Dokore:You can go ahead |
anonymousey:While I understand your point, I'll also like to say that knowing how to use a laptop and maintaining it counts too. I've had a Dell Inspiron n4050 since 2012; bought it brand new for 85k and that thing has really surprised me with its longetivity. Though disc drive as stopped working and I've replaced keyboard and battery a couple of times, it's still going strong. |
I'll be back with updates when item is in my custody... Say a prayer for me fellas!!!!!!! |
ustavo:What's the status of your G7? |
Good day everyone I'm looking for a good computer. Brand name doesn't matter to me as long as the following conditions are met 1. SSD or very fast HDD 2. Backlight keyboard. 3. The processor must be a minimum of 7th Gen. If it's in the ~2Ghz range, I'd be extremely happy. 4. Shouldn't be too heavy. 5. Very good battery life. 6. RAM: minimum of 8GB. Reason for the requirements are simple; I'm a software developer and move around with my laptop a lot. Budget: 220K - 230K. Please hit me up guys. Thank you |

Is device unlocked? What's the spec (ROM and RAM) |
shegzhkn:I can tell you that OPay's backend is wack. 1. Their pin reset process is flawed. A pin reset token is valid for more than one pin reset request. 2. Their pin change process is flawed too. If you reset your pin and it goes through; then next time your app locks, it won't accept the new pin you changed to moments ago. 3. Their GPS location has very very bad accuracy. Uber's location system is light years better than OPay's. I told OPay to go sack their back-end devs in a thread I did yesterday on Twitter. As usual, their customer care slid into my DM and gave me the "we will escalate to the appropriate quarters" response. PS: I'm a software developer myself https://twitter.com/simioluwatomi/status/1180044438040657920?s=21 |
I'm actively looking hanger my laptop soon and would love to get this as a replacement. My comment is just to book mark he thread so that I can easily find it later when money Don set. Op, biko no vex |
cdor777:Though nothing is impossible, I'll say it's almost impossible to get a Dell XPS with that spec for that price. If you had said an Inspiron or Latitude, maybe. But the XPS 13? I doubt it |
The first time I read about this woman was in a publication by BOI. Most people wouldn't realise that this company is Nigeria's first stab at producing smart card chips in the country instead of importing from China or the West. Now that they are MasterCard certified, I guess it's only a matter of time before banks and telcos would be convinced to produce locally instead of importing. Just imagine the kind of profit companies like this (manufacturing) will make if our leaders decide to fix just power (generation and distribution). #WeMove |
jendy36:About the back-end thing, I'd advice you learn both. I'm a PHP guy but had to learn JavaScript because if the front-end. Now, I'm all into ES6, TypeScript, Babel, Webpack etc. I even picked up Vue.js along the way. Then I read a code snippet of a Node.js back-end + Express and discovered that I could understand what was going on. As in, I could read the code, parse it, understand it and follow the program logic. Once I'm done building some sample projects for my Github, I'm going to learn Node. Learning Node now for me is like a 20% job because I already understand JS. Las las, 80% of back-end engineers will learn JavaScript. Learning Node on top of that is just taking it further. |
madjune:She alleges that Funke stole her idea and ran with it despite them having signed contracts that Funke would not. According to her, she backed out of the business originally named TBS when she discovered that Funke was on NDLEAs list as a wanted coke pusher. She's a Nigerian but also holds a German passport and totally wants to dissociate herself from Funke and the business dealings they once had. Maybe she's pursuing for something very important in Germany and doesn't want the connection to Funke to affect her chances (my own POV). From the things she posted on Twitter, she practically wants TBR (The Beverage Room) shut down and yes, she posted evidence to back up her claims. I think she'll be heading to court too . |

I used to have this challenge until I noticed something Jeffery Way does repeatedly in his videos. He writes the pseudo-code of what he expects to happen as comments and then implements that pseudo-code. And the pseudo-code usually follows a "Given", " When", "Then" format. Given is the condition; When is the action that is performed (maybe by a user); Then is what should happen when that action is performed. E.g: Write a FizzBuzz program for numbers between 1-100. This breaks down to Given there is a list of numbers 1-100 When a number is divisible by 3 Then it should output/print Fizz. This has really helped me and I hope it will help you too. In addition to what has been said, you might want to check HackerRank and solve some algorithm challenges. Cheers |
Seanixking:One of the boys involved is the son of a Professor in Unilag. This case don tey because they wanted to bury it. I can assure you that it is true. |
WoodcrestMayor:Your friend should read up on DoorDash... That's all the validation he needs. |
Guitarlife:Baba, na you o. That you already the importance of Git and Github/Bitbucket/Github shows you are on the right track. Don't stop! |
Homguy:One of the great things about Python is its extensibility. So your best bet is to choose maybe 1 or 2 fields and stick to it. It is not wise for a beginner to try to learn too much at a time. When you're comfortable in one or two domains, you can then learn more as the need arises. If you want to go the software developer route, please do not ignore Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object Oriented Design (OOD). Azed1 mentioned the former; however, it goes hand-in-hand with the latter. Also, there's version control and testing (Test Driven Development et al). |
