These pictures have not done justice to how heavenly this place looks like in reality. I am always proud to get in there daily for work. @OP forgot to mention that the classes are equipped with modern teaching aids like the Electronic smart boards, PA systems and all classes are equipped with Air conditioning systems. This institution has the latest multi-million naira simulators, newly acquired from India. Technical staff and other relevant Academic staff have been trained appropriately to man these equipment. Alot of Experienced professionals and seamen both Nigerians and foreigners have been employed, to ensure that cadets get updated lectures in accordance to current trends. What else, the Administration has been so amazing. You dont need to know anyone before you get trained. Did I mention that our online lectures are currently ongoing? Yes, they are and the Cadets can receive their lectures right from the comfort of their homes, that's why we were not much impeded by the Corona break. God bless our ICT team! It is definitely a place to be. And the Management has done ALOT to ensure that standard is attained and maintained. God Bless Duja! |

Quote me and I say, I think Akpabio is being witch-haunted. He isn't doing this outta his own volition. resurgent2019: |
OK even though I normally don't reply on any thread, I definitely have to do this, cos I am Gbagyi. @OP, thanks for the research and the Lil digging up u have done. Perhaps you didn't come to the point of discovery that there's a difference between Gbagyi and Gwari. Well, it would suffice to state that the peace-loving nature of these people cannot be overemphasized. You could take a case study from the Ijaws, the Akwaibomites, the Igbos and ppl from Rivers states. Would you by any chance let the thought cross your mind that you would take their lands for "government reasons" and not compensate appropriately? You would evn, after due compensation, have recurrent strive actions perhaps on annual basis. Well, there actually much to be said but I'm not the OP, neither am I an activist. I'm just a bloody Engineer. But posterity shall judge Nigeria if we keep being neglected. Finally, imagine, the FCT minister has at no point whatsoever been a Gbagyi! |
Thank you professor. This means alot to me! Testimony time shall Come... God Bless sir! wip7: |
Prof. Wip7. It amazes me so much how a man of ur kind, with so much busy schedule still have time for us, people you barely know! Thank you so much and God bless! My first degree is in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Master's in Communication Engineering. My research interest lies in telecommunications. However, for the fact that I applied for PTDF Ph.D scholarship, I decided to do some work on IoT and M2M Networking. Considering the trend of things and the status quo (wrt technology) I'd love to hear your view on an area that's blazing hot in my field and of course with less stress, lol that I could possibly consider?? Thank you so much sir. |
Pls add me to the whatsapp group 08032643595 |
Very educative writeup @OP. However why the implementation of IoT has been impeded generally and in countries like Nigeria is because( but not limited to) of the following reasons : 1. Intellectual property! It's a situation where u have several vendors with their codes designed specifically for their products. Now for the products of producer A to be interoperable with products of B, C, D, etc. They must all have to give up their data for so as a universally interoperable platform can be developed for all the vendors. 2. Time specific applications: Most of the deployments are time-sensitive and in situations where u have time latency ( like network failure) you are definitely bound to have a mishap. Imagine a machine with a delay to Stop command of 1 micro second! 3. Data storage. Most devices or nodes or things that would be on this network are not designed with enough space to handle the big data used in this kinda networks. Except there's a way round all these and many more challenges, implementation of IoT and across a wide spectrum of vendors is still gonna be a big challenge. PS. Several countries have sponsored research on this area and many research are still On-going atm. For e.g. China has the "sensing China" program, which is a project aimed to ensure that every or most equipment in the environment is connected. The UK has launched a research program in dis respect too I think with about £5 million pounds research funds. There's actually alot I wanna say abt this but lemmi let it rest for now and let's discuss. |

I was told by panel chairman that he knows my company very well and as such he won't ask me anything in my field cos he is sure I have so much strength there lol. And he started firing me hahaha. He opened xb again and saw certifications and laughed and said bros tell me what is not on ur cv about yourself. Well leave the story
