Nnamdi should do himself and his people a whole lot of good if he seeks other civil means of sustaining his agitation for fairness and equity in Nigeria and if it comes to parting ways with the other parts of the country, it should be centered on clear issues void of hatred because hate is like a mad dog that bites its owner first.

I don't know why people of Rivers, Niger Delta and Igbos inclusive are against the nomination of Rt Hon. Rotimi Ameachi. Where were they when he risked everything for Buhari, was it because he followed APC, I think so but if APC had lost the election he will have been mocked more than this. A strong protest from members of the All Progressive Congress in the Senate on Wednesday did not stop their colleague from Rivers State from submitting a petition against the nomination of Mr. Rotimi Amaechi as minister.

No sooner than the senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, George Sekibo, raised a point of order to submit the petition that the APC senators kicked by shouting, “no, no, noooooo.”

Despite the APC protest, Senate President Bukola Saraki asked Sekibo to submit the petition which he said was from one of his constituents.

During GEJ time, there were people actively canvassing for Biafra. If their voice is louder now, it behooves on the incumbent to find means to assuage their concerns. Whether such intervention would permanently address the issue surely is a different matter. But the issue of Biafra has been a recurring decimal for a long time. It didn't start because of the duara dullard!

It's not a must to live together. Nigeria can survive without Igbos/yoruba/hausa, and Igbos/yoruba/hausa can survive without Nigeria. We have been trying to make Nigeria work for over 55 years, and it's simply not working.

We simply have to try something new rather than hoping the same approach will someday work. I envision a near future where those, having similar ideologies and having agreed to live together, do so in their own nation without let or hindrance.

The sooner we start facing about this reality the better for all of. Else one day, pent up anger and frustration will come to the fore in like a volcanic eruption, and it might be too late to salvage anything of note.
