If truly you agree that praying to Mary as sanctioned by the Bible is appropriate, I wonder why you suddenly have issues with making a statue of the person to whom prayers are directed to. Note that the key word here is honour, not worship. We honour our parents as commanded by the Bible, but we don't worship them. So it is with Catholics and Mary. If you remember Jesus' first miracle at a wedding in Cana, then you will appreciate the immense intercessory powers of Mary.This is what millions of billions Catholics all over the world benefits from.

Honestly, no church denomination is perfect, and every denomination is basically its own religion at this point. that is why religion itself is a cancer. Jesus Christ is above religion. Today we have churches that the Holy Spirit hasn't even been in since 1998. Just people going through the motions and entertaining or carrying out man-made traditions.

It is also unfortunate that pentecostal church has now been thought to mean prosperity church.
The prosperity church should honestly be another denomination on it's own as much of it was spawned by a subtle greed that grew into an idolization of material success.

The catholic church? It evidently has an issue with idols period. Whoever discounts this is just defending culture/tradition, not scripture. God was firm when he expressed He doesn't want idols made of Him or anything in heaven. You don't know what he looks like, neither do you know what Mary looks like...but you just do all that because that's what your church leaders tell you to do...in stalwart defiance of what God dictated. As a christian, your paramount concern is not religion...but your personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit will tell you where you need to go when you detach your soul from [b]religionism and yield only to His instruction.
Those who rely on "church crowd", "My pastor/pope says so", etc in these last days will be gravely disappointed when what's coming hits us.
Jesus himself warned of this.

They are many people in the catholic church who wil make heaven compared to those in the anglican/pentecostal. Christainity is wat u make out of it. My family church is methodist and gradually entered into pentecostalism.my husband is catholic, i didnt have problems with that, some of d doctrines in methodist church are similar to catholic church.my mums family church is catholic and she advised me to stick to my husbands church and get myself attached to the charismatic arm of the church, catholic biblical instructors etc. Yes, most catnolic churches have these organisations right in the church premises. She can join those arms of the church, yet strengthen her faith in her beliefs.
We are all worshipping or serving one and same GOD. A place of worship shld not be the bone of contention when raising a home. My thoughts though

I even stopped talking or texting her for some couple of days now but today she texted me saying that "I should do this one thing for her by leaving my church" and even said it to my face that I should not propose to her when the time comes cos she will say no because of this.

Am just confused, what shall I do? I need help

So many ladies love statutory marriage (court wedding) because of it stringent dissolution procedures. But unknown to them, the MARRIAGE ACT [/b]and [b]MATRIMONIAL CAUSES ACT [/b]are double edge swords that can favour any of the spouse in case of divorce.

I did court wedding with my wife also and she felt that she has ‘won’ though I don’t know what she won. My wife is a staunch catholic woman and I’m Pentecostal guy. Recently I told her to start attending my church and leave catholic. She said “I can’t”. so I told her that I will send her out of my house and she retorted [b]“THE MARRIAGE ACT MADE IT MANDATORY FOR US TO LIVE TOGETHER FOR THREE YEARS”

I laughed and decided to educate her about the position of the law. According to section 40 of the MARRIAGE ACT: “Whoever in any affidavit, declaration, certificate, license, document, or statement by law to be made or issued for the purposes of a marriage, declares, enters, certifies or states any material matter which is false, shall, if he does so without having taken reasonable means to ascertain the truth or falsity of such matter, be liable to imprisonment for one year, or shall, if he does so knowing that such matter is false, be liable to imprisonment for five years.”

By this provision, when you know your REAL AGE and decided to tell FALSE AGE in order to contract marriage, you are liable to five years imprisonment. Unfortunately for my beloved wife, her age on the wedding certificate is not her real age and I have a lot of evidence to proved that because her age on her national and Voters ID cards are different from the one on marriage certificate.

Secondary, section 3, subsection one, of the MATRIMONIAL CAUSES ACT (2004) state thus:

So, by provision of paragraph D (i), lying about age is termed as “fraud” and your consent was gotten through fraud. Therefore, the court marriage is void abinitio. After I intimated my wife, she sought legal counsel from a legal professional who validated my submission. Since them, MY WIFE became cool and behaving nice. I never plan to divorce my wife or send her away, I just intimidated her so that she can cool down. The court wedding got into her head because she was the first person to do court wedding in her family. Don’t let any lady come and do yanga on top of your properties because of court marriage. WHEN SHE LIE ABOUT HER AGE LEAVE HER, that is a good ground to void the marriage anytime without any settlement. BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVIDENCE THAT SHE LIED ABOUT HER AGE.
