madridguy: I can only join other Nigerians to pray for her. As someone without a passport, I still don't know how Nigerians are coping in the UK.
The news coming from there always is always disturbing. I was on a space of Nigerians in the UK few days ago and I'm just praying for them... How are they managing paying thousands of pounds for papers all the time.
Sincerely I really wish Nigeria National orientation agency will start speaking up... Many Nigerians are fine living in Nigeria but because of online noise about abroad some will resign from government jobs, abandoned flourishing business only to arrive abroad and start developing high blood pressure over bills.
Just last week i heard a gist of a man who sold two buildings just to travel to the US, he has been booted out now and don't know how to start again... Abroad is good with testimonies but I think its not for everyone.
Let me pick it from abandoning government job. Have u worked in a government establishment before for you to think it pays not to leave? I have worked at two different government jobs; NIPOST and WAEC. WAEC is even more of regionally international. After 13 yrs and 7 months with WAEC how much did I get as gratuity n pension? I can tell for real that it is not up to 7M. Whereas, I have someone who has spent just 3yrs in UK and he has been able to invest more than 20M back home and spent up to 50M to bring in 3 family members to study in d UK.
Leave everybody with what work for them. Different stories for different folks.

I did dis just now n I was able to load ma electricity units. Thank you for sharing d solution.
Plz note: I didn't link d meter again because ma landlord has already done dat. What I did was to get d 2 diff ktc tokens as stated using d link n den load up.
Step I: Enter your meter number and NIN to link your NIN to your prepaid meter in under 2 minutes using this link- https://smartkyc.ikejaelectric.com/
Step II: After linking your prepaid meter to your NIN, go ahead and make an electricity purchase on simply buy units from your bank app or Anywhere else. You will receive 2 sets of tokens separate from the light units tokens you bought. These 2 tokens are called kct1 and kct2.
Enter the 1st set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter. Enter the 2nd set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter again. Your meter will migrate successfully.
Step III You can now enter your unit tokens to load successfully and wil not see a rejected message when next you load.
Most common problem If you have linked your NIN to your prepaid meter and you have made a new electricity unit purchase but did not receive your ktc tokens or only received incomplete tokens, then click the link below and enter your meter number to receive your two sets of kcts: www.Ikejaelectric.com/kctcheck
There is no business u will do in dis country now dat govt forces will not frustrate because d economy has been bastardized n d economic environment is not friendly for any business to thrive. Take ur money n relocate LEGALLY to study/work where ur dependants can go with u immediately (if u ve d money for all of u) or join u later (if d money can only take u alone). Don't ever leave without ur family. U can't leave d upbringing of ur children to ur wife alone because so much can happen within a very short period of time.
Lastly ma broda, don't u EVER trust any woman or wife. They can b easily influenced n deceived. They r weak emotionally but strong spiritually n datz Y God made us to b with dem. Let ur wife no abt ur plan n d 2 of can talk abt it n fine tune it.
Pray, fast n ask God Almighty to lead u n show u d way because it is not an ordinary decision.
God b with us all.

I don't want to b believe dis story. Plz get me clearly, I am not saying it is not possible to b stranded in d UK o but saying she can't work unless she secures a post graduate visa is utterly false.
As student, one can work n also d dependent spouse. Let d OP tell us d full n true story.
I ve piple very close to me in ma work place n family n friends dat r there as students working including their spouses. You all ve one or 2 persons there too studying, ask dem if post graduate visa is needed b4 a student can work.
Post Graduate Visa will cum to play after completion of d masters program NOT a requirement to get work as a student.
I stand to b corrected!
FreeStuffsNG: Family regrets selling house and borrowing money to relocate abroad, now stranded and facing hardship
Akinwande IdowuJul 29, 2023
A Nigerian family with five children regrets finding themselves in dire straits after borrowing millions of naira, selling their house, and car to fund their relocation to the United Kingdom.
The family embarked on this life-changing journey with hopes for a better future, but their dreams have been shattered as they struggle to cope with financial challenges in a foreign land.
The family, headed by a mother with a study visa, made the decision to move to the UK in pursuit of higher education opportunities.
However, upon arrival, she was confronted with the reality that she needed to secure a post-graduate visa to be eligible to work in the country, a process that required a significant sum of money.
As a result, the mother has been unable to contribute financially to the family’s expenses, leaving her husband as the sole breadwinner.
According to the woman @gloriaotikor1, the situation has taken a toll on her family’s mental and emotional well-being. The creditors who lent her money in Nigeria are incessantly calling her, expecting repayment now that she is in the UK.
However, with no means of income and mounting bills, the family is facing an uncertain and distressing future.
Despite their efforts to secure funds, the woman has been unable to complete her school fees, putting her educational aspirations at risk. As a result, the family is trapped in a cycle of debt, struggling to make ends meet in a foreign country with limited resources.
The husband’s job, though providing some income, is insufficient to cover the rent and provide for the needs of their five children.
Netizens Reactions… @Adekoya Adeniran said: “Rule 1! Never sell assets to relocate! NEVER!” olayinkaolowolag7 said: “Skill worker’s route is better for a big family like that.”
@Evolak said; “Greener pasture is not abroad, it’s a location where God has design for you. Understand this and have peace.”
@flikky said; “Why would they bring 5 children at once nawoo.”
@peaches said; “You see why I keep saying Canada is better than UK in terms of studying.”

TheGoodJoe: I watched the video and I must say, I think the man was right.
Some might say he should not have taken it out on the ladies who just want to fly the flag and represent their country but the man made few salient points.
Football is now a global Force. If we paint that all is well in Nigeria, we do a great disservice to the hundreds dying everyday under the mayhem of the mismanagement of the current administration.
He is an old time footballer, he is letting us know that it is wrong for Nigerian youths to play for the country.
Flying the flag under and evil Government is the same thing as supporting them.
I never knew that but the man made his point clear. Protested in the way he knows how and maybe he might have started a change from another angle.
Those guiz shd just thank God dat d guy does not ve a gun with him or he hasn't taken hard drugs yet B4 coming on d bus. He was physically angered n bitter, God deliver us from attacker like dis. May God touch him to cool down n find joy, amen!

The man urged the footballers to return to their bases and not represent Nigeria, which he described as a terrorist nation under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nigeria's national female football team, Super Falcons have been subjected to hurls of abuse from an angry Nigerian in Vienna, Austria.
This happened on a bus after their training in the European country. The visibly angry Nigerian man was mad that they could represent Nigeria despite all the human rights abuses recorded by the government of Muhammadu Buhari, including the killing and arrest of peaceful protesters.
A contingent of the nine-time African champions - Nigeria - on Sunday arrived in Vienna, the Austrian capital, for an 8-day training camp as part of preparations for some upcoming games, most notably the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament.
Lagos is scheduled to host the six-nation invitational that will see the Super Falcons, Ghana’s Black Queens, Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Morocco, and Mali compete in September for a trophy named in honour of Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
Twentry-six players, alongside technical and administrative staff, are staying at the Event Hotel Pyramide, Vienna for camping.
However, a video seen by SaharaReporters on Tuesday shows how the team were subjected to a tirade of abuse from a visibly angry Nigerian in the European country.

Great idea! But on a 2nd look, one will want to look @ availability of raw materials, nearness of raw materials n oda issues dat may not fly. If we can import vehicles,Y can't we take delivery of d trains? We will get there one day.
pharmagba: They should have made it compulsory in the agreement that those locomotives be assembled here in Nigeria, this will definitely create jobs, boost local industry that fabricates steel , and also ensure we have a ready service centre that can repair any fault that may occur both on short term and long term and we won't have to be running to China at every issue
