Hello Nairalanders.
I sincerely need your advice and expert opinion and "experience " if any on this. I have this very good friend of mine who has been in a serious relationship for over five years now. They however had plans of getting married by next year, but then early this year they decided to go for a blood test where it was revealed they are both of the AS genotype. This has affected her real hard as she's almost 36. she has rejected many suitors just to be with this guy. The guy his an orphan hustling and making it on his own. The issue on ground is the girls family, despite the willingness of the girl to stick with her Man, her mum insisted it's not gonna work for the risk of having an SS genotyped child. she's so worried and don't know what to do, she doesn't wish to start a new relationship over again as she felt she's not getting any younger(her junior ones are married with kids).
What are the chances of having a SS genotyped child if she defies all odds to marry him? I need your advice pls

I just dislike Nigerian media, for God's sake why going this length to disrepute someone's father just because he's son is in everyone's bad book. Personally I dislike the non removable battery phones. A friend had an annoying experience, her phone was just vibrating for no reason, she tried to switch off the phone but the phone refused. She had to wait till the battery drained before it went off. ....

I wonder what this week would be like if God hadn't help me out, I boarded a commercial danfo from igbo efon to jakande along lekki Ajah express way. Igbo efon to jakande is just a minute or two drive when there's no traffic. Meanwhile, I had 7000 naira on me meant for DSTV subscription the previous day, I was unable to subscribe because they closed early. After buying what I went for at jakande I boarded another 50 naira bus back to igbo efon. I sat at the back sit close to this guy putting on a black face cap, I just observed the guy was making some body contact with me and saying sorry repeatedly. In less than a minute I alighted, immediately checked my pocket and realised my money was gone(the bxtd) had removed my money ..... yeeeeh, 7k so early in the morning. Luckily the bus picked another passenger immediately i dropped, but when I realised my money was gone,just about when the bus was about to move I ran after the bus jumped in like those conductors do. When I entered, my guy was visibly shocked at seeing me, luckily again he was sitting on my 7k, he was yet to pocket it, I nearly punched him but I thought he could have accomplice in the bus so I let go. I accused him and he was just saying thrash and tryingto defend him self , I just picked my money and left thanking God for been the day. My neighbour wasn't as lucky as 10k was picked from his pocket along that same route. So guys always be vigilant when in any of this buses as you may just be sitting close to a thief, also do make sure you check your pockets to ensure your money, wallet or phone is safe immediately after alighting from any vehicle, even your personal motor. .

btw, this their fasting sef, they would eat by 5:00am thereabout, by the time they are doing the early morning drill, they have food in their belly to sustain them, the christians and people of other religion would be exercising on empty stomach, because i remember breakfast was after the drill. so what are they on about? who said they wouldn't be allowed to do their prayers??
even on a normal day many of us skip our meals and may eat just once a day not because of lack of food but maybe u were busy with work and all..or just skipped it for skipping case.. and we would not fall sick or die. nothing will happen.
