Lovely! This will send good signal to any other govt top guy who may want to take the same route.
My small grouse is that this could have happened since January/February at the latest.
Notwithstanding, it's still far better late than never cos I can't recall any past top government official who was removed for infractions as this one.
Never happened. PMB still proves that he's capable of doing the right thing when the chips are down. |

[s] madridguy: Soludo can go and jump inside Lagoon or run into a moving train. OBJ regime is the worst thing that could ever happened to someone's enemy. Jonathan biggest mistake is not investigating OBJ crook dealings as per PDP to PDP.
Jonathan remains a saint compare to the old thief that sold every Nigeria properties and assets.
God alone will judge OBJ. [/s] You can't know 1/100th of what people like Soludo and Sanusi know about how Nigeria is run. So, shut up and face the topic. Mynd44, Lalasticlala make una refresh our memory with this ogbonge news for front page. |

Politics › Re: Who Is The Presidency? by SillyMods: 12:28pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
[s]I think the presidency comprises of:
1. The president 2. The vice president 3. SGF 4. Chief of Staff to the President;and possibly 5. NSA
Whenever the presidency is used, it connotes the fact that all those listed above were part of the decision taken.
I stand to be corrected though. [/s]
modified* It actually refers to the office of the president |

[s] locosis007: your ignorance is without doubt at its zenith. read properly before you quote a person., circulation of the news isn't the problem, but the aftermath is mainly the problem, sure its a good thing the recovery is made public, but surely it will be more effective if the issue is charged with much seriousness not media prosecution like the others.
let's wait and see if any person is held accountable, prosecuted and sentenced
too much media prosecution less sentence.! [/s] |

PDP as a party is dead and burried.

BTW, i read the nonsense u wrote. When a security agency is claiming to own money, another security agency in the same government will sieze it and broadcast to the world?? And u claim it's done in the developed world?
Please pour cold water on your head, your brain is overheating. You're too ignorant kid. A security agency claiming to own a huge sum of dollars stashed in a private apartment? And you expect a truly professional EFCC to accept that balderdash and keep quiet? You're a joke and I am sure the white matter in your skull is no more than common powder or Akamu aka ogi (yoruba) aka agidi (Urhobo). |

Politics › Re: Why EFCC, ICPC, AGF May Lose More Corruption Cases by SillyMods: 6:55am On Apr 20, 2017 |
The budget to fight corruption is too small.
PMB must realize that he needs to pump huge money into the anti-corruption fight to succeed.
The top lawyers are already exposed to huge fees which the EFCC and ICPC can't afford. The looters on the other hand can afford to pay as much as 50% of their loot to get the good lawyers and buy some judeges to their side.
Better still, make PMB turn to a dictator if he go fit act in the interest of the generality of Nigeria. |

cktheluckyman: The main aim of the investigations if they are serious will be to determine who actually owns that apartment. Hardcore evidence must be adduced by whomever claims to owns that apartment. This must be confirmed with old records at the Lagos state ministry of lands, housing and survey.
Next will be to investigate how the money got to that apartment. Where did the owner of that apartment get that volume of forex from?
Furthermore FFK,Lere Olayinka should also be invited to substantiate their allegations that the apartment belongs to Amaechi.
If need be to probe links to the GEJ regime then officials of the GEJ regime who worked directly with the NIA should be invited most likely the already incarcerated former NSA Dasuki
Inviting GEJ himself is insulting and I bet you he would not even honour the summons with a response let alone showing up before the panel My friend, there is only few things to determine now and who owns the money or the apartment are not even part of those things. The NIA DG has clearly owned up to know about the money. He claimed it's for covert security operation which was approved by the IB. The questions to find answers to are: 1. Was the operation for which such huge money was kept appropriately approved by Mr. Jona? 2. If yes, why must the money be kept in a private apartment? 3. Two years after Jonathan, why was the president not informed of the covert operation? Or was the operation meant to unseat him? 4. If the DG NIA has refused to inform the sitting president, hasn't he committed treasonable offence? And if you read the report, it was clearly stated that the Otuoke Drunk will not be summoned but be asked to choose a place to meet him for questioning. And if you think it's wrong to question him, then it's the more reason we can't progress. |

Splashme: "A source said should Mr. Oke’s reported stance that Mr. Jonathan approved the money be found to be true, then the former president would have to be questioned. However, the former president may not be summoned, our sources said, as the committee members will arrange to meet with Mr. Jonathan, who left office in 2015, at the former president’s preferred point."
All these yeye newspapers be using Jonathan's name upandan to sell their market.
1) Was GEJ not president of Nigeria?
2) If for any reason he gave approval, was it a verbal one?
3) Definitely, it was written and documented!
4) What is Jonathan coming to the panel to do? The onus is on Mr Oke (or Aso Rock civil service) to search for and produce a copy of the of the approval. Unfortunately, El Fortunato gave many verbal approvals for many things. The man no fit run a classroom as a captain. |

new2012: You really don't get his point and have no need to insult him.
Usually before the world get briefed, the whole job around the money, the fraudsters, the thieves, and all investigations would have been completed by a sane organization. When this is not done, briefing will be continuous till completion Sorry to burst your bubble, even in the advanced democracies, news of discoveries are broken even before full investigation is commenced or completed. You report your discoveries first and then follow up with investigation. From America to UK to France and others, it's same process. It's only when the issue is of national security concern you don't have to do that. If you remove such huge raw cash from a private apartment and you don't announce it, the news will find its way to the media and before you know it, many will start alleging some cover-up or intention to loot steal the loot entirely. Wetin go fit satisfy una sef? |
