Yes, the "epistle" is a preemptive response to what you are apparently driving at which is completely at variance with logic.

In essence, it actually involves selfish interest. You don't have to beg to offer a helping hand, the more reason these bastards should keep their offers while we try to see how we pass through the problems they cause to the world.

I still don't understand how a human being will keep giving birth to children he can't take care of.

Imagine a 25 year old itinerant manicurist who barely makes 1k a day with 2 wives and 7 children. How can he feed, cloth and house them? Meanwhile, these are just the basic needs, let's not talk about schooling and adequate healthcare. The only available option is to hide under religion and start sending a 5 yr old to go fend for himself with the tag "almajiri".

This ungodly practice should not just be banned on papers, it should be very practical. And any parent that can't feed their families should be made to work in a govt farm, the proceed be used to feed and train the innocent children.

The whole thing is getting too nasty and very stupid. All these learned Islamic clerics need to rise up to the challenge and start condemning this unacceptable practice. Yes, unacceptable even in Islam and I stand to be corrected by any Islamic scholar.

No, the VCs dont pay cash, they pay through the bank. Essentially they don't need the BVN, just acc details for crediting their accounts are sufficient.

But what VCs dont do is to verify if a lecturer is on the full salary payroll of another fed university (assuming the VC is in a fed uni) because that is not his business.

Now, it is the business of the fed govt, since it is ultimately responsible for the payment of all fed workers and in an effort to prevent situations where one worker gets paid more than once, it needs the BVN to do that. A lecturer shuttling between state, fed and private varsities commits no offence, but between two fed unis with different salary accounts is an offence.

Some of these lecturers are also on full salary with other fed govt agencies. Unacceptable.

I did not mention President Buhari's name in my write up. Mr. President is clearly not in the equation here as a wartime leader. Boss Mustapha is the defacto leader of this effort.

If I as an individual receiving international news could conclude as early as Januaty that this was going to be an international calamity how coyld a whole government sit hack and invite Covid 19 to supper. Remember that it was the near riot of Nigerians that forced the first lockdown in Nigeria of our international borders.

This government supported by its fans (and you can go back and check, even on thus forum) were in total denial and labeled those who spoke out as alarmist, fake news peddlers not until the Italian was discovered THROUGH THE PRIVATE SECTOR to be the first case.

So what do we call all this....ignorance on the part of government towards Covid 19, or bravado or incompetence or mere pandering to the personal interests of a few. Whatever you call it, government saw war coming and invited it.

If your fingerprints have ever been used for BVN, it cant be used again. The machine will continue rejecting any further attempts.

Note, the machines are integrated to a single server which issues a BVN upon confirmation it was never used for same purpose.
