How is kotlin treating you? are you good with maths?
Android development is wide, broad, complex, complicated and well advance. The reason behind why some devs ran away from it to Flutter development using DART. They say it is easy to develop App faster than going native.
However, all thanks to Google for making Android development to look like that. No where is easy in tech oooo
You are funny! What does math need to do learning Kotlin?

After doing some research i found out that mobile app dev. is a bit more complicated than web dev. but are webmasters still a hot cake in the job market? i thnk i will finally settle with web app, but my question is; is it lucrative? i know is not about money but i want to dedicate 4years to ths thing cos its gonna be my lifetime career so i want something awesome, and if you are on the web dev. part pls can you list the languages to learn in order to be a well grounded webmaster?
Every tech field is lucrative if someone is serious about it and you have the available resources to scale through. Anyway, I am into native Android development using KOTLIN. I don't know much about web development.
Yeah! If you say mobile development it complicated I agree it is broad compare to web development.

Programming / Re: What Was The Very First Programming Language You Learnt? by Sheriman(m): 8:34pm On Sep 15, 2023
airsaylongcome:
Started with BASIC while self studying in JSS2. QBASIC and IBM BASIC mostly. Them went to Uni and learned PASCAL. It was in uni that I fully understood all the BASIC I was typing all those years back. And it turned out very helpful. My first two programming courses were a breeze in uni. I was so good that my instructor referred people to me for "tutorials". In fact in my final exam for Programming II, I literally walked into the exam hall directly from the club from the night before. Half intoxicated and only just having enough time to brush, bathe and freshen up. Still got an A lol. Then I became too confident heading into Data Structures and Algorithm and got a very low B. By this time, OOP had become the trend so we switched to C++. It was brutal changing from Procedural programming to OOP. Still managed to use "sense" to get through that course. Got to DBMS and things hook. I could never fully understand the abracadabra that was SQL. Sure I can do basic SQL selects and all, but all those inner joins and more complicated stuff like 4NF normalisation and Backus-Naur Normalisation were just pure wizardry for me back then.

Edit: Also dabbled into Java. And still have some dreams of coming back to Java. But for now, I dey try see front. So it's mostly Linux bash files and some RPA programming I do. A sprinkling of Excel Macros if I absolutely have to
You have really tried for yourself but I advise you to niche down to only one language and the master of the language. I think that is the best thing to do as a programmer

You be big boy oooo!!! If you're waiting, you just gonna wait forever because if Apple release M3 dey gonna release M4 after that M5 after that M6 and on and on like that

Programming / Re: Why I Think Animation Is A Better Career Path Compared To Software Development by Sheriman(m): 2:36am On Sep 14, 2023
Which one be better career?? Just do what is easier for you. Some people find it easier in writing codes while others find it difficult. Some people find animating of characters difficult but easier writing codes not only that we also must look at the entering requirements for animation compare to software development, It is total different entirely.
3D animation is capital intensive for average Nigerians to start unlike software development where you can use a budget laptop to start learning. Their learning curve is different. We all know the financial situation of ourselves in this country so Nigerians will go for a tech field where the entering requirements is not too much for them even as low as entering requirements for software development is thousands of young people can't still afford a low budget laptop and data.

Politics / Re: Officers Only Extort Young Nigerians With Ingenuine Means Of Income – Police by Sheriman(m): 2:21am On Sep 14, 2023
Sharpsharp00123:
This is just d bitter truth many Nigerians will never want to agree with cos blacks like to lie to themselves a lot

Me n my friends have been stopped many times n I realize the only thing those police officers care about is what u do for a living n a proof of it, once u can present these things they will just tell u to find them something

But u see all those yahoo boys, imagine a small boy driving a Benz with his name on it n he doesn’t have any proof to what he does/did to acquire that, then police will extort him cos he’s into shady things

I just laugh when some people talk about police brutality, don’t let us lie to ourselves everyone knows d criminals among us….enter anywhere be it eatery, mall or anywhere n u will b able to recognize youths that are into shady things

From d lousy wear to useless hairstyles to different piercings n tattoos police identify them easily n once they know they are guilty then they will have to pay

Before u quote me ask yourself if all these things are lies, even my 7 year old neighbor son can point a yahoo boy on d street by observing his dressing alone

We all know d truth but we take delight in lieing to ourselves

Which work is a secondary school boy from a poor home is doing that is making him use a phone of 400k?

Which work is a university drop out with no job doing to suddenly buy Lexus?

Which work is a university student doing to build hostel in his school?

What work is a jobless person doing to suddenly start flaunting flashy things?

People will turn a blind eye n even tag anyone that tries to question them “ jealous “ “envious “ bad belle n co not knowing they are emboldening criminals

In Nigeria we celebrate the thief n insult the police but when our property gets missing we call on d same police we hate
Our society has totally gone since the day we started encouraging fraud, glorifying fraud, justifying fraud and making excuses for fraud.

The way in people in Nigeria talk about japa by making it looks like everybody that left Nigeria moved just to go and make money. A lot of people like me moved just because we want peace of mind and also have a good environment where our children grow to be whatever they so wish to become. Before I left Nigeria, I was making good money and I was also travelling to Europe atleast once a year. So it was about money for me and so many others. I think we just got tired of the fact that nothing is working in Nigeria. The poor healthcare system, bad roads that turns journeys of 30mins to hours, the air and noise pollution, the education system, the reckless way of driving that usually results deaths of innocent citizens and the most annoying of all, the criminals that call themselves POLICE who are always out to extort hardworking citizens but fails to go after the real criminals (God knows they are Nigerians’ worst enemy even worst than politicians).

I was rich in Nigeria but don’t have peace of mind and stress wanted to kill me. But here I’m comfortable financially and I also have peace of peace of mind. I can walk at anytime of the day with thinking of been hit by a car that’s not roadworthy or Okada neither are there any police looking to harass or extort me.

We cannot all live in abroad neither can we all live in Nigeria. I just feel it wrong to always assume people are leaving Nigeria just because of money.

90% of Nigerians leave because of money and social status so people will definitely generalized it. Alright!

That's why I laugh when I see some people boasting about how developed the south east is..and how developed Lagos and Abuja are .
Every So called City or town in Nigeria is a mess.

It's an indication of how stupid Africans are 😁😁😁

From Abia to Zamfara
From Enugu to Lagos
From Oyo to Calabar
From port Harcourt to Lokoja
From Owerri to Abuja....

We don't have cities...No planning , No drainages, No proper road network..Just Buildings littered everywhere.

😀😀
Visit their so call over hype estate they are building up and down you will see that their is no planning of how a modern society should look like. No proper drainage system during raining season everywhere will become mess, no secluded reserve place for school, public library, hospital, market, shopping mall, recreational centre, pedestrian way, public garage for cars. Nothing of these. Na just to dey build 150Million homes up and down.

A city is not a city if it does not have good water drainage system. A city without proper drainage system during raining season everywhere will become dirty and a city without proper wastage system everywhere will be smelling. This is how are lot of cities in Nigeria look like.
