mtaj:i dont know ur history and experience with the north and i am not just here to pick out a tribe i can bash plus there other northerners or pple u understand what i am saying, one thing i can tell u is there is a core-north or more appropriately, we have core-northerners, i know exactly what i am talking here i came this close to being killed by student i was suppose to teach while serving and i understand why they do most of these things, how they think and some of their problems with their perceived enemies. and please stop saying the three northern region, from sokoto to bauchi to borno and co. the hausas/fulanis/muslim r all the same in character. |
Beaf:Taken!!! i have always felt thay way too. what i am really condfused about is the south, the north has and will always be negative influence on the idea of Nigeria, what happens to all southern state? will there not be new division? will the north ever live the south alone?,even after seperation? they r bent on making this region insecure? they simply hates southerners(West, SS, SE). |
mtaj: mtaj:Look dude, i think i know the core-North he is talking about. while i was serving in bauchi just between 2 weeks and 10 month after the November 28 crisis in Jos i saw first hand most of Beaf's claim in that post u quoted him. these pple r looking for the slightest way to start a fight with anything not Hausa/Islam and u will be surprised at the logic in their reasoning. they actually see anything from yoruba muslim to the average southerner as inferior to them cos Islam tells them so or better yet they inferred it from the Holy Qur'an i cant. plus the average hausa man live his life with a ready-to-die mentality. as for the core northerner definition, they r mostly Hausa/fulanis/muslim (hausas/fulanis who r muslim ). in the place i serverd i can tell u they r not up to 25% of the population but their willingness to cause havoc at the slightest provocation makes them the most notorious. |
Beaf:@beaf how shld the country be split?, how many part shld we it split it into and how will the nu regions be void of same problem we r facing? i really like to hear ur answers because i have thought of it myself i can't seem to come with one even though i support the idea to some extent.
Now you are talking solution :- The president should invite Boko haram leaders, talk to them and try to resolve the issue If that does not work, then military action should be taken to make sure the BH are arrested and persecuted
The boko haram r not ready to face anybody for conversation and the military is so infiltrated, u dont even want to imagine it. Sometimes back during the plateau crisis some pple with explosive and weapon were caught and before u know it fed agent came and seized these pple for further investigation which we have heard nothing about. even the plateau governor came out to lament his innocence and how he has been in the dark over that particular case. now how do u expect such force to solve BH problem for us. we need sophisticated help from advanced nations to solve this problem. |
did not vote because i felt the election was an OBJ question with None of the above as its right answer. GEJ/PDP and Buhari/CPC + the other were not good enough. |
DaLover:five young coup plotters what happened to their superiors form same tribe you want to tell me they(d ibo superiors) dont know about it ![]() or they were goin to give way for those "5 young coup plotters" to assume power ![]() I get ur message which makes sense, but 5 young coup plotter acting on their own like you inferred is a big joke from u please change that if u can. |
jason2010:when i say they r still well behind i mean "political cohesion" or their "unity-as-one-political-unit" plus they look clueless does not equal clueless except u confirming it for me. U guys can read my posts from A - Z i know exactly what i am saying when i hit the keyboard. 4 the records, though u may find hard to believe, i am no "staunch igbo hater". i am only being objective here. jason2010:they wanted to secede so they killed the other top ranking officers from other major tribe i already know how the average ibo works, since when did bloody coup = secession . . . keep trying to twist English/history, u hear? standard ibo genius. |
Without a doubt the man "tried" but has his weaknesses. Considering the fact he was handpicked from jail tells u he had unconditional Godfathers whom he had to be loyal to, yet he still performed to the extent he did. U never miss somebody until he is gone. |
jason2010:Power is not meant to be tasted, that's the mistake easterner made back in 1966 when they attempted to snatch it, (an action that has gotten them into where they are now) all for tasting purpose . . . Very funny. if we are to go by the regions that re performing when it comes to a state-level assessment then i will give it back to the west in the nearest future. @second_Highlighted_part: going by the state arrangement where every one (region) has freedom to express themselves, the SEners have not given us a reason to consider them for power. they r still well behind and they look more clueless than most regions. they talk hot but blow cold when it's time for action. |
Politics indeed, Pls someone shuld move this outa here, shap shap |
Aaregbesola's actions were mean but that doesn't make him the worst governor ever. at least there r no confirmation that the money for such activities came from the Osun government coffer. |
this is cheap politics from anyone blaming fash or GEJ 4 dis, Fashola or Jonathan can't provide shelter for every one just because they r Nigerian or Lagosian. it a result of neglect by past administrations and the whole of the current admin. (Not just GEJ or BRF alone). This picture is very small low res .jpg picture that depicts another high res. picture (Nigerian factor) in details for those who choose to see. Nigerian wake up and see pls |
Goodluck Ebele Ifeanyi Jonathan is already in power 4 those ibo among us clamoring for anoda ibo presidency come 2015, only God knows may be their next move will be a delta-ibo presidency come 2019 or 2023. u can argue that he is bayelsan but he has enough ibo in him as we all can see from his actions. Ibo pple? . . . same wisdom that got em' we they r today. Lol "Pls NLders", don't pounce on me oh!!! only typing out someones mind. Ufeolorun:GEJ and OBJ r northerners in a southerners' skin. |
I think they (INEC) be allowed to create an extra option of None_Of_The_Above during poll. that way we can know how many voters were frustrated with the options available. I have come to find out that some pple just cast their votes because they feel it is their right to. Election in Nigeria sometimes is like an OBJ question with no answer but no None_Of_The_Above option for those who r smart enuf to realize that all the candidates r not fit for the role they vying for. |
