Just as someone above said,I think its a psychological issue too,maybe she grew up in an aggressive home where her dad/mum corrected her with aggression and she has learnt to correlate love with that,or on the other hand,maybe she's just the submission type of girl,if so,try to know the boundary between correcting with love before its escalates and you become a woman beater cus power is quite addictive

I totally get your point. I used to write too (a lot) and did some public speaking but I ended up doing Engineering in the university and oh boy, I struggled. I was lucky to have picked up some books, it was at that point in dawned on me that I have chosen the wrong path. I didn't quit Engineering though but I picked up my pen, started writing, attended public speaking classes, it was really hard for me (at that time). But I'm glad I was able to "re-connect". I think you just have to start writing again... Just write anything and don't be afraid to make mistakes. You may check out Maya Angelou's Biography, I'm sure you'd get some sort of inspiration from it.

True op,although I can't exactly pinpoint how I lost mine,used too write a lot when I was in second school,but right now,I cnt right anything,can't just find the motivation again. I guess life happened to it,life kills many of our dreams as we grow up and realize the world isn't exactly how we imagined it

Hello nairalanders,pls I've been trying to find the word that best describes people who are drawn to pain,and I don't mean sadist(they enjoy other peoples pain), I mean someone who enjoys having emotional pain and the likes.I don't really know if there's a word for these people,I'll appreciate it if someone eventually helps me out

Its nice finding a thread for introverts,came online today searching for a thread like this,am an introvert,like a chronic one,I live in my head,I have my own world there,and its pretty awesome,the only problem is that no1 seems to understand the kind of person I am.most of my life I've never had a close friend,not even a best friend,people seem to judge me from afar that am boring,not lively,rude,proud,and its really hard not letting these things get to me,hence I suffer from depression atimes when it gets to lonely.but other than that,I'll never give up my introvertism for anything,its helped me realize who I am and helped me become better,so am I the only one like that here?having a problem with having friends and keeping them?

Don't ever say a hurtful thing to an introvert,hurtful words last longer in our minds than compliments and don't judge an introvert if you have not tried to understand them first of all,op are u an introvert like us?

Hello randV,pls I need your help,was considering opening a thread until I found yours.my issue is that my skin reacts to almost all creams I rub,my body especially my hands becomes sweaty,even popular creams like jergens,st ivy,and am left at odds to use only vaseline because I don't react to it.but now am getting darker and pimples are starting to grow there,don't know if you have any advice for me and solution,thanks
