As much as civil suits in Sharia courts are always between Muslims , that is to tell you that the main parties in this case are both Muslims.

Also note that in any of the Sharia courts in the north , irrespective of your religious creed , the state can decide on their own descretion , depending on the offense to arraign one before a Sharia court instead of a State High court.

If you attempt to transport liquor to any sharia state that has alcohol on their prohibition list , you won't be arraigned in their State High Court but sent to a Sharia court.

If a thief is caught be it a Muslim or christian , that thief can be sent to a Sharia court and have his or hand amputated.

If you willfully committed adultery, the Hisbah will take you to sharia court and not a state High Court.
