Ishaq96: You welcome, For those who have connects please kindly call your connect, cos Firs sends your employment letter directly to your connect. Those who had their names from National Assembly their letters were sent to Nass. Apc chieftains firs sent the letter to the chieftains. Cheers did you even read what cbn4main said? Is not possible letters will be sent to all connect like you said. Just few will get theirs through that and by next week calls will be made to others |

Onyiridike: I support your analysis
When I was informed that we would wait for at least 6 months after interview, I taught it was a joke.
If it took DPR almost 3 years to recruit 250 candidates, how long do you think it will take them to do the same for 400+ candidate?
Just like it happened during the interview, DPR will only contact successful candidates when they are done with organizing and preparing for induction/training.
Even private organizations such as banks take more than a year to conclude recruitment. I wonder, it what I said and someone wants to have my head for it. No government recruitment is fast, the fastest is a year plus |

Because is wrong then people should give up hope? I dont understand the argument really. If you believe government recruitment taking long is rumour then you obviously have no inkling about government recruitment. If you have given up then delete this thread and stop coming here. |

If you wan to move on, you should just move on already. You don't have to come here and say people should move on or force it on them. I didn't apply for DPR job but all I know is that three agencies started this journey together in 2016 (FIRS, DPR AND NCC). NCC successful were given letters march this year and I have a friend who was successful leaving both DPR and FIRS still in ghe game and I know they will call soon. Just a little patience is needed from you guys, check all federal recruitment threads and you will know these thing take long. Cheers |

cosade: I do not want to make further comment on this issue after Lady G's detailed and very explanatory post, but will do just this one on the subject.
As Lady G rightly mentioned, my post was addressed to a specific person that made the post, though others in similar situation can borrow an idea from it. In this case the OP claimed he's an Education Officer, a civil servant. Interestingly, this person did not contest the opinion given.
Suddenly, this was misconstrued to public servants in CBN, NNPC etc. By the way, this category of government workers are public servants and not civil servants. Cheers
Please let's focus on the reasons why this thread was created. LOL...maybe I will send you an email and we could lecture ourselves more on the differences between a civil and public servant. |

cosade: "Good schedule" or "juicy posting" does not bring significant extra income for civil servants, those that earn 3x their salary simply use their position for rent seeking. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/rentseeking.asp
I can tell you from experience that a civil servant that diligently discharged his duties to the public, will hardly get 1% to say "thank you". However, there is great gain in Godliness with contentment.
Those that earn 3x of their salaries or more, would have created an environment forcing the public to part with money before rendering service. There is no other name for this behaviour but fraud. Like I said before that I dont want to comment further on this issue but your latest talk on adekunle's post will make me comment further. You said we couldnt comprehend what coscade said, can you please summarise these? Was he only referring to the education officer by saying civil servants? or those working in places I mentioned are not civil servants? Dont come and lecture us on comprehension please, we all go school |

In other news, Now I understand why there was a module called "reading comprehension " in my time. It seems that has been scrapped Like I said before, that would be be last post on this issue. Thanks |

cosade: Apparently, those that stole. Note that US Embassy does not give visas to civil servants that have unexplained huge savings or properties. so you think all civil servants earn 50k per month? For your information some that works in parastatals earn big with bogus bonuses and are millionaires as they climb up |
