The ac on this car was changed from auto to manual according to its previous owner so please is there any disadvantage to note about this change and whats entailed in changing the ac completely

Driver side signal repeater should be 12k max.
There is no disadvantage using the " manual" compressor...it's more solid than the automatic.
Misfires can be a lot of things...plugs, coils, nozzles, airmass.

Very good question, we need more topics like this.
