what about Duolingo can i learn with this app as well?

App is cool I use it but in my opinion u need to hear someone speak and illustrate for u to really understand the tenses, conjugation and gender bla...bla.... in the language. I tot i was getting it at home, until I attend Goethe then my eyes opened.. I think if you can register for a1/a2, at least learn the basics, you can now use internet to teach yourself the rest but YouTube is much better than duolingo that one won't get you anywhere is just a game.

Send them an email and ask them to confirm that there’s a booking with that passport number, Also tell them that you made a mistake with the email so you won’t be able to present the email on the date of the interview. So provide them with the correct email and ask them to rectify it.

My advice to everyone awaiting interview. Immediately you book an interview and receive a confirmation, send an email to info@lago.diplo.de and info@lago.auswaertiges-amt.de and ask them to confirm an interview for your selected date and time.

This will help you avoid stories that touch when you get to the embassy or consulate.

It may take days before they respond, but they will respond.

I beg to differ pls, they eventually do not reply sometimes, from 7th Dec 2017 - 5th Jan 2018 I sent about 5 emails to both addresses on different days hoping for a reply which I never got, until someone on this trend said it wasn't necessary n we should stop disturbing the embassy that ones u have booked properly with pp number n u receive confirmation mail ur good to go, then I relaxed and prepared for my interview. I got to the embassy on 17th Jan which was the day I booked and the embassy refused to confirm, I had my interview with no problem at all.

My advice, if u book and get confirmation email, pls print it relax and prepare for your interview. Pls also be very observant with you received mails, ones your appointment is cancelled for improper booking, or by mistake or for any other reason, they usually always send cancellation email.

Hallo People,
Some of us here were hit by the “no more visa interview” plague last year. I in particular had just got admission notifications only to realize I could no longer book for 2017 interview. No recommendation was made by the embassy to overcome the trauma of losing a full year of planning and resources. Most importantly I want to try again but I still haven’t found a solution because all the schools I saw on DAAD offering Meng/MSc in Civil Engineering areas in English give admission notification in August and expect enrollment by October 1st. They also don’t have option of deferring to summer even as they are all in the winter semester. This doesn’t fit the Visa processing time at all. It seems the embassy theory is not in par with school theory. Almost like it was designed for German and EU citizens alone.

Some of the gurus here may have critical information to help. Coz man don Dey old for here. @justwise, @negro1986 and co, if I no mention your name you sef Na guru no vex. Abeg I won finish masters before I marry. I suppose hammer early.

You can try something that's not really civil engineering but somehow related, check TUHH environment engineering

Biko where can one get this waec direct scratch card? I've moved round port Harcourt, even gone to the waec office, its just the one printed on white they have.

By the one printed on small white paper, tis wat I used and it was accepted I think that's the new waec card

I used the checklist on the German website as a guide. Just ensure you make 2 copies of the originals as stated there. Where original is not available except soft copy I. e admission letter, just Make 3 copies...... Use one as original and the rest as photocopies. For the motivation letter, prepare a handwritten one then make 2 photocopies. Also get 3 copies of CV.......use 1 as original and the remaining 2 as photocopies. Hope u copy what am saying

Pls The visa application form, should I also make it 3copies?

preparing for visa appointment, I am based in the east and might only be able to get to the embassy on the very morning of my appointment date. Can i buy prepaid courier envelope from DHL, nipost here in Imo?
Must I buy at the embassy? This is to avoid looking for where to buy it when i arrive at the embassy on the morning of my appointment.

i dont see anything wrong with that because am sure you will still need the health insurance in germany but i would have said check your school and know the type of insurance u need for enrolment and you can get that. This are just my thought

My admission letter says I can enrol either summer or winter 2018, within a given period of time for each and is valued for the whole year. Pls my question, can the embassy decide to delay my visa for summer knowing I can enrol by winter?

You do not need a format

Your sponsor needs to make an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde in his city.

They would give he/she a date to come in, as well as the required documents to bring along to verify that he/she is suitable to be your sponsor for your visa. It cost 25€

Once your sponsor has fulfilled all the necessary 7requirement, he would be issued a document, which is the sponsorship letter, duly stamped (that is the sponsorship letter). He needs to send the copy to you as the embassy needs to see the original format. You can ask that he/she scans it before sending it via courier, as you would need it as part of the documents for your visa interview.

All what your sponsor needs from you is your full name (as it appears on your passport) date of birth and your address here in Nigeria (for the courier)

My sponsor wants to get me 3months health insurance from Germany n send along with my letter. Pls Does embassy accept insurance from Germany for student visa applicants?

The GCE is not the same as our own O-level gce. The Gce they are referring to is THE 'European svstem GCE' which is an A-level (Advanced level) certificate, and is different from our O-level (Ordinary level) waec and Gce certificates..

Ok

Hi,
I think you should ask them (i mean the sch) for clarifications. you can also let them know that since you have your WAEC you didnt write GCE as one substitute the other here in Nigeria.

I have asked them since last night I got their mail, no reply yet. Hopefully by Monday I will get a reply

Yes you can do that. But you should pre-inform them. By the way, hope your school doesnt have this no-communication policy during the application period?

Ok thanks, I really hope they do communicate

Are you applying for Bsc or Msc? The reason i ask is If its msc, then you must have graduated from a previous uni here in Nigeria. If so, you can send your 100 level transcript. It is generally regarded as an equivalent of an A-level certificate.

Am applying for MSc and my transcript was part of the documents I sent. Do you think I should resend my transcript but just the 100Level? Thank you very much
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Shirbrown(f): 8:07am On Nov 25, 2017
Pls I need help asap, after receiving my documents via post, Karlsruhe uni sent me an email saying I should further send GCE-advance level which wasn't part of the initial requirements and I do not have it. Pls what do I do, what else can I use as a'level certificate instead of GCE??
