You guys are obsessed with regurgitating what Awolowo and his media company fed to you that Ikweerre is not Igbo and more than happy lamenting all these with Yoruba people instead of really taking an action. The world knows that Igbo land can never resemble any slum like in the Niger Delta if the oil fields in Rivers were to be located in Anambra. Even the so called Ndi Hausa dey Thank God everyday that they have succeeded in sewing into your brains that you are not pure Igbo blood, that the Igbos want to take over your oilfield blah blah blah. Keep complaining until you realise that you and your lots have no stake in Eko Atlantic city even though your oyel money is being pumped into it every month.
Keep wailing Bro. Una dick dey stand once you hear Igbos

idahme:

Omo na express road u dey enter oooo, south south has how many ports ? One in Delta, two in Port Harcourt, one in Calabar and all south south stated have boundary with the Atlantic do you know what that means?

I'm addition, south south has abundance of oil assets. Imagine the crude oil money shared by everyone to only belong to the south south region? Just imagine. I can tell you for sure south south has nothing against it for it to stand toe to toe with any striving nation of the world, it is located strategically along a major sea route which will position it for global trade.

What does the south west have that the south south doesn't have? Don't forget the southwest you are bragging about is just Lagos state which has had plethora of wealth lifted from the Niger Delta region into its building by virtue of it been the capital of the Federation. What else are you bragging about? Lagos was built by the resources from my region and other regions and including the south west region resources but my region is solely built by our the little peanut given to us from the large chunk we produce.

Make bold to mention your state and let's do comparison with mine. Be claiming Lagos when you are from ado ekiti, ungrateful lot that want to fight the fingers that fed them.
Politics / Re: QatarEnergy Not Drawn To Nigeria Despite Tinubu Visit by shugamummy: 9:01pm On May 02
The entire corporate headquarters of oil and gas companies, banks, conglomerates, FCMG, Brewery, construction firms, Fintech were all located in Lagos including Government parastatals,Airport, Seaport, Major Hotels, Landmark Beaches, club houses, entertainment industry were all paying taxes to Lagos.

Name just one that's equivalent to the above in Anambra and win ₦1millon instantly.

Sonyboom:
Your foolishness must be divine. How much was revenue accruing to Lagos when Tinubu was governor compare to what Anambra was receiving ?!

I understand your bigoted delusional will blame Tinubu for having innovative way to sore up income to undertake his desired ambition for Lagos while the Pandora clown was not even able to met up with what his predecessor generated.

No wonder the fools was unable to build a single school in 8 years.

That reminds me, seems the Ronubandits that were threatening voters and announcing that people should either vote APC or risk their lives, are enjoying the dividends of their efforts. They are not affected by the leaving or shutting down of manufacturing firms

AOB1:
Look at you, did you think the outcome of the last presidential election is the will of yoruba people, have you ever asked yourself how we are going to escape from this old politicians, you think it's only yoruba people that are biased, can you explain to me what is going on in Imo state? Did Insodinma suppose win second term? You think it's only yoruba people that biased but you forgot that Nigerians have been affected by Stockholm syndrome.
Back to the presidential election, let me tell you one simple truth Peter Obi can never fight and win those old politicians, all of them knew what they were doing, can't you see that the politicians are playing the citizens like games, they take us for fools, just look at the atrocities they were committing everyday without thinking of their citizens. We can never recover this country back from them except the youth are ready. But right now Nigeria youth are lazy and Cowards they lack fighting spirits, forget social media it won't help us except the youth come out and take their country back, did you think the youth is ready to come out and fight for their right? The answer is NO.

Buhari made promise to hand over to Tinubu that's why Tinubu made that statement (Emilokan) and I want you to believe that Tinubu have already made the same promise to another person. The youths can only end this by contesting for all the political offices in Nigeria but without that nothing will ever change.

