robonski15:@robonski I am sorry. Please could you send a text message or call back as soon as possible? Thanks. |
Hello guys! Can anyone supply 100,000 fingerlings (mean body weight = 1g)? If you can, please contact me on 08039418283 as quickly as possible. Thanks. |
People should try as much as possible not to misinform other people. The beauty of silence is always appreciated. That fish belongs to the family Polypteridae (species is probably Polypterus senegalus; African Lungfish) and not Heterobranchus longifilis; African Catfish which belongs to the family Clariidae. In the process of self preservation, the African Lungfish undergoes aestivation (not hibernation) when surrounding water is drying up. |

From the posts I've seen so far, we Nigerians definitely deserve the politicians/sc.ums who govern us and make our laws. I despair for our future! |
I came about nairaland while looking for mtn and 'vmobile' broswing cheats/tricks in 2005. I registered immediately. After a while, I couldn't log in cos I forgot my password, forgot the email I used. Registered again, forgot again and forgot about NL for a long time. In 2009, I registered again with my main email address to prevent another memory loss. |
@OP From what you posted, I can deduce that your boss is not a g.ay! I got the feeling that he only wants to get rid of you from the job so that he would be able to put his own person. Stick in there, don't give up your job for such a thing! Or can't you say NO!!! repeatedly for a million times ![]() |
@Seun "You may never be a billionaire" is CLEARLY DIFFERENT from "You can never be billionaire". Stop twisting words for your own benefits!!! |
what's all the obsession with being a billionaire this is exactly the same mindset that those "independence" generation had which eventually got us where we are. Einstein, Fermi, Wright brothers never billionaires. Pls Change the way you think ! Tell us you want to invent something worthy. then we will wish you goodluck! |
I'd give everything to marry an agnostic Nigerian female! But sadly, they are non-existent here! Na myth! Dem no dey 4 9ja at all! |
This is so rub.bysh! This is a bad precedent. How can the government tell landlords what to do in a free market environment? Is everything not Laissez faires anymore? When landlords were building their houses at high cost plus several Omo Onile palavers, where were the government? Landlords should always endeavour to be reasonable with their terms and agreements but If you as a prospective tenant don't like their contract terms, try elsewhere! The real problems are the agents, lawyers and estate managers! They are the shylocks in the industry. If government can't sort those peope out for real, they should face their so called low (high) cost estates and leave Landlords alone!! |
Not that I'm condoning's Mourinho's action but I'm sure that 'Mourinho's Finger Poking an eye' is photoshopped. Mourinho's skin is tanned to the wrist and. The skin From the wrist to the fingers is pale. Why is that My Friends, those are Photoshoppers at work. In the Video, Mourinho released his hand from the guy's right ear just before the guy turned. Make una no bobo us! |
Thanks in advance! |
Thanks! |
Wow! Some ppl are just naive. Nigerian graduates are useless? They have no entreprenual skills? They are lazy? What a load of rubbish! Aren't most of you guys graduates too? How many of you have created something worthwhile in life? There are loads of unemployed graduates all over the world and they are never useless to their countries. They are GREAT ASSETS and not a burden. Nigerian elders go dey shout 'be an entrepreneur' this, 'be creative' that, 'take risk' this, 'don't just complain' that. There are a lot of graduates cum entrepreneurs who are in debts after their 'risk taking' in Nigeria (a country where facilities sh!t)! Why do you think that some unemployed people resort to yahoo yahoo+419? After a few years of 'hammering', they tell you to your face that they are entrepreneurs looking for business to invest into! The woman wey talk self na dumbbaby. That's surely a tongue in cheek comment. Would she have her present job without her connections even though she's a graduate? What about her country's mind boggling federal representation scheme which renders meritrocracy redundant? But can we really blame her in a country where the churches and mosques pray and fast for corrupt people every day and night. Una go just dey misyarn because you easy access to the internet! |
Check out this blog about the looting at walworth road. A lot of pics in there too. http://motowns..com/2011/08/im-no-writer.html |
London is burning because some Londoners set some parts of it on fire. Let it burn jo. Awon Akebaje oshi! ![]() |
Truth be told, She's a beautiful woman. But as an actress, she's just Ok! I've never seen a special performance from her. She's Overrated. Rita Dominic and Mercy Johnson are better actresses!!! About Oprah's comment about her, all na cheap publicity to help a fellow black woman! PS: How many foreign movies (Ghana no dey o)has she been casted in ![]() |
Hmmm! Be careful what you wish for o. Landlords are not dumb ooo. They have eyes, ears and brains too o. Anyway, Lagos State government is wise enough not to impose unnecessary tax like that. They have what you call tenament rate that is being charged on all developed lands (Uncompleted buildings are not even left out). The bigger the house, the greater the tenament rate. If government decides to impose another tax on rented properties, they are free to do so. But they should be fully awared that it is the tenant that will bear the brunt of the taxation. If government tax the landlords Nx per annum, and they would in turn add N2x to the rent. Chikena! |
What a crying shame! This is no satire, it is Xenophobia! Xenophobia and all other forms of bigotry are no longer acceptable in our world. A citizen can do a satire on his country, but no foriegner is allowed to do such a thing. If an Englishman sing a song to diss the germans, the song would be banned! This song should be banned! It is from a bigotted mind. |
@OP Awori (just like egba, ijebu, oyo, ogbomosho, ibadan, ife, ekiti etc) is a tribe of the yoruba ethnic group. Your post showing that awori is not part of the yoruba is misleadling. Please, Modify your post. |
Less than N150/day my foot! Where did they get statistics from? You can't even feed a 6yr old kid on that daily not to talk of aldults? Athough poverty is widespread, N150/day stat is ridiculous. The figures quoted by the minister are right! What is he going to gain by lying? Why do you think that we don't starve to death in Nigeria? Ever heard of food shortage in Nigeria? Just imagine all the owambe rice everyday, imagine indomie and all other kind of pasta, all the breads, cakes, etc. Maybe you believe that those figures are for Nigerians only. What about those one that are taken out of the countries to other neighbouring countries through smuggling (it used to be the other way round a few years back)? What about all the foriegners living in Nigeria? Do they bring their own food in or they buy from those imported ones? A lot of food is consumed daily, sadly, most of which are imported. And the figures for fish would have being higher if not for the increased production of catfish through aquaculture. |
U guys never ceased to suprise me with your reasoning! ! Just imagine the amount of bread, cakes, sasages, frozen fish and rice we consume daily, or do you think that they are produced in Nigeria? I don't doubt the figures, not at all, but what do you expect from a consuming country Nada! everything is 'Not Made In Nigeria'!!! |
Truth be told, Pure water satchets should be banned. Not because of the plastic satchets but because of hygiene. How many of you consume water from those satchets? It's really condescending from you guys to claim you want them for the masses. There are a lot ways you can get clean water to people without resorting to satchets. Talking about littering, it is rampant everywhere. The way we use plastic bags to package a lot of commodity in Nigeria is really appalling. And that is what bothers me the most. It seems that nobody really cares about the environment in Nigeria. In 2008 when we were carrying out a study, I can vividly remember how shocked we were having found out Eko Hotel and Suites were dumping plastics bottles and kitchen wastes directly into Kuramo Lagoon. That particular effluent point had the lowest D0 in the whole of the lagoon. I can't just imagine how that place would be now |
