Bro, it seems you are permanently stationed to the southern part of Nigeria...

Even on kubwa express way and airport road(both in Abuja) you can run 170kmh conveniently at night but not for a long stretch especially on the latter.

Now to far north, Jigawa, Gombe, Bauchi, Kano,Yobe and so on that I have been to, there are quite some good roads you can run at 200kmh easily for a long stretch, that you might even have to caution yourself....

For your information, civic is more fuel economical, the parts are also available like corolla and it is also very rugged....

Best bet is to change and replace all the vital components :
compressor, condenser, expansion valve , the evaporator with the whole system trippled flushed thoroughly with good flushing sokvent before installing the new component cos any leftover debris can crush the new components installed
Moreso ,after installation of the new components, dont forget to vacuum the system as well and check for leaks before introducing the refrigerant if you really want ac system that can stand the test of time .Engage a good ac professional with modern tools to handles this for you as anything short of manufacturer recommended ac instalation process can result going back to its initial problem status .

Please can you recommend a good AC technician in Abuja? Wouldn't mind meeting the person tomorrow morning...

Like you right said, we often don't get them in it's pristine order, thats one point another is most of the car owners don't know the right tech & trick & that is a violation that can bankrupt a nation right there, let me hit you up parts wise, Toyota camry 2006 ignition coils cost betw 6 to 7k per, to get four of them 28 or 24k is down, jetta 2006 cost between 9 to 10k

Toyota camry drive shaft cost 60 to 75k for both sides, jetta cost 20k for both sides if you want it as knock off, you will get it at 10 to 12k for both sides,

Worn out rate of Toyota parts on a scale lik f 1 to 10 in 12 months is 7 to 8 out of 10

Vw rate is 1 or 0 for mechanical parts

Like i previously said, Toyota is built without Durability in mind, Japan is China's colonial master, meaning all Chinese are doing are learn from Japan if you know what that means.

Yes you can use vw for transport due to it Durability.. but if you are to use Toyota just keep your atm with you & monitor how much goes in for fix & services in a year.

So while still waiting for that riches that make one use those nice German machines conveniently, we will be maintaining these Japanese products.

A lot of people love them German machine but getting the right technicians to fix it is a big problem, not forgetting that we are a majority poor nation and cars most times are not acquired for the aesthetics then, going for what is easily affordable and maintainable becomes the priority...

I have always love BMW but due to reasons best known to man, one has to go for easy maintenance... Mind you, majority of us use our cars for taxi services where pocket is dry, most German machines hardly falls in such category, so, in a nutshell, na condition make crayfish bend....


No one in his right mind will compare German machines with Japanese, India, France or Nigeria coupled vehicles....

What's wrong with your car ac?

My compressor was serviced in November ( later heard from another person that there is no need to service the compressor), gas filled and cabin filter changed but still the AC system isn't performing well, went back to the technician two days after, he diagnosed and he saw dirts pumping out of the hose, he said we are going to change the compressor, condenser and most likely dryer.

Before then, two different people have blocked acclaimed leakages in the hose and filled the gas but it just works for few days and that's all.... My car is honda civic 06.


Which way forward?