If you are a youth go and contest for an election it is your right, reclaim your country back from old fools and if you are not a youth start encouraging youth in your area to go into politics because that's the only solution. Cheers

Good news for Ronubandits. They were warned but they refused. Even in Buhari era, they were managing to stay afloat. Now all hell are let loose. No single confidence in the drug Lord at Aso rock.

It will slightly take you some years to discover that APC and Tinubu is a curse to you and your generation. He is a drug dealer. He doesn't care about you. Apart from using you and your lots to sustain his drug dealing business and his legacy of installing your leaders and controlling Lagos treasury, you have no stake in deciding your future. I only blame Niger Delta for allowing Nigeria to joke with the future of their children

Oga with pussy odour. What he is saying is that you need to go build $23billion dollar worth of business in Igbo land to talk about reciprocating. You only reciprocate hatred among yourselves and not against any one from the East. Mention one Yoruba business man in Onitsha, I think you can count millions of business men giving your people food everyday in your Yoruba, including this one

We have moved from bad, we are now in the worst stage. Tinubu and APC has destroyed your Nigeria at least for the next 50yrs unless you violently pursue them. 3.8trillion is already printed in 6 months. Do you know what that means for you and I?

You see where your mumu starts. Mind you, you be charged based on the prevailing exchange rate with his home country which won't be funny with the Naira.

Igbos fortune is not tied to Nigeria. If Nigeria (Lagos) collapse today, Igbos will migrate to Cotonou and purchase lands and properties and setup their businesses there. We don't wait for Federal Government FAAC, we make things happen every day for our selves in business.

1. You are asking who is pulling the country down? You don't see them evwrywhere all around you? Always angry when we make progress, always delighted when bad things happen. Stop it. You know them.

2. Which region do I despise? If at all I have a region I don't admire, it is the North West because they are violent, intolerant and unproductive.

3. You don't have to believe in one Nigeria. But for now, while our fortunes are tied together, why wish ourselves bad?

Who will buy from local businesses? Those with purchasing power or not. What they saw is so many Nigerians no possess spare capital to purchase anything apart from food. Your Tilumbu has impoverished the vast majority

santaclaws:
They can leave. Their main reason is reduced sales according to them and Nigeria is just leaving a recession, coupled with our fight against inflation. They're not the only ones who experienced a plunge in sales, a lot of Nigerians were forced to cut down on their expenditure and it affected businesses.

This is why the govt must support indigenous businesses cos all these foreign businesses have no real stake in the country. Once they can't maximise profit, they jet out. Only local businesses can bear with the country through hard times, just like BUA cement & Air Peace...

I am telling you that the so called Engineers have nothing to Engineer, banks have no money to bank apart from politicians and people don't go visiting doctors when they are sick anymore due to price or Augumentin rising to 52k. There is no one in the civil servant whose take home is 60k or below that does not owe the next food vendor in the neighbourhood. Get the message, the people are so poor that they can only hope to feed from the crumbs shared by politicians every election cycle. How many people in your neighbourhood have paid their house rent and electricity bill in the past 3 years peacefully and on time?

HBB1:

Doctors, Bankers, Engineers, mid-level civil servants...are middle class.

About mortgages, if you an afford rent, you can afford your mortgage payments.
You only need to save towards your deposit.

This scheme (for starters) is made for civil servants, which is admirable.

Or what do you suggest?
People should start building their houses in their 50s or 60s?
Do you know what the life expectancy in Nigeria is?

Please make it make sense naw
Politics / Re: President Tinubu Approves Takeoff Of Consumer Credit Scheme by shugamummy: 12:25pm On Apr 26
What I am literally saying is that the jobs you used to classify as middle class in the 90s have literally disappeared. Unless you are a politician, yahoo boy, or drug Lord. How many persons means of livelihood currently depends on monthly salary. If you cite America at least cite their minimum wage and compare and contrast. Even avergae Bank workers can't afford to build a 3 bedroom bungalow in this country with with with their salary. Let's admit that things have literally gone from bad to worse so we can stop digging more holes while inside the pit

HBB1:

Nobody if forcing you oga.

