The VFS E visa platform seems not to be working as I can't sign up to begin an application. I keep getting this error NOT FOUND when trying to sign up/register while inputting email details.

Does anyone know about the efficiency of the DHA E visa platform?. are they now fast with processing E visa applications or take long?.. so I can apply as an alternative

I am more conversant with VFS E visa platform but unfortunately I can't sign up with the NOT FOUND error message that keeps popping up on the sign up page.

Please assist

Thanks

Hi there,

This is not to conjure anyone but Please dont let us create confusion here

The Evisa platform via the VFS website is actually genuine.

Infact my sister and her daughter were issued the evisa via vfs and they travelled with it to SA via Airpeace in December and no hassles at all.

When the traveller arrives SA @ POE, theres a separate immigration desk that attends to Evisa and verifies it.

Please lets stop this whole confusion.. its genuine!! And kindly move on to giving insights

All the best

Goodnews!!

Alll long term visas applied for in South Africa missions abroad will no longer be processed in South Africa i.e DHA in South Africa which was largely part of the major cause for delays in long term visas being issued or granted

A directive as now being issued effective september 1st 2022 that all long term visa approvals should recommence to be issued or approved at missions of the respective countries where applicants apply.

Goodluck as hopefully things will get better now!!

I'm planning to go the embassy in Lagos next week to see for myself. This is getting out of hand. This issue has gotten to a point where we need to go on Twitter and tag Dabiri and others.

Mr Bankole and to others who care to know. south africa is no longer easily issuing visas as it used to be. Infact i got a first class info today from an immi director in SA that all visas submitted in foreign embassies are to be processed in pretoria home affairs moving forward . Even i a PR holder also had my parents visitors visa denied this week in Nigeria after 5months processing. They are both 70 years + and have visited Australia , South africa , UK and US and yet they denied their applications.

In SA currently a lot as changed with issuing of permits and it as become extremely difficult with the new visa regulations in issuing work visas now due to the operation dudula and locals protesting that foreigners are taking their jobs. Most foreigners are now applying for least alternative permits which is spousal or life partner visas to still be able to stay in SA.

The federal government of Nigerias attention i believe needs to be drawn to the high rate of denials in Nigeria tho and the time line to issuing even an ordinary visitors visa to SA in Nigeria is outrageous which eventually gets denied. This is getting out of hand and no one seems to be talking about it. Its high time we petition those who could intervene in this craziness by SA embassy

Pls my agent told me that it's very hard to obtain visa currently(Starting from December 2018 and January 2019) at SA embassy in Lagos and Abuja.
Now she gave me an option of applying and obtaining the visa for me through SA embassy in Ghana utilizing her contact..
My question: Is it possible to obtain SA visa from Ghana as a Nigerian and still travel from Nigeria without issues. Can the visa be given without the individual seeking for it being physically present in Ghana..
Pls someone with good information should update me before I commit my money..
Thanks

therealprinceuk:
I was denied visa 2 days ago but I still don't know why I was denied, and no I wasn't desperate as I have visas for SA, UK, Turkey etc.
It was supposed to be a family vacation, in NYC 4 nights, NJ 4 nights at my aunt's house and 2 nights in Arizona At the Grand Kenyon.
This is how the interview went...

I greeted the woman but she didn't mind me, she asked for my passport which I handed over to her. she should be above 50 years old, in window 6 or 7, I can't remember. Next time if I ever go back I won't greet them, it seems they don't accept greetings...

In fact when she called me I was happy bc she approved visa for the lady that she interviewed before me. In my heart I didn't want to go to the first lady in window 6 or so, she's very young pretty babe, while I was in the long queue, she interviewed about 7 people and all were refused lol.
So back to my interview, the lady asked where are you going to in USA.
I mentioned New York, New Jersey and Arizona.
She asked have you traveled before, I said yes I have traveled to 10 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, I presently have 3 visas on my passport.
She asked whats your monthly income, I said between 2.5 to 4 million Naira monthly depending on the volume of sales.
She said is that profit, I said no profit is between 400k to 500k monthly.
She asked if I was traveling alone, I said no my wife and kids live in the UK, I was traveling to London to meet them so all of us will travel together.
She said sorry I am refusing your visa, the reasons and details are in this paper, she handed me the paper, I left...

My question is, why was my visa refused? She did not look at any of my documents apart from my passport.
I am not part of the Nigerians that are running away from Nigeria, if I wanted to run away I will be living in UK since 13 years ago bc my wife is British and I have UK visa. But I choose to live in Nigeria even though my wife used to question this decision but I always asked her, is it bc am a black man? If you married an America or Australian will you mandate him to relocate to your country? I am not a billionaire but I am happy that by living in Nigeria and having some businesses here I am helping to grow the economy. Even if its a pure water business or akara that am selling, every month I pay my staffs so I am directly or indirectly feeding many families. I am a serial entrepreneur, every year I travel to top tourist destinations in Europe and Africa and I always come back within 2 or 3 weeks, all the visas and stamps are in my passport, we wanted to go to USA bc I wanted to know if its worth the hype. Besides america is the worlds most important country, I feel I need to visit there even if its for one week.

Why was my visa refused? Is is bc of the cities we intend traveling to or what, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY AND ARIZONA?
Anyways I do not blame these people, if you see the crowd at the embassy you will put in measures to stop as many people as possible. I know for a certainty these countries can NEVER give visa to every Nigerian/African that qualifies for the visa otherwise their won't be enough space to contain everyone.

