Pearl1910: The way he was relaxed with the man, I will not be surprised if the man has his BVN Those guys are very good. You can not imagine extent they can go. They always appear big and some use thick voice like big brother Naijja voice or different fake accent, just to cajole desperate drivers. The truth is, your helper will never stress you. We've heard series of testimonies in the past here, they were simple conversation that comes with great help. Not all these broken reed riders that build castles in the air. They will request for offline trips but not ready to pay for your time and the conveniences you will provide them. The bottom line is, always NEGOTIATE without been greedy and the good ones will add the tip you are expecting. |

GeneralZodd: Here comes the Bolt PR doing his job as usual. 😁 The truth is if there is no surge, most times Indriver fare is better than bolt fare whether there is traffic or the distance is long I was just smiling and waiting for his reply on Barby response which is expected. Uche, Bolt , Pearl never disappoint . Like Pope have said the other day. Try and have both apps active, no loyalty in ehailing. KNOW WHEN TO SWITCH BETWEEN BOLT AND INDRIVE. Bolt have a way of pegging/fixing fare prices and some drivers won't still know. Indriver on the other hand, have some slavers riders. |

DECEMBER 31st IS NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT TARGET DAY!! Is just a normal day to thank God for. If we couldn't achieve our target for 2023 as planned, we can achieve them by March 2024. Don't allow general mental pressure of end of year pushed you beyond your limit. If you couldn't meet up since January till December, don't go beyond your limit trying to meet up in few weeks. The way guys are driving and speeding lately is concerning. Let us limit our speed. Accident on the roads is alarming. Accident that you can't even try to do simple analysis of how it happened. May God keep us all, especially this ehailing jamboree period |

Pearl1910: All these story of fixed price, I don't experience it o. I think what will settle the matter is for everyone to learn how to calculate the fare for themselves. I do this all the time and if my money is not complete (even if it is short of N200) I will message Bolt Support. There is no way traffic will not add to the fare, it's just that I think we expect it to be very big, but a 1hr delay will only increase your fare by N1,500 (60mins X N25) Waiting time is N35/min. if the rider has a stop or delays to come out, this one really impacts the fare noticeably. Also, Bolt estimate is more accurate now unlike before that they trick riders with low estimate but u see something big at the end of the trip. All the expected traffic time has been calculated into your fare, so dont be surprised when u end trip and it's still within the estimate.
What u should do is pull out your calculator and calculate ur trip distance and time if your fare is complete before u raise alarm You may be right. Because after driving for 3hours with 2hrs traffic and 30 minutes wait time, expectations must have been tampered with or high. Unfortunately, I personally don't know the present bolt fare calculations I just drive and collect money , as so some drivers here base fare, wait time, per minute and stuff. I just use old pricing and what I read from here. I know bolt Uche Pearl won't agree to some abrakadabra by bolt until he sees evidence. If you or anyone can state all the current bolt fare calculations, we can start from there. So many driver won't continue to feel cheated or frustrated after trips. |

Those people parked there may be military, government/politicians, airport staff etc. If u follow dem and do what they are doing when there is a clear Sign there saying otherwise, then be ready to identify yourself as "Espre de Corps" when enforcement comes for u. Those airport staff guys are so terrible and frustrated that they will even use random private car, parked at this point and pretend to any unsuspecting private car to park beside them and in a twinkle of an eye, your wheel is... Otilo... Infact, if you are pressed around anything Nigeria airport, better pee on your pant and go clean up than park on the road to quickly pee. Nothing like "quickly" on airport road. |

Fibel: It’s been a long time off here but I will say this , a lot of people do not actually realize that this thread offers a pool of lessons (amidst the whole fights and cruise catching) for anyone who wants to grow.
Nobody owes you a direct explanation on how they migrated to a better country. If you are literate and you are expecting to be spoon-fed on how to travel then your education should be in doubt . There are a million and one resources out there on the internet but you choose to use your time blaming or shaming one who did his research and is in a better country. Use the internet , there are several pathways to migrate to better countries using this route especially for tech related people. Also its absurd hearing the accusation that Bazoo was being bankrolled because he got a job and was providing value under Diezani. This is akin to accusing a banker of being complicit because the Bank manager stole funds in the bank.
I remember when I drove on the platform , I realized that this was not my path and I set my mind to quitting before hitting the 1 year mark . I took resources off the internet , learnt some new skills and I left the platform before hitting 6 months on this platform. I believe I left a post a long time ago on how I moved on from the platform. Some people would choose to criticize while some will learn from it and grow . It was a personal decision and I am better for it . I have declined offers to move to Middle East countries from companies because I have my sights on a different country and I know it will come one day .
Again, this post is not for everyone. Some are ok driving for a living while some will eventually skill up and move on to other things . But one thing should constantly be in the mind of every sane person out there and that is growth. And also people are different , the diverse nature of people in a society’s social strata is what makes life interesting. Nobody should be chided because he chooses to have a different way of expression.
Learn or perish. Succinct! Divers People like 1. BAZ001 who postulated theory of Inconsistency in ehailing earnings.(Japa as Solution). 2. Pearl who postulated theory of possibility of ehailing fleets(10 cars in 3years through consistency) etc... Bolt ambassador. 3. Felicity001 who postulated theory of ehailing Hoodllumism/ Mercedes Benz for ehailing etc 4. Pope101 who postulated theory of vast knowledge of ehailing apps/Lagos routes.... (bia Pope, I don't even know your main theory ) 5. Cheerfulgiver who postulated theory of DAILY fat earnings is attainable. 6. Gentlelife50/Yeygbemi who postulated theory of ehailing drop meme, banter small and disappear. 7. Conner44 who postulated theory of ehailing from office (he refused to pee on his boss head). 8. Izzou/Tojah who postulated theory of ehailing experience sharing/ehailing DSS. 9. Dru who postulated theory of Civic 03-05/imported engine oil/work hard play later 10. Radautoworks who postulated theory of original spare parts for ehailing cars. 11. Blackbishop who postulated theory of intermediary of drivers and owners car repairs. 9. northbrid/IFSHR who postulated theory of selective ehialling experience sharing contribution. 10. Glitorinx who postulated theory of new bee earning millions monthly( Indrver Ambassador). 11. Generalzod who postulated theory of simultaneous ehailing and dollars storage. 12. Some others I can't mention names who postulated theory of cruise, banter, dragging ijogbon 13. Silent readers 1: who postulated theory of ounce in a blue moon ehailing tips sharing 14.. Silent readers2: who postulated theory of behind the scenes but appears on giveaway period Others who postulated.... These diversities is what makes the thread interesting.

