of Lagos State through the Council of Obas and Chiefs of Lagos State, Edict 1969 which came into force in April, 1969. The erstwhile Council of Obas and Chiefs, which was constituted in December 1995 with Thirty-One members, was dissolved in 2007.

The 73 year old Oba who has been on the throne since May 2003, has been able to work with prominent Lagos Obas to bring about the new face of Lagos under the Gov. Ambode administration. The new Council has a total of 51 members drawn from the 5 divisions of the State. The Oba of Lagos is the permanent Chairman of the State Council of Obas and Chiefs with 4 Vice-Chairmen drawn from the remaining 4 divisions of the State namely Epe, Badagry, Ikorodu and Ikeja.

One of the qualities of Oba Rilwan Akiolu is that he has been able to work not only with his 4 Vice Chairmen but has been able to work with other 45 Lagos Obas who constitute the Lagos council of Obas. They are the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Adewale Shotobi, Alara of Ilara in Epe, Akran of Badagry, and Olu of Ikeja.

Oba Saheed Elegushi (Kusenla III) may be very young but permit us to tell you that he is one of the Lagos State first class Obas. Oba Gushi has he is fondly called oversees the affairs of Elegushi part of Victoria Island and relay information to paramount ruler of Lagos when necessary.

Have you ever sighted this two Obas who are close to Oba Rilwan Akiolu. This is the story of Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye and Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru. They are both first class Obas in Lagos. Oba Tijani Akinloye is the Oba of Ojomu Ajiran in Victoria Island. They are inseparable friends and most of the time step out at events together. Many revealed that it was because they became Oba almost the same time that made them so close. Oba Ajiran has been on the throne for 22-years while his friend Oba Idowu Oniru has spent over 21years on the throne.

The stool of Alaiyeluwa Oba Akanni Ayeni the Onisiwo Of Tomaro and Abagboland in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area. has been vacant since he joined his ancestors few months ago. He was made the Oba of Eti-Osa by former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and has spent over 13 years on the throne though many will not forget the cordial relationship that existed between Oba Akinolu and Oba Akani Ayeni until he died few months ago. He was a traditional chief for many years until he was elevated to a first class Oba in Lagos State. Formost Lagos Fashion Designer, Alhaji Lateef Adams ( Latris) a few months ago assumed the throne of his forefathers when he became Oba of Ikate in Surulere.

The whole of Otto Kingdom which is under Surulere, Ijesha and its environs is under the able leadership of Oba Ganiyu Okeyide Odesanya, Oloto of Otto in Mainland, Lagos while Oba Patrick Ibikunle Fafunwa is the custodian of lands in Ikoyi.

In Lagos, there are some Lagos Chiefs who also work directly with Oba Akiolu. Their tittles are bigger than Lagos white caps chiefs and some have also been elevated to the post of Obas while waiting for staff of office. They are called traditional chiefs and they control certain communities in Lagos. They also have their Palace and have white cap chiefs who run the affairs of their territories with them. One of them is Chief T Jinadu-Eko, he is the Olorogun-Adodo of Lagos State. Others are Chief Fatai Olumegbon (Olumegbon of Lagos) and Chief Tajudeen Gbadesere Eletu (Eletu-Odibo of Lagos) .

The Obas who work with Oba Rilwan Akiolu from Ikeja division are Oba Kamilu Isiba (The Olu of Agege Kingdom), Oba Lasisi Gbadebo Gbadamosi (Oro-Otan III) (Onigando of Igando), Oba Maroof Adekunle Ojoola (Ojon of Ejigbo), Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru (JP) (Olu of Mushin)

Oba H.O.A Kassim-Bashua (Odu I) (Oba of Somolu) ,Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun (Olofin IV) (Oba of Isheri-Olofin) ,Oba Bashiru Oloruntoyin Saliu (Oba of Oworonsoki) , and Oba Abdul Fatai Adisa Irawo-Ogunsi (JP) (Oba of Odi-Olowo).

Epe area of Lagos State has many Obas but those who work with Oba Rilwan Akiola are Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun (Oloja of Epe)

Oba Olawale Olagoke Ogunsanya (The Aladegunshenbi of Odoragunshen) , Oba Raufu Ishola Balogun (The Elejinrin of Ejinrinland), Oba Adegboyega Ayodele Adefowora (Alaketu of Ketu) ,Oba Rafiu Olusegun Bamidele Salami (Ogunbamise I) (The Onibejuof Ibeju Land)

Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja (JP) (The Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom) ,Oba Ganiyu Adebowale Adegbesan (Onise of Ise Land)

Oba Michael Gbadebo Onakoya (The Orijeru of Ifgbooye Land) , Olu of Epe, Oba Sefiu Olatunji Adewale(Olu of Epe) .

The Badagry division too is not left out, aside the fact that the head of all Obas in Badagry is one of the Vice Chairmen, other Obas who work with Oba Rilwan Akiolu are Oba Babatunde Lawal (Onigbanko of Igbankoland) ,Oba Simeon Padonu Idowu (Aholu Gbedite Ayaton II) (The Aholu of Ajido) , Oba Galib Adeniyi Rufai, Adeife 1 (Olojo of Ojo)

I agree you are more intelligent than me. Sir, what is the alternative to comburstive fuel on which we have comparative advantages for now in our economy. Answer me please. Electric or thermal cars right. You are the one who is stupid and whose lineage stupidity has become heredity. Dangote is building refinary not prospecting crude oil idiot. We need local refineries to save our ourselves the burden of fx required for fuel importation in the country. Last time I checked, other bigger economies have not short down their refineries in the name of your worthless diversification. Go and learn oga. Stop embarrassing your alma Mata if you get one.
You sound silly and pained..well I never said we shouldn't have a refinery, you surely don't get me and I don't need to abuse you to make you see my point, let me break it down.
It's really so pathetic that our past and recycled politicians and our country just got to this level when other countries have been there like 40years ago...just read my comment and digest

Seriously?... Please tell me you're joking?....

Nigeria consumes an average of 40 million litres of petrol daily and about 1.2 billion litres monthly and all of this is IMPORTED. But you think it is a bad idea for Nigeria to refine it's petroleum within its shores because we want to diversify?.....

The most ridiculous thing about this comment is that in few minutes, there are already over 5 'likers' shocked
Well I didn't write for anybody to like..well it show you didn't read what I wrote well....I meant why it took too long for us to have a working refinery when even countries who doesn't produce oil have had working refineries for like 40years

Seriously?..... I reallly thought you were joking when you said it earlier that Nigeria shouldnt be building refineries because it should be diversifying.

Bros, your case strong oo... You've even shifted it to pdp vs apc realm? grin
I never said we shouldn't.. If you read well you will see I said politicians who promised us diversification....I meant the world and developed countries have moved way long before this..why did it take us the chance to have a working refinery...