he gba mee oh!! thing tee jona tan (thing do burn finish 4 Yoruba) Jonathan please dialogue with these pple oh |
DaLover:yes, the coup of ibos trigered a counter coup from d north to increase the tension btw east & north to an unmanagable level. In fact that coup made the west to side with the north cos westerners were murdered just like their northern counterpart. If thd west had sided the east then the war could have been a diff. story. And 4 ur info the main tribal/ethnic tension in the country then was btw the north & the east. |
May all stubborn and brainwashed Biafran live long enough to realise their wrongs/mistake and all independent ones remain forever. As for those who think biafra can still return, more grease to y'all elbow. Happy birthday Ojukwu. |
We have so much oil in Nigeria, Why nuclear energy ![]() The problem is not the risk involved but the irresponsible nature of the Nigerian govt. system. Even if we were to adopt nuclear energy as power source the ineffective govt we have don't have any vision of what to do if disaster arises. they don,t value our lives. |
Librate:one hate message after the other, stop sayin ibos gave GEJ support, GEJ/PDP rigged that election en mass, most easterners never really came out to cast their vote. for ur info my previous comment has nuttin to do GEJ commin to power thru ibo support or not, all am saying is the current political predicament/annihilation of the Ibos were caused by Ibos, from west to SS to North no one can be blamed for their plight but Ibos and that's something the ibo have not been able to admit. |
don33310:Uduaghan might be a failure he sure knows sometin abt governance. if u begin to trace his journey to power then u will see clearly why he cant change overnight and dump those who put him in power or their philosophy of power-as-a-means-to-self-empowerment. delta state needs a change urgently. |
Delta state govt. generally is one of the most ineffective state govt. we have around. they have nuttin to show for 13% oil deriv. fund, all we keep hearing about is master plan for warri, IPP e.t.c. with all the sophisticated pple in delta uduaghan still swept ogboru unda d carpet like nothing. |
ezer:like i said in my post this pride and manipulation thing is still affecting u guys, u r a typical xample of a manipulated Ibo. keep wasting ur time denying the obvious truth. |
chmod777:Did igbo nation condenm the coup act ? . . . No. before the coup was carried out igbo had 73% of top positions in Nigerian army, by killing the few Northerners and westerners, what did they mean? before the war Igbosss made enemy and even when the war broke out they made no attempt to attract friend rather they tried to manipulate the world by creating harsh condition that will attract sympathy of the out world. biafran struggle was a series of mistakes caused by pride and ego of those at stake.. Ojukwu manipulated u guys thru ur pride for too long, Igbos Open ur eyes. swallow ur pride, admit the truth, and move forward. |
Biafrans r funny. They started a coup which did succeed. a coup which involves man slaughter of innocent souls and then when those u ve treated as adversaries for no just cause strike back u pple start crying of injustice. Biafran struggle was a big mistake that is hard to admit cos of pride of involved. History lessons learnt: (1). Never go to war for a man u dont know his motives. (2). Never let anyone manipulate u cos of pride, learn to be truthful and honest to urself. |
i think he deserves this in way cos he is doing virtually what no other governor is doing with what some governors like him are receiving(funds). but that doesn't mean he can't improve. Thumbs up Akpabio. |
@KJ_HOVA A Little Perspective Looking at things this way takes some wind out of cheap gas' sails. While paying $1.211 for a gallon of gas, or around $18 for a 15 gallon fill up, seems cheap, it doesn't look so cheap when Algeria's per capita GDP at PPP is $6,965. Filling up twice a month for a year would be $435, or about 6% of per capita GDP at PPP. Filling up a tank in the U.S. the same number of times at $3.417/gallon would cost $1230/year, or 2.6%. according to the extracted part of the second article posted US citizens use a smaller %tage of their income on fuel compared to Algeria. i think that's further reason for the price to be slashed down from N30 so we dont have to work 5 times harder than a US citizen to afford the same thing they can. and if i must add the thread says N30/Ltr ($0.19/Ltr) which translates to about a dollar per gallon and will make Nigeria third most expensive on that list, now that's not so bad. What happened to stats of other non-oil producing nations? it will be better if we can see theirs. |
Ladilgs:that,s what they are planning for according to the topic. |
The population of Nigeria and the claims of the topic r some of the thing i have remained skeptical about. according to history books the firs ever population censor in Nigeria was largely falsified plus most of the population censor we have had has been based on the first one due to the revenue allocation politics and stuffs like that. On the statistics at hand it is had for me to believe it however we shouldn't forget that the average(most) Nigerian live in overpopulated, homes as well as attend schools with overpopulated classrooms. |
Igbo just keep acting like loosers, from biafra to compensation. always complainin about their billions what billions ? ? ?. billions in pounds abi ? igbos suldn't be talking about compensation for a war they fought for what they believe in. after all it cost the Nigerian Govt. money as well fight a war it did not ignite. Igbo army generals shuldn't have carried out the coup they executed(targeting mainly yorubas and northern army officers), that coup messed up everything 4 igbos politically. asorocker:Igbos dont have more graduates than yoruba do and delta/edo has highest literacy level if thats what u talking about (graduate to populatn also). as for per capital income they also provide more fatality via fake substandard products. lesson learnt never gamble with what u cant afford to loose. |
i think it is time we help some pple out here, first on the list is the OP deco2come= deco will arrive (amen) . . . Lol |
Beauty is a very complex issue. while the east Africans come in dark flavour mostly they tend to be slimmer and fitter and that's something u cant take away from a true beauty. |
Shy Guy (spelled as SHEYGUY) behind a PC. guess that's what i am since am always typing it out. |
