Some comments there do not add up. The book will be a good read, if true. |
Krasid:If I read well, you said 'He should win SOMETHING for his country'..and except it has changed, Olympic football Gold medal is usually acclaimed as next to the World Cup Trophy |

I totally agree. But it's same during OBJ govt. We had growth, driven by increased oil prices. Same with current administration. As a matter of fact, increase foreign reserves from increasing oil prices are been used to subsidise dollar purchases for consumption vis a vis Foreign education, foreign travels, foreign medical etc.. With even more Naira available due to currency devaluation, increased oil earnings are just flowing to all tiers of govt |
Well, it doesn't connote Ability to Govern well. But yet, it should be at least a criteria for leadership of a country in this global world |
So this news is for Ghana?? |
Hygeia is quite responsive. And have large number of hospitals available to choose from. AXA Mansard also offers reliable HMO services. We use both |

So how was Dr Ngozi Okonjo as minister in two occasions able to tower above the Cbn governor with two different administrations? |
Yawns.. you didn't get liver to say ' Obj' instead of 'pdp'? And you left to float your own Party and now you have joined 'APC' which Obj helped to bring to power |
A search on Google about them bring lots of negative comments. Loads of complaints. |
It depends entirely on your employment letter. What is stated under resignation/Termination? If none, then you are a free bird. If however they require you to provide one month notice or pay 'in lieu', then you can request new employer if you can resume in April or you pay your current employer 1-month salary |
Please what is a foreign reserve? To also make it simple for you, Our dear ISTANDWITHBUHARI, I'm sure you went through the budget that breaks down how Nigeria money(oil sales is major) will be spent. Please show me the page where you saw how Cbn will use these for Meeting forex demand? |
Truth234:I really don't see the relationship you trying to enlighten us between the budget & defence of Naira with balance on the reserves. I indicated the defence of the Naira will slow down the growth of our reserves. I still maintain that our Naira is been defended by our foreign reserves & Cbn intervention is from this. |
I think CBN should have waited till Reserves are up to 36/38 Billion USD before they struck. Unmet demand is at least 2bn USD. Within one week, Cbn brought out 530 million USD from Reserves to defend the currency. More or less subsidising foreign Travels & foreign education. And some 'Forwards'. And you see, the banks were not even liquid enough to take all that the Cbn offered. Last week, most people did panicked sales. Now, demand is picking up. Where you have 2bn USD demand & 530m USD supply, what happens? |
All I read are insults. No facts stated. Reno says the $49b still stated by Amaechi had been modified and 'reduced' by SLS.. |
I read the Interview in Today's Guardian and kept laughing. I understood during the last Presidential campaigns then that it was political hullabaloo. But stating this propaganda figures again is just a great sign of ineptitude by Rt Hon. Amaechi. He even added figures of both the Reserves & Excess Crude Account figures saying the amounts would have been used for transport development. The same ECA that he led other Governors to share while he was Governor? |
@ Stagger, I'm 100 percent with you. Surely we all want the Naira to be strengthened, but the fundamentals do not yet support it. We need the reserves to be at least provide cover for 6-months imports. We don't have that yet. This week Cbn more or less intervened with 600m USD(inc the forwards obligations). That's a lot on the reserves in 1-week. And of course, we have been here before! |
