malali: I agree with Usman Yusuf’s assessment that his detention and denial of bail reflect a troubling attempt by President Bola Tinubu’s administration to silence critics and suppress dissent.
His experience, being detained without a warrant, subjected to intimidation, and held for 30 days despite no capital charges, violates democratic principles and constitutional rights, as he rightly notes.
It’s particularly ironic that Tinubu, a former NADECO activist who fought military rule, now appears to stifle opposition, undermining Nigeria’s democratic freedoms. Yusuf’s resolve to continue speaking out highlights the importance of protecting dissent as a cornerstone of democracy, and his ordeal serves as a stark warning against the drift toward authoritarianism. Tinubu wasn’t a NADECo activist. He was doing attaché with them. The real fighters for democracy stayed in Nigeria during Abacha’s time, Tinubu ran away to yell from abroad. |

The 7th gen Accord is more refined and accelerates better from a stop than the 8th gen Accord. It's more beautiful too. The 8th gen from 2010 to 2012 is actually better than any 7th gen. |

Ruke1991: everybody in south Africa and Israel have gun. Those places are more peaceful than Nigeria. Access to gun checkmates the outlaws That’s what many do not understand. If everyone is allowed to own guns legally, there’s a very high chance of reduced crimes because of fear of retaliation. That doesn’t erase the fact that there’ll still be some shootings but not what we have now when marauders will storm a place and kill people without them having the chance to at least fight back. |

Gilgil: So at the Band A price, it means they use 214 Million units a year? That’s 214 Million KiloWatt Hour a year!!!!
That’s roughly 20 million units of electricity a month? 20 Million KWH a month? If an average Nigerian household of 3 bedroom flats runs 3 ACs of 1.5HP each and 2 freezers 24hrs a day for 30 days NIN-stop, they won’t consume 1,000 units. So that roughly means ASO rock uses electricity of 20,000 households on uninterrupted electricity per month (20,000,000 /1,000 =20,000 ) or more like 60,000 average Nigerian households who have 8 hrs of electricity per day every day with no failure!!
Even the highest electricity consumers in electricity being steel plants that use electric arc furnaces for melting steel have not used 1% of that sef in a year
I spit on their corruption!
At this rate, where is the hope for Nigeria? Renewed Hope? All those Efulefus who come out and say people are speaking I’ll if their country won’t say a word now! The sad thing is their supporters wouldn’t even try to sit down and breakdown the situation as you’ve done. They’ll find reasons to justify their actions. |

How do business thrive with such inconsistent policies. No institution handles anything. Leaws that protect individuals and businesses does not apply here.
