Seun for not contacting me Sibrah before going public with your resignation, I hereby resign my post as a poster in this forum and suggest Musiwa.., (1 - ~) as the new owner of Nairaland. . . |
Where is Shekerau in all of this? |
Logicboy03: See the liar?I knew it was a joke even be fore i read the first comment. |
WINDOWS 8 4 GB RAM, I3 PROCESSOR FOR A 16GB SQL DATABASE FILE ON SQL AND NETBEANS. WILL IT BE ENOUGH? |
Maiduguri boils again. I am sure PDP will be needing the heat to boil their Rice Agent Sincere is currently advertising in politics section. |
All these talk of Aso rock going to one zone to me is the effect PDP's influence in the lives of Nigerians. The zoning of Presidency is a PDP idea and i see no reason why anyone should be thinking of beating Pdp in a game they invented - Zoning. |
Double post error. |
dayokanu: Nobody in the Nigerian context would care that much about Ibo votes because ever since independence they vote in one direction |
Opposition cannot afford to start by being tribal about candidate, enforcing the rotation policy PDP is known for will only make them another PDP. Zonal Rotation is for PDP and even within the PDP the East is not recognized as a zone but the south and north. |
The Almajiri system indeed! The Almajiris we have today are no normal almajiris but ones from a failed almajiri system and failed alternative in form of the government |
Talking about Government providing houses, i don't exactly agree with that idea, what i expect the Lagos state government to do is provide low interest, long term Loans targeted at estate developers. This should reduce the cost burden developers usually try to offload to their clients within short periods and make housing lucrative for developer and affordable to clients as well. |
The Fact is Lagos isn't for everyone. A lot of people go there only to engage in degrading trades like street hawking, and 'touting', but then i think the poster who raised the question about borrowing rate made a lot of sense. You cannot afford to borrow at a rate you will probably struggle with its repayment. The venture which one decides to borrow to fund must be in existense and with a predictable level of profit. Borrowing, to me, should be a means of multiplying yeild of a viable and 'live' venture, and not for experimenting with the viability of a venture. |
And which reputable news agency will forfeit a domain of 'Newsgallery.com' only to go for 'Newsgallary.com'? Its a scam news, as far as i am concerned. |
Sincere 9gerian: Why not open another thread on Bayelsa? If you dont know how to open a thread I can teach youI feel your pain bro, its like i murdered the thread right! but then don't be too quick to blame me, you shot yourself in the leg by presenting a topic that's dead on arrival. |
take dat: Thought your Oga, Labaran Maku took you guys on the good governance tour to Nasarawa? Why not share with us all that you inspected there, after all hundred of millions of naira was budgeted for the programme.Another good point there, after-all the FG should have something to show for all their millions "spent" in all states plus they don't have to pay state civil servants a dime there. |
Sincere 9gerian: What is happening? Is nothing happening in Nasarawa? I cant believe this. It seems the governor is just 'managing' to pay salaries? Why is the so much talked about Buhari and his CPC magic yet to manifest in Nasarawa? Buhari and CPC gangs on NL should prove me wrong. I'm waiting patientlyNasarawa may be managing to pay salary, but i doubt that was the case for Bayelsa some 6-12 years ago. Whatever is being demanded from Nasarawa today must have been present in Bayelsa some 6 to 12 years ago for a thread like this to be considered balanced. |
Sincere 9gerian: Something shocking is unfolding on this thread. We'r on the 3rd page now but still no evidence of activity in Nasarawa state? What is happening? This is unbelievable! If i may ask, where are the Gej magic in Bayelsa that helped shaped the imaginary 'Minds' of million during 2011 polls? during 2011 polls the shout was all about the North ruling for 35yrs with nothing to show, but all of a sudden it is about records and influence of key party members because of the massive PDP re branding in the media abi!. How will PDP and Gej have rated in Bayelsa if this thread was directed at them in 2010. What did Gej have to show for his time as Bayelsa state governor? at least in was in power and had a better chance of changing thing if not the best chance for changing Bayelsa for good unlike Buhari, add the huge difference in Bayelsa and Nasarawa FG allocation and it is easy to see how OP's point are all dead on arrival. |
thelastPope: GEJ and PDP influence on Bayelsa have been flogged and over flogged on this forum for over 2 years now so much that there is nothing to say again. There has been practically hundreds of threads on that. This is the first thread on CPC and Nasarrawa. So let it roll. Referecing another person or tipic is not an answer. The question is clear and demands a clear answer. If Buhari becomes president, he will rule through the governors many of which will be opposition governors. So lets hear or see what how he has fared with a governor in his own party, simpleSo what's ur point? If Buhari/CPC influence in Nasarawa must be used to rate them, then i think GEJ and his Party deserves some attention here. I never asked that that the thread be derailed with how Gej spent his time in Bayelsa, all i need is for your to point out how Gej time in Bayelsa relates to the support he appeared to get during the election. That way a thread like this where Buhari's CPC influence in a state controlled by his party is being used to question his 2015 ambition will be better justified. |
Is Nasarawa any better than Bayelsa under GEJ? I am asking this because i know a good number of people here have a reputation on NL for being pro-GEJ. If assessment of CPC influence in Nasarawa is used to rate potential president then we may need to analyze PDP influence in Bayelsa under GEJ. We should remember that Nasarawa and Bayelsa were carved out of more developed state under similar circumstances. Though Bayelsa dwarfs Nasarawa in FG allocation. |
Count from the number one position in the land (Presisdent) Downward, who is the next Yoruba man or woman?, might be this Oyinlola that many of his people here are laughing at. Opposition under the ACN will really Cost the Yorubas this time around. In the days of Awo, they would have cleverly grabbed that “Speaker Slot” when it was offered to them. If after say about 12 years and the ACN cannot win the Presisdency, I wonder what they will do. You don’t put all your eggs in one basket, no wonder Ondo people stayed out.
The bold part above is classical Mumu-ish logic. My people My people mentality to me has no gain, if not OBJ would have been celebrated all over the SW during his disastrous stay in Aso Rock. |
I think he kept it secret from the Uniben authorities and relevant national regulatory bodies. |
The image-maker themselves sure need some image-making. |
take dat: PDP is a party where you have over ambitious crooks trying to outwit one another in an attempt to plunder the nation's wealth. The influence of GEJ on the party is gradually dwindling and his desperation for a 2015 ticket will eventually lead the party to its ruin!@bold, it is just a Political Olympics to them. |
Will a OBJ boy takeover from him? meanwhile Aso Rock is focusing all their online dawg on Tinubu/Fashola and Buhari. |
20, 'boardmaths' . . . if you know what i mean. |
warrior01: it doesn't really pay to be an armchair critic without facts. major transmission projects are ongoing and whether you like it or not we will get there; your hatred for Gej not withstanding. We have seen numerous MOU signed before with no end result or extremely delayed result. The only way GEJ and his People could have sounded credible was to actually implement the power transmission project along with the power generation projects. I don't buy Scam development. |
I still maintain my stance in all of this. Where is the provision for transmission of the power they claimed to have generated. In the absence of a solid explanation, my verdict is this: The GEJ Admin is simply using the restriction on power transmission capacity to make frivolous claims of power generation capacity because they know fully well that power transmission comes after power generation and is dependent on power generation in a power system. |
