Congrats to Amaechi; but the screening process has to be overhauled.
Firstly, the presidency should attach portfolios to the nominees in order for Senators to ask much more relevant questions with regards to the expertise of the nominee in that area.

Secondly, the screening should be done by relevant Senate committees, with the committees having the power to recommend a general Senate vote on the nominee; or to reject the nominee.
And electronic voting should be used to decide whether a nominee should be confirmed or otherwise. The voice-vote practice is inherently fraudulent and unreliable. The 'nays' could be more in number but not as loud as the 'ayes'.

Please be informed that Ameachi is the joker the PDP holds n r using it very well. If u listened very well u would hear them telling the APC senator "we voted 4 him not u". He was not told to take a bow after the APC senators finished their questions rather he was told to leave. So he could b recalled if they so wish.
Trust me PDP has jus tuned the game against the APC by calling for his screening thus making the 21days issue in the constitution null n void buying them time till Nov 5.
Let's wait n see the game play out.