We will be spending our annual family vacation in Turkey and Greece, if I am in a good mood in December or early next year I may reapply the USA visa but for now I still dey vex bc I shouldn't struggle to get visa to go and spend my hard earned money in someone's country.

you have a good standing bro...but after perusal of your story I feel the VO is not satisfied with ties you have with your family (family ties) i.e staying apart . Unfortunately this is not majorly a problem but the Nigerian factor is what came into play. maybe next time you represnt your story properly and take copies of your families British passport along, also try and build on ties with your family..(I mean something to show u live together)

Arrived Domodedovo Airport Russia yesterday with my wife from SA.. was a nice and decent flight by emirates . The immigration don day change am for Nigerians although nobody was taken to secondary screening but at least all Nigerians spent close to 7minutes with the immigration officers who were screening and asking for additional documents before allowing to pass. I even saw one emigration officer at the counter maybe calling the hotel where the Naija man booked, Guys they are becoming stricter by the day.. All other passport holders from different country was easy breeze even I with Naija passport was fast tho maybe because I travel a lot with the immigration officer seeing US visa, UK and Schengen visas. She didn't hesitate and stamped me in. Most of the Nigerians I saw had sparkling brand new passports and maybe first time travellers hence they were questioned.

The immigration officer told me not to loose my immigration card and make sure I register with the authorities when I am in so they can welcome me again easily when I apply to visit. She told me they will collect the immigration card and registration docket upon departure. Luckily my very nice Airbnb host did that for my wife and i just hours after I checked in the rented home and gave us the immigration card and our registration slip/docket.

Lastly, unfortunately won't be able to travel to volgograd to watch Nigerian match because of flight ticket price logistics and accommodation price in Volgograd hence I dashed out my wife and I tickets after learning it can't be resold on Fifa site since its late and close by.

Will be at Moscow all through and watch matches at the Fan Zones. went out yesterday night also with wifey to have a feel of the city centre and all we saw was whites everywhere, the blacks we saw was just 3 senegalese. Where are all the Nigerians??.... any show, Any get together in Moscow?

Goodnews!! for everybody taking the train from Moscow to Kaliningrad to see one of the games there.

Agreement has just been signed that you will enjoy visa free travel through Belarus because the train will go past Belarus to get to Kaliningrad...

visit the official WC portal to confirm this

Entry effective June 1st.

Enjoy your Trip and please lets represent Nigeria in all aspects in Russia. Altho our NFA have failed to release the Nigerian world jerseys in large numbers.. surprised to see it all sold out.

Then again pls lets don't abuse the privilege given of a visa free by overstaying and becoming a nuisance both in Russia or Belarus. please leave when your mission is accomplished.

If you don't know starting from this years World Cup. Fifa has made it mandatory that any country hosting Fifa World Cup must provide or be a Visa-free entry as part of "discrimination-free entry" law passed by Fifa just like the visa free opportunity we enjoying to Russia now. This a test and if passed, it will come to stay. it can only be Passed if we don't abuse the privilege. There is an upcoming world cup in 2022 in Qatar and also contesting for 2026 is a bid from Morocco and a joint bid by Mexico, Canada and USA for 2026. its obvious Mexico, Canada and USA will win this bid. so lets represent Nigeria well.

All the best guys. I will be flying in from South Africa to Russia on June 18th.

is 1.5 million naira okay for available balance in account statement for south African visa application?

1.5m might not be sufficient if you don't have good inflow and outflow records on the statement... inflow and outflow is more primary than what u have as the balance

Thanks Shineforth. I am not working and for my PhD, I am using NRF of 120k per annum. Please, do you think that might be considered in place of 8.5k rands per month?

OK great.. that will suffice if u can provide proof of funding and registration as a Phd student in your school.... pls use marriage certificate from registry (my 2cent)..all d best!!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you all for being here to assist. Please, I need your help.

I am a Nigerian currently studying at a South African university for my PhD. I plan to get married to a Nigerian lady (who is currently in nigeria) before the end of this year. I hold a south african study permit which expires in 2019. Please, specifically:

(i) minimum of how much should I have in my south african bank account to be able to apply for a spouse accompanying visa after I am married?

(ii) does the south african embassy in nigeria accept a church marriage certificate or it is compulsory we have a registry marriage certificate?

I would really appreciate your contributions.

Thanking you all.

hello,

from my own successful experience on this visa category..... I will advice u use a court marriage certificate( its the standard for most embassies) for Nigerians.... then you must earn at least R8500 monthly ... the amount on your statement doesn't really matter if its not below 10k rands and there must be sufficient inflow and outflow.. with your minimum salary of at least R8500 indicated on your statement monthly will suffice. All the best

@timex thanks for the response as well... is it not state nomination that will require u show proof of funds running into thousands of dollars as part of its requirements? .. am more oriented with subclass 189 but open to more alternatives so far its not required I prove I have thousands of dollars in my account.

and for the teaching AILTS requires I have band 7 for both reading and writing then 8 for both listening and speaking .. that's what they accept to get a + assessment from them... but if one can get a band 8 in all ..it more to ones advantage

60 points is d minimum points needed and that was the lowest point score for those invited to apply for subclass 189 in d latest invitation round

Tmex:
@ shineforth, I think your best shot is to opt for state nomination in order to increase your chances by 10 points, even at that i think your kind of profession (teaching i presume) requires that you have 20 points in the english test, except it has been changed recently. So i ll advice that you intensify your preparations for ielts "never say never", you can still make it.