If you don't want it, then don't take it.

Only a very uninformed person will despise credit.
Europe and America run on it.

Your alternative is to hustle to build a house for 30 years and hope to God you don't die soon after moving into it.
Politics / Re: President Tinubu Approves Takeoff Of Consumer Credit Scheme by shugamummy: 8:42pm On Apr 25
Thank you for educating me. Please I heard you mentioned middle class, also educate me which class of jobs exist today in the present Nigeria that you classified as middle class. How many persons go home every month with a salary that's more than the price of a bag of rice? How many of them can afford to buy foodstuffs, and feed comfortably without borrowing till month end? And and at same time have 45k left to pay for mortgage every other 4 weeks? Are we being insensitive to people's plights or what?

HBB1:

Well to start with, nobody is forcing you.

Also mortgage payments are done iver 30-35 years, so that is a long time.
So people pay money they would have paid towards rent as mortgage instead.

You need a steady income to enjoy this.
If you default, it affects your credit score and the bank can also reclaim the property.

About the job you need to do to enjoy this?
Anybody in the middle class should be able to.

Oh my goodness, why should a youth like you be concerned about what good a politician have done. I have not even mentioned any state, I have not tried to claim victories for any governor or politician. I am talking about full time freedom. I am not concerned about financial freedom for very few which you are classifying as politicians. I am talking about creating millions of millions of millionaires who don't need any politician to live in affluence in their own way. By the way, the politicians need the poor to remain poor so they don't get so much financial freedom that they begin to contend power with them. Exactly, what Tilumbu is doing in Lagos.

Yeah, I was looking for this type of comment. Now your slavemaster has asked you to eat upfront. That is, don't earn to consume today, rather consume today and earn tomorrow to pay back what you have consumed yesterday? What if tomorrow your papa becomes sick and you need to also consume and still send him to hospital while trying to pay back what you have consumed yesterday, isn't that bankruptcy? You will be faced with defaulting but when you remember your papa and remember your stomach, the choice becomes heavy. Why not urge Tilumbu to give you the capacity to earn today so you can consume both today and tomorrow?

Do you know why they store the food that can last for 50yrs. It's mostly if there is a natural disaster including war. Ohh, I forgot it's even a natural disaster that you are alive and healthy and couldn't free yourself from the slavery of receiving food from food banks from those who actually put you in that state. That's one difference between an Igbo boy and a Yoruba slave. A Yoruba slave believes in getting crumbs from his slavemasters so hunger won't kpai him now and so he can be happy for few minutes. An Igbo boy believes in going hungry for 10 years and stay happy and live in affluence forever. Between these two, which one are you?

Wake up from your slumber Mister.
Nobody cleared any $7bn. Firms were asked to exit their position at a certain rate or forget it. Some took it thereby incurring losses. The government rushed to announce they have cleared whatever. How does the news endear foreign investors? What FDI has the country received since then. It's like you belong to the cadre of people who swallows everything from the government source.

femisplash:
By a stroke of genius, the President had ordered the CBN be in charge of receipts of oil revenues, a departure from decade-long misappropriation of crude oil sales. It therefore enhances CBN's ability to stabilize the currency. The insinuation that CBN borrows to sell to banks and BDCs should be disregarded.

2. Clearing of $7billion backlog has done the economy so much good. Investors no longer have the fear of their funds being trapped.

3. Oil production is on a steady increase. Although, a component volume of it had been sold in the future, however, the significant increase in production is offsetting the shortfalls. Moreover, oil price is up.

4. The market is gaining back investors' confidence. Following MPC meeting in January, investors reacted positively, total foreign portforlio recorded $2.3billion in febuary, purchases of naira assets stood at $1billion, oversea remitances went up greatly, FG bonds was oversubscribed, all these helped create more liquidity and increases market supply.
