Politics › Re: Why the Double Standard to judge Between Gej And Buhari? by Sibrah: 7:35pm On Feb 24, 2013
Sincere 9gerian may also need to tell Nairalanders why he choose to scrutinize Buhari/CPC's influence in CPC controlled Nasarawa state while rating him for 2015 but fail to tell all how GEJ/PDP's record in Bayelsa justifies or merit his presence in Aso rock. If some rules that applied to Buhari did not apply to GEJ I wonder why all rules used in rating Buhari should apply to GEJ now. Double standard my foot.
Politics › Re: APC Unfolds 7-point Agenda by Sibrah: 11:57am On Feb 21, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: "seven-point cardinal development initiative to provide qualitative education, uninterrupted power supply, full and gainful employment, affordable local fuel, healthcare and food.
The party said it would also take definite steps to eradicate corruption and insecurity"...APC
...................

Talk is cheap! Has the various components of APC provided these MOUTH WATERY GOODIES in places they've been in complete control over the years?

For instance, the ACN has been in charge of Lagos for 13 solid years, but can the party claim to be providing qualitative education thru the state owned university? The last we heard was that school fees was increased from N25,000 to N250,000.

Again, how can the same ACN that refused to pay the marginal increase in the stipends teachers earn as salaries in Lagos give us qualitative education? Can poorly paid teachers produce qualitative education?

It would appear the APC 'juju' that provides qualitative education works only when deployed from Aso Rock

The APC claims it will provide stable power supply but that will be difficult to believe because so far none of the APC controlled has invested in building of power plants to serve the public and augment whatever the FG is doing. If Geometrics, a privately owned company can build power plants, which it hopes to transmit and distribute in Aba, why can't the Lagos state govt, with N30/40billion monthly revenue, build power plants in Lagos state 13yrs down the line? If Akwa-Ibom and Rivers are building power plants, why not Lagos?

The APC also claim it would provide "full and gainful employment". One would like to know if unemployment has been eradicated in places where the APC is currently in charge- Lagos, Zamfara, Nasarawa, etc. How many gainful employment have been provided in these states? Ok maybe the APC 'juju' for providing "full and gainful employment" only works if deployed from Aso Rock.

The APC also claim it will provide "affordable fuel". Interesting! One would like to know precedents of affordable things the APC has provided in places they'r currently in charge. I guess the lagos state govt made LASU school fees more affordable by increasing it from N25,000 to N250,000? Or is the Lekki toll fees affordable?

Maybe the APC 'juju' for making things affordable only works if deployed from Aso Rock.

Also, how does provision of affordable fuel fly with the recent removal of fuel subsidy in Ghana?

The APC also claims it will take "definite steps to eradicate corruption". I guess the most definite step in this direction will be to ask the Lagos state house of assembly speaker to step down and clear himself of the weighty allegations of corruption leveled against him by the EFCC. Even Farook Lawan and Hembe had to step aside as the chairman of their various committees when allegations of corruption was leveled against them.

In addition, how many civil servants, political appointees, etc have been sanctioned by the Lagos state for corruption in the last 13yrs? Or are all civil servants and political appointees in Lagos saints? Is there any law that barrs the state govt from FIGHTING corruption? How many ghost workers have been eradicated from the civil service in Lagos? Are there no ghost workers in Lagos?

Talk is indeed cheap!!!
Mr. Man, a good number of your arguments against the APC here are dead on arrival as usual. ACN for example has had to struggle with the overbearing influence of the federal government on it affairs. from Power to roads and most important, Funds, the FG has always influenced the running of Lagos.

Before you post a reply that's probably dead on arrival, don't forget how GEJ under PDP rose from being a total failure in Bayelsa to become the Messiah he is to you and some selected few in Aso rock today. If A Total Failure can, why not a Fashola or a Rochas?
Politics › Re: APC: Tambuwal For President? by Sibrah: 4:36pm On Feb 17, 2013
I heard PDP is working on a Fashola(P)/Jonathan(VP) ticket owing to the poor performance of the GEJ govt under PDP. They are taking it serious as they don't want to concede power to APC. The move to woo Fashola by PDP is beleived to be an attempt to unsettle the APC camp by killing two birds with one stone as it will weaken APC and significantly strengthen PDP. Na so i hear oh . . . Lol.

