presidential candidates talk about policies and reforms. They talk about laws, measures that will boost GDP i.e tax, foreign direct investments, negotiations. Where we are missing out on incentives. How we can reduce import. They don't talk about exporting cannabis. It is the entrepreneurs that will plant cannabis, thats not FG's problem. Should cannabis be legalised, FG will only make money from duties. FG cannot claim the cannabis. Can FG claim the cocoa you plant as theirs? You choose to or not to plant. This is not for sowore to talk. Cannabis is burnt because it's illegal in Nigeria. Sowore lacks indepth knowledge and experience as it concerns governance.

e be like you don dey plant weed. Exportation of weed is not viable as the market demand is weak. The Northern Americans investing in is plantation are using it to produce products we consume. Nigeria’s crude is sweet, there is a demand for sweet crude. There is a strong demand for chocolate making cocoa profitable. I can’t think of any strong demand for weed now

not really,, I just like the idea,, u won’t know the demand for weed cause it’s illegal n u don’t hv friends that smoke who travel n return!! I know a lot of my friends who say in America that comes to Nigerian every three months cause of weed!!! FYI I don’t even take drugs talking of planting it!

the reason we are poor is because we think about the now now now. Eat it all now. We don’t have long term thinking. What has happened to oil. Same way we ate all the money from oil “now” and couldn’t invest. Can’t we create technology like other nations. What is the market worth of emerging technologies and what is that of weed. If it will take 15 years to do anything meaningful with technology, why not invest now. You don’t know what the future holds. When China started investing in technology, there was nothing like smart phones but as technology evolved, they were able to compete because they invested already and that’s why they can “borrow” Nigeria money... the youth that went into yahoo, what is stopping them from innovating and doing. well if he lays down hard facts on how he will regulate weed mainly for exportation then maybe ppl will listen. But nigeria is a country were laws are not enforced and were ppl flout laws on a regular basis. Weed is a drug and if produced in a high proportion in a country like nigeria were things are not easily regulated will lead to the occurence of more weed addicts. The high rate of addicts will lead to a much higher violent crime rate.look at the small sales of weed in nigeria and see the devastating effects its already having on youths already.If Sowore should increase production without properly regulating it then will we have a huge number of violent crime prone weed addicts in nigeria.

i say this unapologetically that before Nigeria will really do anything technology worth exporting would take at least 15 years or more especially now most Nigerian youth hv gone into yahoo!! So it’s even unrealistic to say that,, weed is a natural resource!! If we choose not to export weed we will still import technology n loose out from the fund that comes from exporting weed!!
