I've always thought that the three rakats are witr. Also, I hear people say you can observe the 3 rakats without salamo/sitting between the second and the last rakat if you want. Or observe only one rakat. Please clarify

If you can give your 16 year old daughter for marriage (i.e a girl below 18), then you are in the same league with Senator Yerima in the eyes of those you want to absolve Islam from this issue.

Also, If you base your definition of maturity to mean a secondary school graduate, I know some brilliant girls that finished their secondary school before 16. Will you give them out for marriage if you were to be their father?

LagosShia: otherwise I expect a muslim girl to finish her university education before marriage,and also live a decent and moral life as a good muslim in a decent home.the parents have a lot to do. you don't destroy a girl's future because you think early marriage would protect her chastity.it is like destroying one place to build another.

What if it takes the girl up to 30+ before she graduates from uni? Or no cases of such?
As for the part in bold, early marriage would go a long way to protect her chastity. And who says she can't continue her education even while marrired

Like I said earlier, the bill is not about age of consent but for renunciation of citizenship. Let's assume is about age of consent. You said Islam left space for Muslims to decide the figure based on the time and environment , so my question goes thus: what would you propose for age of consent for marriage in this our environment and time?
