Enesth: True. It's not an easy path. The day I started with JS it was as if my brain was being turned upside down, infact I didn't pickup the laptop for 2 weeks. Lol
But working on little projects makes me understand the fundamentals better. I realized projects challenge and improve your coding skill. One really have to be determined.
Isn't Kotlin and JS similar? And is it necessary to understand algorithm and data structure after learning the basics in any language? No, they are not similar. Data structures and algorithms will help a developer to write readable, efficient, clean, lesser and concise code. It will be difficult for your website or Application to get crash. It makes you understand more about the language. It will make your code nicer. Company requires a developer to understand data structures and algorithms and they take it seriously. Knowing it will make a person to develop a scalable website or application with greater functionalities. |

Absolutely brilliant!! Everything they said here is correct. 3D industry is a multi billion dollar industry that has not yet fully tap in Nigeria why because many people or entertainment companies don't know the importance of these software application or let me say lacking of 3D firms or 3D gaming centres and 3D studios in Nigeria. Go to www.artstudio.com you will see how 3D animation companies, firms entertainment industries and gaming industry badly need people who know how to use 3D animation software application to develop characters and environment and bring them to live. I encourage Nigerian youths to look into this untap industry. Although, it very expensive compare to programming. |

That's right, logical thinking skill.
I'm a newbie (aiming to be a frontend dev) Just starting out with JS Good to hear that. Just be pushing it back and forth. To be good at Programming is not easy, it requires serious work and patience. I have finished with the Kotlin basics now learning data structures and algorithms. |

tevinsolt: Hey man I understand where you are coming from, but you are going to have to do better than just using that simple argument because the choice you'll get could be any of these two (Tinubu or Osibanjo) VS say Atiku.
Until the "good guys" roll up their sleeves and trousers to get their hands dirty and feet wet by infiltrating both APC and PDP..... You'll have to choose from what's presented to you. So pick your poison. Can't we have another person ? Why is always all these people?? They will not do anything than to loot more of Nigeria treasury. Why always these people?? Ooh God And bros do you know that you're very wicked?? You say I should pick my poison?? |

tevinsolt: I wasn't done putting down my thoughts....here's what I think.
I think Tinubu or Osibanjo will make good presidents for different reasons. Nigeria is desperately in need of a compassionate leader, who will set a new path for Nigeria's democracy and a new and dignified meaning to what it means to be a CITIZEN of Nigeria. This is where I think Prof. Yemi Osinbajo's strength lies.
As for Tinubu, his record shows....He has the potential to become a defining figure in Nigeria's journey to real civilization/development. He's savvy and knows how to play the long game. There's a high chance that he'll leave strong institutions in place for others to build upon. Na so una talk in 2015 when we were all grooming Buhari. This is 2021 again we are grooming another Pro Max Buhari for president. |

Enesth: Even tho I'm still in the beginner's phase, it has changed how I approach things. It teaches me how to think, Breaking complex stuffs down.
Also does a programmer/developer ever leaves the beginner's phase? It seems there's always something new to learn every time.
In my own view, programming is a way of thinking, I think it's really a skill everybody should have.
What do you guys think and how has it changed you too? Well said. Logical thinking when writing those codes putting them together to produce meaningful output is one thing that baffles me a lot. The way you reason deeply and think about some tools and framework to learn everyday is another thing entirely. Programming is another way of life!! Anyway, what programming language did you write?? I write in Kotlin for Android development. I would also like to meet you. I like always appreciate girls in tech. |

Intel graphics card is too poor for any graphics related work. noble2faith: It is Intel. Which version can run on Intel? Intel graphics card are too weak to run any 3D software. That is why you need a laptop with dedicated graphics card either NVIDIA Graphics Card or AMD Radeon Graphics Card because using of 3D animation software is graphics oriented. An area where you don't need to have Graphics Card is if you're programming. |

What's the solution? What is your laptop specifications?? Blender official website recommended at least 8GIG RAM but 16GIG RAM or more recommended At least 4GIG RAM of Nvidia graphics card At least 256GIG SSD. If your laptop specs are lower than these you may have problem running blender |

dam4sam: My 11yr old Son loves coding-die. He has mastered Phyton, moved on to Java Scripts, C# and Programming in 3D , all self taught. Now he is pressurising me to buy him a 3D Printer and a high Spec Laptop that costs almost $7,000. Boy does not know that Kontiri is still hard and Pandemic is not yet gone. Na posting l just dey post the guy since January but God-willing, if l can, l will surprise him on his 12th Birthday with both.
The crazy dude is always talking about how he will be richer than Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos (My fear is that he does not become one of those crazy nerds or have brain problem, he talks too much about things l have not even heard of! injecting people with nanobots to unleash their memory power, something like' Metheskellar' Machine How he wants to harness electric field power around Mars and he would inject me with some thing and l would live for a thousand years! I told him l dont want to live more than hundred, he can keep his invention bla bla bla ).
Sometimes, l fear he is going bunkers (How can an 11yr old be sleeping by 2am and sometimes by 6am he is awake because he has to dress for school (JSS1), but Thank God, l have other children who are more "normal" Children. I do block his internet and seize his electronics (phone and Laptops) at times, to force him to rest, before he falls sick and die on me.
Do any adult and experienced Developer and programmer here go through this kind of phase or should l be very worried about his mental state? He hates playing with his age mates but would rather want to involve in adult discussions or hang-out with them and most time, na to lecture them or some scientific, futuristic thing on is mind. I like your boy. You have a great child he has a superb dream and he is working towards it. One thing that I guess that could slow him down is the country we are in. Support his dream. I would love to meet your boy, I like to meet people like him. |

It should be something I can learn from watching YouTube videos, buying course on udemy or any source etc. I recommended you to look at 3D Animation. It is a new oil amongst other digital skills. Though it is very expensive to run because of high end machine and software you need. 3D is broad like other digital skills but you can specialised yourself in a particular field. 3D Animation consist all the following professional field: Rigging Artist Modeling Artist Characters Artist Environmental Artist Vehicle Artist Hard Surface Artist Concept Artist Material Designer Lighting Artist Dialogue Designer 3D Animators Motion Graphics VFX Artist Lead Designing Artist Texturing Artist Rendering Artist Technical Designing Artist Software Application you need are : Zbrush Autodesk Maya Unreal Engine Adobe Photoshop Blender Houdini Cinema 4D A graphics drawing tablet A good laptop of at least 8GIG RAM 256GIG SSD with 2GIG RAM Nvidia graphics card.
