Phony200:
*smh* Is it ordinary toefl registration that is causing this ruckus? How come no one is talking about the more than 50 Testing Centres where this exam and its registration is done? How come it's only two names that are flying around? Foolishness gone rampant.
Tell me about it. . . this is just too funny.

True Talk, Obama met with about 47 Leaders, Its not like Some kinda State Visit.
I totally get that. It's not a big deal to me, but I think people are barely acknowledging the fact, that he got invited - I don't think Y'ardua would.

I was watching Sky News late one night . . . all of a sudden, Breaking News: "MJ rushed to hospital" , then came a TMZ confirmed story that he was dead. I started crazy sms'n all my friends telling 'em, no one believed me "you know how the paparazzi are." It was finally confirmed . . . surreal. I was never an MJ fan, but it was so sad and shocking - took a few days to sink in. I'm still young though, but MJ's death tops the list as one of the most unreal days of my life, will never forget it.

yjay:
u ll probably be using 3 or 4, the reason why i say u need to be sure is cos i started using the clarifying lotion 4 abt a mth now cos my face is oily, u start to see results in abt 3 days no joke, but the trick is its a bit harsh so it tends to dry out or cause rashes after a while, so wat u do is after the first few days, u probably dont need to use as much, i use mine once a week now, my face looks like a million bucks, its that good, u start for a couple of days & see how your skin reacts to it & take it from there,
I don't have sensitive skin so I didn't have the same experience. . . I agree with everything else though.
FashionRe: Black Hair Does Grow. Let's Prove It! by shilling(f): 2:28am On Apr 13, 2010
My extension braids don't get messy, your hair might stand out as always so you just trim it off with scissors.
Here is a picture of my braid(2months old) and it's been washed regularly.
I don't get much of a split end honestly, i did when i use to relax my hair but not anymore.
You mosturize the hair and braid.
That is so true. . . I so cannot believe that some chics wear braids for about 3 months or something like that without washing it - that's just nasty. I wash mine, and then allow it to air dry/ blow dry it, then wear a scarf to tame the fly-aways. I also wear a scarf every night.

I prob could go natural too (your hair is enough inspiration lol). Thing is my hair still looks good cos I only relax it twice a year, but I'm always wondering why I even bother. How was the transition process like. . . going natural? Did you trim most of your hair and start afresh?

Ejadamen:
You would not believe things people can sayJellybean, did you redo the braids at the edges of your hair within that 2 months? Didn't the braids drag on your hair? I'm considering braiding and leaving it on for that length of time while washing, conditioning and moisturising but I swim like 3 times a week and I wonder if that will be possible.
jellybean:
Nope i didn't redo the braids at the edges, That's why i put up a picture of the braids when it was 2 months old and washed a couple of times. My hair do grow out but the braids don't drag, it does when i wash it but when dry it's pretty light weight BUT that also depends on the kind of attachment you use. Expression and Darlyn yaki are really light weight and also with the afikan attachment(can't remember the exact name).

If you swim, well if it's long braids then it might drag a lil bit except you braid it like a pony tail. If it's short then you have no problem.
That is so true. . .I have the "touch-and-drop" braids right now, and this is the first time I've worn 'em cos the crazy woman who always braided my hair told me that touch and drop braids is only for people with short hair huh Anyways, I spent Christmas break in Botswana and I got 'em done there, and the girl was super good, and I've had my braids for 4 months now lol. True, when it's washed, it drags a little and loosens up a bit, but the thing about braids is that if you take care of it well, u can wear it as long as u like, esp the touch and drop ones, cos it starts looking really natural and nice (you'd get compliments all the time).

Like you said jellybean, braids are probably the best way to grow hair - if it's prob done (some people make the edges too tight which weakens the hair).

I practically use Facebook like a email and collaboration tool these days. I chat with people, send and receive mail, etc. Nairaland should look at adding more widgets to increase the utility, and also expand the scope of content allowed.Give people the tools to make them use the site more effectively.
I agree with that!!
