rhektor: This is not an employment it is just a social intervention, it is aimed at cushioning the effects of joblessness as well as giving the unemployed graduates a job experience. At least appreciate this government for once. The past administration brought SUREP that was not even sure, for how much? 10k. You see nothing wrong in that but 30k is wrong because it is Buhari? May hate not kill you. When you want to criticise please do it logically. |

razid: See you. Is there any country in the world that has all its citizen "gainfully employed"?
Are you aware that part of Donald Trump's campaign is that he is going to create jobs? He even accused Obama of taking all Americans jobs to China. When providing job is still a campaign issue in Almighty America at this time, commonsense should tell you that the global economy is not smiling at all. slave mentality |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Buhari Presidency Kicks Off Job Scheme For Half A Million Unemployed Graduates by Sibrah: 9:23pm On Nov 20, 2016 |
razid: The way you reason is something else. In your workplace, do all of you earn the same salaries? Do you have dispatch riders, security guards, cleaners, messengers, gate-keepers at all? Why don't your management offer them "good offers" all this while? Can you tell me categorically that all of you who are working in the office are better than them? Answer these questions in all sincerity and tell me if you couldn't see the hole in your argument.
Secondly, how many of those who are earning the so-called N18k minimum wage have resigned their jobs? Are you aware that more than 1million people actually applied for this job despite knowing that the salary is mere N30k according to you.
The problem is that most of you will be talking as if you've not been living in Nigeria or you were living in paradise before the advent of this administration. So because pple r doing N18k job N30k is cool. Do u understand what it is to be "Gainfully Employed"? |

razid: They come online to rant and complain about the job of N30,000 per month while some of them have not earned up to that amount in their lives. Yet majority of them are checking their phones every seconds, checking their emails every minutes, already bookmarked the portal in their phones just to find out if they have been shortlisted. Still, they still come online to form big man. Pathetic people. It is you that's pathetic man. N30K now is like N18k before recession going by its buying power. You think one can rent an apartment, further your studies, support a relative with that kind of money ? They do CBN job 'coded' and shout about N30k job. Let's do it like this, FG wage bill before they busted ghost workers was some N20bn higher than it is now. If they pay those guys N100,000 each, 200,000 people can be paid their salary. Why pay them N30k then? That N30k is like N18k before the recession. |

After all how will the poor man be affected If you make people pay for being rich then they will hide their wealth. There is no point paying more for less. Why help our leaders keep buying wine when the can't give us water? As for church, if you tax them, be ready to also make ever secret group open it accounting books and be taxed. |

In principle, increasing tax isn't a bad idea but increasing in the face of corrupt and wasteful governance is bad. Why should the poor help contribute to help fund the a government that's wasteful by all standards. If the govt does her job and give me fairness, security, power, justice, and amenities, the fine. We all know our sleeping leaders are one of the highest paid. Why keep paying if they aren't productive. |

MrEverest: Buhari's utterances, body odour and senseless actions since he took over are the main reasons we found ourselves in such unenviable position. Buhari is tactless, bereft of sound judgement and acts before thinking! His 97% and 5% statement, his cancelation of pipeline protection contract & pursuing of Tompolo, his crass nepotism & sectionalism in plural country, his poor economic team & wrong monetry policies etc. I can go on to list several other reasons why Buhari is to blamed for Nigeria's woes. Its not just because of crash in oil prices, infact reduction of export quantities by half due to militancy is even worse. Nigeria would not have been in such crises if a sound & reasonable president is in Aso rock!!! Did all these trashy excusses also prompted Iweala to warn us about hard times ahead? |

Opiletool: Yeah, but is the government planning towards that? what is the government doing to implement the plans? until the government set up palliative measures as she accordingly move towards implementing better plans to alleviate the suffering, I still maintain my stance that these are terrible times to be called a Nigerian. Not because of the recession, but because the government is clueless as to what to do to make a turn around in our economy . Does govt plant cassava, tomato, or fathers children? |

MrEverest: Nigerians are treating a deadly situation with kids gloves, the earlier Buhari is removed, the better for us all. By january, Nigeria will enter depression and the crises that will result from it due to starvation will be terrible! So Buhari is the cause of fall in oil prices or you didn't bother to read the article at all? |