Politics › Re: Amaechi Promises 20-hours Power Supply In Rivers State By March by Sibrah: 8:58pm On Feb 16, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Governor Amaechi obviously thinks stable power supply begins and ends with building of power plants and one or two transmission facilities. He forgot about the unprecedented dilapidated distribution networks. Personally, I dont expect sustainable improvement in power supply until private firms take over the PHCN distribution facilities.
You must be kidding, power supply doesn't start and end with its generation and buiding of few new transmission lines, but then do you want the man to start his own state-wide power distribution grid? What our seemingnly parasitic FG is suppose to do is prioritize more, states that pump more power into the National grid when distributing so they can be motivated to pump more power into the grid and possibly overshoot their power need. This your gameplan of checkmating Ameachi along with the likes of Fashola, Tinubu, and Buhari will do you and your boss no significant good.

Sincere 9gerian: I dont "attack Buhari/Tinubu". Rather what I do is constructively criticise some of Buhari's past and present actions. I have never called Buhari any silly name. As for Tinubu, it just occured to me that I hardly criticise him. I guess I have to find more time for him henceforth.
Lol . . . You hardly criticize Tinubu! You be clown oh . . . Sincere Arze-leaker. You constructively criticized Buhari but subtly forgot to introduce Gej into post even when he is in key position to influence the credibility of the next major election of our suffering nation.

Sincere 9gerian: I didn't call you an illiterate. I wrote "make you appear an illiterate". But what were you thinking when you wrote "You are begining to go after those who pose the greatest treat to your boss now". I dont understand how the president of Nigeria became my boss. Are you not a Nigerian? Did you write that because you'r hate-filled? Pls explain.
I have nothing to explain to you as your reputation here on NL has confirmed you as Gej/PDP boy, if not you wouldn't bother to attack Tinubu/ Buhari (two main figure of the newly formed opposition party) when in fact Gej is in a vantage position to influence the credibility of the 2015 election come 2015. Don't forget you started this thread focusing on a credible election as one of the main divident of democracy, i am reminding u of this fact because it appears content of your post on this thread is gradually being redirected by you to avoid strong point raise against you.
Politics › Re: Democracy: What Is Your Most Important Dividend(s) Of Democracy? by Sibrah: 9:28am On Feb 16, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Dont you think free and fair elections is the most important dividend of democracy? If no, why? That is what this thread is about.

Meanwhile, the president is not my boss or any other persons boss. The president of Nigeria is the president of EVERY Nigerian, including you (except you'r a foreigner). Dont allow your hatred for someone push you to post comments that make you appear an illiterate.
illiterate? Don't attack my person here. I know what i saw during 2011 election - Polling stations with almost zero activity having a full ballot box arriving late, and when you dig deep to see the party that won in most areas under where such polling station fall, it is the Killer Party! So i had to ask if Some politicians have decided to encourage registration of more undecided voters again.
Politics › Re: Democracy: What Is Your Most Important Dividend(s) Of Democracy? by Sibrah: 3:47am On Feb 16, 2013
You are begining to go after those who pose the greatest treat to your boss now. Good move there.
Btw, what is Jonathan working this time around concerning a 'fair' election come 2015? Are we going to be seeing another e-voters registration followed by a mass campaign encouraging people to register as voters again?

Politics › Re: Iran Generating 76,800 MW And Exporting Power Despite Being Under Sanctions!!! by Sibrah: 9:06pm On Feb 14, 2013
ROSSIKE: Why can't you fools answer a simple question??

You're here praising Iran for generating 1 billion mw. I now told you that Iran has done this BECAUSE OF the harsh dictatorial political system it operates whereby ZERO OPPOSITION is tolerated by govt in all facets of life. There is no debate about anything. No disagreement. No accountability. No National Assembly debating motions etc. Any opposition to govt means instant arrest, imprisonment, and/or execution.