pope191: Cool! Maybe you didn’t get the picture well and my question inbetween. I carried them to the hospital out of thinking it may be an emergency. Getting to the hospital, it is no longer an emergency, but decision. I have family and aged people. So I won’t leave them or anyone in bad state. Family or not, I don’t place life over life as we are all human. I don’t believe in saying things that I have done, but if it is a person with disability, I always help till I get them to point of comfort, I may take whatever they give me in form of money, even if it is not worth the actual trip price. Anyone that has been thro this will tell you mostly they don’t pay the actual price, but understanding and human should be the key.
If I am not mistaken this people don’t have money issue as presumed. Even the woman make it clear that she have siblings scatter everywhere and they can decide to charter me for the whole day (sorry ma, I don’t do such service). It may end up being a process of using Uber for everything and it comes cheap. The mans health does not start that morning and it wasn’t anything close to emergency. Hospitals should have ambulance at get go and bed space. We live in a failed society where we try to rest our inability on people conscience. If the man should d*e in the car? Obviously I am going offline for like 2 weeks at most, I know my kind of person. Am I ready for someone to d*e in the car? No. Charge them? Can’t put money on life. Police report? Death is not as picture, if you ask me. They may not want to take him home. From there to mortuary, to one unforeseen place or another. Boss I am not that strong. If this man should pass today(God forbid) aso ebi will go round, people will flew in from different places, event center will take million. I don’t think Uber drivers should be the one dealing with health related issues, except in a case of absolute emergency.
Thanks I think I just get more of your point now. Yes I agree to this. |

Pearl1910: Pope, like they say, it's different strokes for different folks. Our mood might also influence our decisions per time.. It's not cast in stone.
Asking them to get an ambulance in a time of emergency is wasting precious time. Since they aren't coming from the hospital per say and moreover client might not be bouyant enough to hire one. If ur fear is that (God forbid), the patient dies in ur car, u have done nothing bad either, nobody will hold u or ask u to write police report. U have tried ur best. But if the man didn't make it because they couldn't get to d hospital ontime, u will not be happy with yourself. Just for a moment imagine it's ur family member and u have a car, will u say they should get ambulance? Like I said earlier, your decision isn't bad, it's ur choice, but in going about our business let's not forget about humanity.
Not ones not twice, I have been in this situation, and my day ended because even my mental health and moral will just go low. Life is fragile. I have carried accident victims from d highway and drove 140km/hr top speed risk my own life for over 100km distance looking for hospital that will admit them. When I was still in school, I carried a guy that fell off a pickup truck during SUG campaign to the hospital...omo the smell of blood didn't leave my car for months...I used jik, hypo, kleen for where, d blood was much but what can I do I will still help. I know we can all do this, because of human sympathy and we will do it for free. So why not at the least even charge them if necessary and let the life be saved first before we think of car being messed up or time wasted. That's my take sha. You are on point Pearl. Is a function of our mood/State of mind/present situation. I took them to that general hospital, Ishaga. No bed space, they couldn't afford ambulance. Infact, their situation outweighs mine at that point in time. Eventually I left the hospital at exactly 1:20am.And such can happen to anyone. And if I have left at that point, I don't think is bad, depending on my situation too. A driver can be in serious mess at that point in time too. But, we can only try to do these things. Two aged men have peed on my chair , I couldn't work for the weekend. I urge us to try do these things because hmmm.. some are simultaneously battling serious health issues and financial issues. Imagine a driver in serious mess right now, reading this... He will be like, you guys dunno anitin |

E shock u! Now you see why I refused to apologize the other day. Truth is gradually replacing ego massage. Can’t even remember the last time experience was shared. You wonder why folks like Northbird and Barbit play on the low? Muscled.
This month, surulere was on the lock around 5, they were working on the bridge. Normally information was supposed to fly on that, on Sunday evening container fell from otedola bridge, the whole place was on lock down. Nothing! Nothing!!
E come be like everybody deh look each other like suspect, who’s the next to be hit. But in reality we have nothing to lose making each other happy, all we need is self respect and to respect each other to some tolerable extent. Anyway, I apologize on everyone behalf. You accept ? Most times, google map would have done justice to this aspect of movement. I don't think is intentional by drivers. But I can understand the aspect of sharing security update on the road which many still do here. However, I understand your valid point, many of us are guilty of this. Sharing experience by some have lead to castigation instead of respect of opinion, we rather banter than contribute.Though, the thread may seem derailed, but you will agree that, inspite of that, issues that seems derailed leads to more interesting experience sharing. We will all be alright anyhow. Please, don't apologize to BAZ001, we must nailed him on this thread . |
