Good morning mothers. How is motherhood journey. Please my question is my son will be 1 by 6 th of june. He eats adult meals now and foes not take his cereal again. My issue is he refuses it even in the night now. Can i just switch to beverage for him? Or i have to wait till he is 1 ghan ghan. Then which beverage can i switch to, if i want to use Dano milk, is it full cream or cool cow?

The joy and beauty of motherhood. My son started walking today and i feel so so happy. He is 10 months and it just feels like a birthday gift for me. I am so happy i just started singing and dancing. I wonder how excited i will feel when he wears school uniform for the first time or when he graduates from the university or when he comes home saying mummy i want to get married. The joy of watching him grow takes away the stress involved in raising him. Its all beautiful. God bless our children and God keep our homes.

i have tried diff cereals to know which she likes,pap,custard,sweet/irish potatoe,boiled plantain ,amala,semo with draw soup,even tried the semo prepared like pap and added milk as a mother suggested here no way. The thing is that she might eat very well now without stress,the next meal time will be wahala. She just wants to keep sucking. Am even thinking of stopping breast feeding may if nothing to suck again she will accept her faith and start eating. Thank for your concern i appreciate..

First of all, relax mama. Let me share my experience. My baby weighed 3.8 at birth, 6.8 wt 6 weeks and i was so happy. Suddenly baby D just stopped eating including breastmilk o. He stopped sucking at 6 months. There was no cereal i disnt try, tom brown, ordinary pap, adult food, food and fruit purees, he just wont take it. He may go for 9 hours without food. The only thing he takes is water. I cant count the number of times i v complained here, ask the pediatricians, every available platform. I tried abidec, welkid went as far as bco and guess what, non worked. So i gave up and turned prayer warrior and mind you he was having episodes of diarhoea o without feeding. I let him be cos i was exhausted. As long as he is strong and meeting his milestones. He was growing faster than his mates sef. That was the peace i had. Guess what, when i stopped worrying that was when baby D started eating. Now he can eat for africa and he is 10 months. I force him to eat twice a day before and now he eats not less than 5 times a day, wakes up twice at night to eat. He just started eating every and anything, adult food, snacks, cereals just anything. Moral lesson of my epistle ma is that relax, sometimes children can make u fee like you dont know what you are doing, as long as you are doing your best, leave the rest. Dont give up but dont beat yourself up. My baby started eating well at 10months.your baby will be fine you hear. Have a great day y'all

Mothers,i hail ooo,abeg,senior mamas,dd u add milk 2frisogold rice,i read it contains milk already,is d milk necesary..

I dontadd milk to his milk based cereals simply because i have tried itand it purged my son and since it is written that the cerral contains milk so i don't bother to add milk and i am at peace. Uou can give a bottle of milk seperately probably once a day if u are not satisfied with milk in the cereals.

Sorry m just responding to this, dont know how my eyes skipped the post. I paid 7k for it but learnt its free at community health department of luth on mondays - thursdays. I went on a friday and couldnt go back cos i had to resume work following monday. So i did it at the family planning dept of Luth.

See as your eyes shine. Lol. No side effect on me o. Period didnt cease neither is it heavy, normal 5 days. And no extra weight except when i over eat. A friend also did same type after her first baby, she removed it in october and got pregnant by February. So i plan to remove mine like 3 months to the time i will be ready so my system would v regulated back. Please speak with your doctor to know the best for you.

Same here too, my period returned exactly 28days after delivery and my baby stopped breasfeeding by himself at 6 months also. I did the implant family planning, the one for 3 years but will remove when i am ready for the next baby. Funny enough my period still shows monthly and my husband just faya dey go anyhow with no caution at all . Its being a while, how is everyone

Kpele dear, that's babies for u o. Can i ask if he's still on BM n how many times a day do u serve him his cereal? Have u tried adding pap or hollandia custard to his food routine?( this is what i'm thinking of introducing to him sha very soon)

Breast milk ke. He stopped sucking himself since when he was 6 months. He takes cereal 4 times during the day, 260ml at once, thats like 11 scoops at once. he refused spoon also, and he eats once at night. He snacks on cheese balls once in a day. I tried pap, tom brown and custard, he rejected all. But he takes little of boiled potatoes, boiled plantain also. Gradually i know he will improve.

Mgeey and nggie, both of u are licky o. My baby takes 2 spoons of adult food and that is all. He finishes a tin of cereal in less than 2 days. I bought 6 tins 1st of this month, everything all gone and e no dey show for his body.
@pjtatcher, whats the cost of cartons of frisogold rice and wheat?
He has rejected every other type of cereal.

