FSBoperator: Who we go blame? Is it still Jonathan or PDP that did not save grains for the hard times?
Or how about the total devastation of farming communities in parts of Taraba, Nassarawa and Benue (the traditional food basket region) orchestrated by fulani herdsmen under strict supervision of security forces under the orders of the Presidency?
Or how about the declaration of technical defeat to boko haram which has devastated the agrarian communities of Borno and Adamawa?
Or what of the suspension of fertiliser and seedlings distribution to farmers by this govt?
Buhari you have succeeded in turning Nigeria to one of your lean cows. Are you aware Jonathan govt refused to pay fertilizer debt? |

It is the duty of government to have in place checks to avoid famine as a result of excessive export.

Politics › Re: Increase In Hunger, Poverty Will Continue If... - Patriotic Democrats by Sibrah: 8:01pm On Nov 14, 2016 |
erunz: Patriotic Democrats, a coalition of young Nigerians in the country have raised the alarm over the increase in hunger , poverty, crime, unemployment and suicide in the country.
The group raised the alarm in Lagos, Nigeria after the first ever e-summit held in the country, warning that if the President fails to do something before 20th of December of 2016, it could lead to the breakdown of law and order.
The group which carried out an intelligent analysis on the current situation of the country's young population interviewed 106,000 respondents across 36 states of Nigeria.
According to the research, 102,005 out of a total of 106,000 of the respondents claimed to have seen incidents of survival which includes the running into vehicles and motor bikes as a means of making money off the owners.
Another 70,497 claimed to have experienced petty stealing which is now the order of the day as stealing of soups while being cooked are being announced on radio stations.
Reports of inflated goods and services have also been experienced as common goods such as bread, rice (a staple food in the country), have all skyrocketed. Transportation in the major cities kf the country have also been inflated and have become unneccesarily high.
A total of 106,000 respondents claimed to have experienced a hike in fare on their way to the interview venue.
In the light of this research, the Patroitic Democrats hereby call on the Federal Government led by President Buhari to engage technical experts on the needed moves to elevate Nigeria out of the present state it is in.
If he cannot, the option of making Nigerians happy once again is readily available by quitting the stage.
Signed Patriotic Democrats Cyber group? NairaLand? God help this generation. |

This Reno Omockery guy is a wailing robot. What he is saying here is like telling a broke man he is bereft of ideas. How does he expect ideas to be implemented if the country is trying to pay the debts his master left us? He should know that it takes money(capital) to make money(profit). He call himself a Pastor but writes trash by comparing $45pb oil price to OBJ's regime. Is the salary bill of govt, population, or cost of producing a barrel of oil comparable for OBJ's tenure and Buhari's? The guy is a real Omockery. |

Politics › Re: Anambra state is the least indebted (domestic debt) state in Nigeria - DMO by Sibrah: 7:17am On Nov 13, 2016 |
greenermodels: do you also notice that apc states seems to be the most heavily indebted? buhari is towing the same line with our national economy. I am not bothered whether APC is more indebted than PDP or APGA. They are all guilty to varying extent and I suggest states only borrow against proven IGR capacity and not against fluctuating oil income. Most of the states are pressuring Buhari in to selling National assets today, where are their own assets they built with those competing loan figures? |
Politics › Re: Anambra state is the least indebted (domestic debt) state in Nigeria - DMO by Sibrah: 2:47am On Nov 13, 2016 |
State like Osun used most ( 95% ) of the money to impress for four years. For example, Agabusta should realize that things like Opòn Imó, O-feed and school buildings in Osun state can't yeild any significant return in the next 20 - 30 years. The bitter truth is, most of the loans where squandered. No need defending failures. I challenge Aregbe to list the state's assets for sale and let's if the price they command comes close to the loans they took. |

naijaking1: This is the real and authentic determinant of our naira value, not oil, and not some foo--oolish comment from Buhari In principle, anything that fetches us $$ in intl market is the real determinant of dollar value in forex market. For example cassava when exported as starch yeilds double the return of when used for garri. As people rush into farming its to take advantage of the rising dollar rate supply will increase against a stable local demand and drive local prices down. |

mrvitalis: Why the so much talk about oil exploration in the north..? What about his efforts to increase Nigeria's water boundaries to include about 40% more oil blocks??
And for those asking if this is diversification.. . Let me asked what will be wrong if we produce 10 million barrels per day and yet it only contribute 30% of our earnings?? Make sense pls . . . 20 or 40 million bpd will always be a pain as long as there is over dependence on oil. If we had developed our refining capacity to 2 million bpd by now it would have given us some extra 150,000 direct employement and saved mad amount of forex. |

mrvitalis: This the comment of someone who doesn't know a thing of how the oil industry works.. .
What difference dose if make if all the oil wells are owned by a northerner? ?
Ijaws are here and Buhari and our minster of petroleum is running all over the world looking for people to come and develop oil blocks and u are here saying trash
It takes over a billion dollars to get an oil block to become operational and if you have this cash and rady to invest am sure government will rush and give u oil blocks as much as u want
Even 80% of Nigerians owned oil blocks are not operational or operating far below capacities
Learn u guys will refuse ha ha bros . . . Small small now. So Alakija n those other military men spent $1bn before their oil block became operational. . . |

A time will come when groups, sects would find it extremely difficult and unnecessary to hold the nation to ransom over mundane issues..its good news should this exercise comes futile With the way Nigeria is structured, more oil will always be bad news. . . . |