I PUT IT TO YOU THAT IRAN COULD NEVER ACHIEVE WHAT IT HAS WITHOUT THAT SYSTEM IN PLACE.

Next question: ARE YOU WILLING TO LIVE THROUGH SUCH A POLITICAL SYSTEM IN NIGERIA?

IF THE ANSWERR IS NO, THEN YOU HAVE NO BASIS TO COMPARE NIGERIA TO IRAN.

Tell me something. Are you aware that a harsh, dictatorial state is by nature a form of corruption?

They steal your rights.

They steal your liberty.

They steal your voice.

They steal your freedom of religion.

They steal your freedom of association.

They steal your freedom of opinion.

In exchange they give you 24/7 light and cheap food.

So there IS A PRICE.

Don't come here brandishing Iran's achievements without telling the people the price Iranians paid for it.

ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY THE SAME PRICE IN NIGERIA?

IF NOT, THEN DON'T MENTION IRAN.
What abt South Africa?

Their services are more suitable for IT technicians as they sell almost any laptop part. I just don't know their reputation in service delivery.

What about the real workers getting Ghost level salary? The House of Rep, Senate, Legislate-thieves?
I laughed when i saw the beginning of the news where it says:
The Federal Government has so far uncovered 45,000 ghost workers in its bid to eliminate waste in its expenditure.
In a case like this where our govt is faced with two obvious evils of Ghost workers and high earning public office holders, one will expect that a truly serious govt set up will at least try to prioritize the greater evil more, but as you can all see . . .

Politics › Re: APC, Party Of Teenagers – Bode George by Sibrah: 9:26am On Feb 11, 2013
“They are teenagers in politics of this country and we aren’t afraid of them. It is even good that for the first time, we are having a semblance of opposition who are living their comfort zones as tribal warlords. Let us see how Bola Tinubu and General Muhammadu Buhari would sustain this. We aren’t afraid. Can Tinubu work with Buhari? It is a huge joke. Where are they going to meet? They are incompatible. They have no common ground.” The PDP chieftain further expressed confidence that the party would remain the party to beat in the country, as he claimed that it was “the only party that has the true colours” of the country.
And guess what the common ground of PDP is . . .

Politics › Re: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by Sibrah: 8:48pm On Feb 10, 2013
PointB: Ohanaze is on point here. Most Igbo voters will heed their call and support a party that fields a presidential candidate of Igbo extraction. I know that APC permutation is based largely on touted voting population of other regions to clinch power. But voting the voting population the count on may not necessarily present a complete picture. To win the presidency, you will need 25% of vote cast in at least 24 states in addiction to winning the majority vote. This is where the Igbo votes counts, and to trifle with this is to make the same mistake Buhari made in 2011.

ANPP and AC.N boast of credible Igbos in the midst, it's time to show those men who have sacrificed a lot to these party that their contribution are recognised. What stops AC.N for instance from nominating Ngige as presidential candidate from their party? Or is he only good as merger committee member? How about Rochas the braced the element to join them, is he not worthy enough?

Time now for APC to think deep about Ohaneze's offer, no one can win election in Nigeria without the Igbo votes. You can take this to the bank!
So can we conclude that Igbos voted GEJ in 2015 because they felt he was closer to them ethnically? If not, who are they going to vote for if Jonathan clinches the PDP ticket in 2015, The Igbo candidate or GEJ?
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by Sibrah: 8:42pm On Feb 10, 2013
How can APC field an Igbo candidate when 99% of Igbos will likely vote Jonathan in '15? It is like PDP agents are in charge of this Ohaneze people and are bent on using them again like they did before.
Politics › Re: 'The Economist' Testimony On Nigeria's New Trains by Sibrah: 5:10pm On Feb 10, 2013
Oga yelsew80 take am easy oh, you mean we should be celebrating this kind of service delivery when there is so much room for improvement? It is a positive thing in its self but then i think the trains should be used to support cargo movement and not humans. Nigerians deserve more irrespective of how many years we have been without trains and under who's govt we are experiencing the mini-revival of ous trains, afterall same fed govt is in charge of Fed inter-state roads and we all know the story.