The only thing i can say is the heat nowadays is demonic. God help us as nepa don do collabo with mr sun and heat to deal with us. What i do to help my son is whenever he is sweating, i put wash clothe like face towel in cold water, squeeze the water out and use to damp his body instead of pouring him cold water that can lead to cold. I do this as often as possible and it helps alot. Rashes disappeared within a day. So when nepa strikes, our wash cloth and cold water is out.

Cerelac is from 6 months, please discontinue and get cereals appropriate for her age, there are quite a lot. Why no give her formula and breast milk till 6 months before introducing cereal.

Thanks @MumZ and @favoredgal. She took all her dose of rotavirus , her two lower teeth both came out at once without any issues at all i'll be more watchful of what she puts in her mouth from now on. We've been using the same diaper for the past 3 months now without issue(molfix) that's why i'm skeptical about it being the diaper. Thanks i really appreciate

You know we are both in the same ship as pa poo. But my lo never had diaper rash. What i do is change his diaper immediately he poos. Had to get cheaper diaper sef for the pooing episode so i wont feel bad when i change it like 5 times a day. Took my baby to the hospital for test so the poo was cultured and will get the result tmrw. Though it has reduced sha and i was told to watch his food and probably change his water too. So i am switching from eva to nestle and i am also switching from nutriben 4 cereals to gerber cereal cos of sugar content. Hope it works. It is well with them. Gerber specialists, please which flavour is appropriate for 8 months.

Cerelac is from 6 months, gerber rice cereal is from 4 months. Whatever you are buying please make sure it has 4-6 months written on it. For gerber what you will see is supported sitter.

This has been my cross for 3 weeks now. My 8 months old baby poos after every feed and its lose. He stopped for a week and started again. Took him to the hospital and was given emgyl, ors and zinc, i doubt those things worked. He no longer sucks, stopped himself at 6 months. When i went bavk to the hospital the doctor said it is teething cos he is still over active if not hyper, he is feeding well and drinking water like camel. The thing i do now is take it to the Lord in prayer as i yaff taya for the poo.

Good evening mummies, how are the lo. Please i am worried, my 7+ months old son has been stooling for 2 weeks now. Loose stole immediately after feeding. I took him to the hospital and he was given emgyl, antibiotics but the antibiotics made it worse so i was told to stop and give onky the emgyl. He is taking zinc 10mg and we v finished the last dose(10th one) today but the stoll has not stopped. He is currently feeding on only cerelac rice cereal and nutriben 4 cereals. These are the things he eats before and he use to poo like once in 3 days before. What can i do abeg as he is now lean. He refuse ors. He is crawling, has 2 teeth, hyperactive as well.

Good morning mothers please i want to rant o. How do i make my 7 month old slee without waking up for no reason but to cudlle. And if i dont pet him he will be screaming. Not that he is hungry cos he refuses food. But he does that like 3 or more times every night and some times i have to back him. Also please how do i introduce spoon. He is taking only bottle meaning only cereal, had to expand the teeth of his bottle for easy flow of the thickness. He just doesnt want spoon and he doesnt want adult food too. I have mashed all sweet mashables. Please help a sister o. Then what age can he start using cup for water instead of feeding bottle.

@sheweezy, there are baby yoghurts that you can get from wherever you buy your cereals. You can try that too. You can also mix it with fruits or other purees and see if your baby will like it.

It is well with your LO, read page 420&421. Someone also complained and was worried about same thing and i think other mothers responded. I dont know much about this but i know it is well with you and your baby. You can also read online and when u go for the next appointment, ask ad many questions as possible till you are clarified.

I tried amala and ewedu with titus fish, i tried tom brown sef, sweet potato, did banana puree, avocado he refused all. I tried the egg yolk yeaterday, he took it, today nba. He has never been a food lover. And i honestly dont know where he gets his energy from. He has 2 teeth already, crawling and wven standing while holding table amd chair. Happy new year everyone. It shall be a year of bountiful harvest for all of us. Please can i give my 7 months old baby yoghurt? He stopped sucking breadt himself and m trying to see how i can make him take balanced diet. Please what else can i give him apart from cereal and water as thats the only thing he is takingfor now.

@Proudmom38, my advice, whatever u are getting, milk or diaper, get the small quantity first so as to watch your ba it's reaction cos what works for one baby may not work for yours. Like mothers have suggested, cow and gate is good. Nan is good, sma is good, aptamil, similar etc are all good, depends on your pocket and your baby's tolerance. Diaper too, molfix i heard is good, blierbleir and some others.

You can continue with my boy for her milk but chill till 6 months before she starts cerelac. There are other cereals for babies from 4-6 months. My baby took Gerber rice cereal for 4-6 months. There's also heinz, cow and gate. When you go shopping, check the age written on the tin before u pick anyone.
