Op should ask some serious questions and provide Nairaland with follow up info.

Money wise, N75know isnothing. To put things in perspective, even if op was doing some crappy minimum wage job fulltime, he'll make around $1280 and have a better standard of living.

my boss left his 500k and relocated. not even U.S. sef, ordinary Canada.
What is ordinary about Canada? Immigrants have it much easier in Canada than the US.

TravelRe: Nigerian Immigration Service Phone Number by shilling(op): 11:45am On Apr 02, 2015
Hi, I'm not trying to get it issued by proxy. I need to get approval from NIS Abuja to get a damaged passport reissued in Canada.
TravelRe: Nigerian Immigration Service Phone Number by shilling(op): 11:50am On Mar 31, 2015
Anyone at all?
TravelNigerian Immigration Service Phone Number by shilling(op):
Hello Nairaland,

Does anyone happen to have a number for the Nigerian immigration service? I lost my passport and need approval from Abuja to have a new one issued.

The Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa has said this authorization is difficult to get so they want people to go to Nigeria to get it directly.

If there's someone to contact in Abuja to issue this letter, it would be greatly appreciated.

The number on their website +23497806771 isn't working.

Can this be on the front page? This will save a lot of Nairalanders the time and money of having to travel to Abuja from Canada/Us/Australia.

Also, Tochi, I'll send you an email with suggestions on how to establish help for folks you take pictures of.

Thank you Tochi for your Lagos spin of HONY. The stories are beyond moving, and show the strength and resilience of Nigerians.
EducationRe: Request For Assistance (case closed) by shilling(f): 3:13am On Feb 18, 2015
This is so odd. Who asks to pay a refundable registration fee before you even show up on campus. To make matters worse, you have a scholarship too!

Goodluck though . . . I wouldn't hold my breath.

I'm looking for a place in Toronto. Something near York university. I have seen the worst of the worst. 14 in a house et al
I have a few friends who study/work at York and have had great luck finding apartments downtown and around Bathurst and Sheppard. A friend is sharing a spacious 2 bedroom apartment and is paying around $900. There are many good apartments, you just have to keep looking multiple times a day.
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by shilling(f): 5:42am On Jan 15, 2015
I didn't follow your previous comments, but in what cities are you looking for accommodation? I have a pretty good personal track record of finding great apartments for pretty cheap.

My go-to websites are craiglist and the used..... (insert cityname).com e.g. usedcalgary.com, usedtoronto.com. I check those websites every hour or so and contact landlords immediately to arrange a viewing. Obviously, don't share any personal information with whoever posts the ad. Hope that helps.

jojcanada:
Thanks @deniyor and @saxywale. I have a good idea of what I need to do to stay back. Accommodation is still a bummer. I keep seeing crappy apartments even the ones that are $700. Soooooo frustrating. Kijiji, prop2go, places4students and easyroommate have all failed me.
FamilyRe: Pls Hlp Me I Can't Take Off My Shirt Since 3 Yrs Because Of My Bleaching Skin by shilling(f): 1:19am On Jan 04, 2015
You've gotten a lot of good advice here. I would say the most important thing is time and patience. Stop using so many products at the same time. Focus on a few key products like 5mins said, I also suggest dudu osun, vaseline and shea butter. Don't forget daily sun exposure.

Maybe instead of all of a sudden exposing your arms, try rolling up your sleeves a little at a time so people around you are aware of your skin discoloration. Don't forget to document your experiences in pictures, etc. Share your experience online so people know the dangers of skin bleaching. Good luck.
FoodRe: Why Do Nigerians Hate Local Rice? by shilling(f): 12:37am On Jan 04, 2015
This is a very good point. Brown rice takes forever to cook, pretty much looks and tastes like crap, yet it is popular worldwide. Nigerians need to get over our neocolonial imperial mentality and realize that often times there is nothing wrong with locally made products.

agabaI23:
I mentioned brown rice because it takes ages to cook not because of taste and yet it is exported. It is choice!

The local variants are cool. The Ebony gold from Abakaliki is long grain and you won't know the difference between it and the so called imported by just looking except in taste.

FashionRe: Products You Really Regret Buying. by shilling(op): 6:00am On Dec 15, 2013
Onegai: Clinique is a pretty good line. I especially love their lipsticks which look like gloss and are creamy.

I'm not a fan of MAC for our climate, may I suggest Zaron or Black Up. better yet, go their stores, have them test it out on your skin, walk around for an hour and see if you like it (try before you buy).
I'm all about MAC & Clinique. Haven't heard of Zaron or Black Up, but I checked out the Black Up website. Any particular products you recommend? Interesting that their products are same or more expensive than MAC.

Yes! Clinique sells SPF 50 sunscreen.

OP, judging by your profile, this girl has already had previous abortions? Isn't that a red flag?
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Tested Me With Cheating & 'Pregnancy' by shilling(f): 5:44am On Dec 15, 2013
Hmmmm...why did she wait for 2 weeks though? Very odd.

I hate pranks in general, but the more "normal" thing to do would be to tell you before you travelled, and not wait for 2 weeks! Anyways, if you trust her, go with your gut feeling and continue the relationship.

I have a lenovo g505 and I have no complaints. It was recommended by my brother who's a tech person. I'm in uni and take it to school everyday, but only use it for basic things (nothing fancy like gaming, etc). It's pretty light too.

The thing about zodiac traits is that they don't apply to EVERY SINGLE PERSON across the board. My friend is a Virgo and definitely exhibits these traits.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Zodiac Traits do they really reflect in your character by shilling(f): 10:22am On Oct 13, 2013
BlueRoyale: Yes oct 23rd cusp thingy is 100% true coz I have broda that was born on this date, and to be factual he has the traits of both Libra and Scorpio in his blood! And I really love both signs. He is such a lucky dude to be born in btw such powerful zodiac star.
Yeah, one of my best friends is on the cusp and exhibits both Libra and Scorpio traits.
CelebritiesRe: Lola Omotayo Defends Peter's Photo With Street Hustlers In Canada by shilling(f): 5:23am On Sep 28, 2013
Definitely untrue. There are all sorts of homeless people in North America. You cannot tell if they are homeless or street performers by one picture alone.

Ikengawo: The guys are homeless. They're not street hustlers. This is how homeless people in America and canada look dress and make their money.
LiteratureRe: Chimamanda Adichie & Husband Ivara Esege (photos) by shilling(f): 3:51am On Sep 25, 2013
It's not a valid point because people like Okonjo-Iweala and Ezekwesili were not public figures prior to marriage. They've both been married for over 2 decades while Adichie got married after becoming a renown author.

Chinom: I love Chi girl a lot, but this guy does have a point here. Okonjo is actually Ngozi's father's name. Her husband is Mr. Iweala. Chimamanda could do the same. The world would still recognize her.
By the way, i remember Esege way back at Enugu. Hanging out at Zodiac Hotel. Coal city guys know where Zodiac hotel is.
