Not really. I had some experience like that, the girl was a youth copper so when she came my place we stayed till evening so when we went to drop her off to enter bus to the state she was serving is already late and no bus that day so we have to take her back to my place to sleep over so we slept together in the same bed but i didn't touch her till the following morning she left and after some weeks the girl was the one begging me that she want to come and stay some days with me and i accepted her invitation the rest is history. So u can sleep with a woman on the same bed without touching her infact it will give u more respect and the girl will trust u more.

Politics / Re: Nigerians Post Roads In The North In Response To Peter Obi's CNN Statement by Simplythebest: 3:45pm On Sep 18
You are 100% correct and most of the roads are federal government projects. I have an inlaw from Kaduna state. So you are correct
LibertyRep:
Sentiment aside, I think the core Northern states enjoy good inter and intra city roads unlike their counterparts in the South.

Politics / Re: Okada: Fear Grips Riders In Lagos As Statewide Ban Looms by Simplythebest: 3:07pm On Sep 18
Banning is good but the state government should try to fix the inner roads so that keke and small bus can be running cus most of the street are not good for keke and small bus example is Irawo those place is hell cus of bad road some keke that manage to operate there always fall and spoil due to bad road. Irawo along ikorodu road needs government help cus the people there are suffering so badly they will be trekking for more than 1 hour due to bad road and no keke or bus cus of the bad road.

Travel / Re: Abike Dabiri: Many Nigerians ‘Stranded’ In UAE Are Ex-Convicts by Simplythebest: 8:05am On Sep 16
This woman is talking trash honestly by saying all this rubbish :
Investigations also revealed that over 100 Nigerians, who had served various jail sentences (ranging from drugs to credit card frauds, robberies etc.) suddenly landed at the holding centres, demanding of the Nigerian Consulate in Dubai to ‘immediately bring them back’. Their voices have been the loudest.

She is far away from the truth cus there is no way u will serve all those jail terms in Dubai and after completing it Dubai will allow u to go back to the street is a big lie once u serve ur jail terms the next place u will find ur self is in Nigeria. I could remember during Covid-19 period so many African countries were helping her citizens to go back cus UAE gave Amensty then for people to go back but when u go to Nigeria Consulate in Dubai na problem they won't attend to u they treat their citizens like trash even when the announce in Nigeria that their is free flight which is totally lies cus people are paying for higher amount as flight ticket and the will be saying the flight is free in Nigeria.
Honestly this woman doesn't have the interest of her follow citizens at heart always quick to condemn and blame Nigerians for everything.

I have a friend that was arrested in Dubai for mistaken identity and he went to prison for 2 months and before the end if the 2 months he was ask to book his flight ticket to Nigeria so that day he was release from prison the next place he found his self is Nigeria.

I really understand alot of Nigerians do bad things in Dubai and still many Nigerians are also doing good and working legally so this woman should stop making it to look like every Nigerian in Dubai is doing bad thing is really bad. She should learn to protect the image of Nigerians not to spoil it more even India and Pakistan people are doing worst in Dubai but u hardly hear about it cus their government is always on top of the situation.

This woman is really a bad influence to Nigerians.

Ge0rgen0rahh:

If is those our wicked leaders thats steal millions of Naria and also have killed millions of people with their stolen pen they will get few years and even pardon. Honestly i really feel bad about this judgment. Few years in the prison would have been better for correction and repentant thats why is called correction center. May God help us
Fireandblood:
exactly, the Nigerian justice system is total bullshit. this is 10yrs at most. may the judge that made this sentence watch their own children's lives get destroyed. bastard

I understand but what happened to temper justice with mercy? The judgment is really harsh
xperiencelove:
All the quoted in your response are "robbery" not "armed robbery".
There is different gravity and punishment for robbery and armed robbery. A man can steal N50,000 biscuit without arms and can receive fine as punishment but a man who stole N50 biscuits with a Knife can be sentence to death.

Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 4:07pm On Sep 15
The judgement ia very harsh. Beside no one was even injured and no gun or chemical weapons

Punishment Under The Penal Code Act

The Penal Code Act seems to have taken robbery and armed robbery on a lighter view. Section 298 of the Penal Code Act provides the punishment for robbery of which its punishment may extend to 10 years imprisonment and fine. Where the robbery is committed on the highway within the hours of sunset and sunrise or between sunset and sunrise on a person who has slept or has lain down to sleep in the open air, the punishment may extend to 14 years imprisonment and a fine.

Xplorepd:

In form of robbery that arm is used even a knife is armed robbery used or not. a
And the maximum sentence is actually the death sentence. It is the law of the land. And the judgement is based on the judge discretion. I still feel this one is harsh though especially if they are first time offenders
Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 4:04pm On Sep 15
Did dey injure anyone or have gun or chemical weapons?

Robbery and Armed Robbery are not the same
Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 3:55pm On Sep 15
Pls also read this.

Punishment for Robbery

The offence of robbery is punishable with 14 years imprisonment. Attempted robbery is punishable with not more than 20 years imprisonment and not less than 14 years imprisonment. See section 403 or the Criminal Coe Act.

Punishment Under The Penal Code Act

The Penal Code Act seems to have taken robbery and armed robbery on a lighter view. Section 298 of the Penal Code Act provides the punishment for robbery of which its punishment may extend to 10 years imprisonment and fine. No one will ever support any crime and honestly this judgment is harsh and unfair. Honestly if am a lawyer i would have personally taken up this case and apple to it
Dukeolumidemans:

My thought exactly. Maximum of 20yrs and freed in 10yrs with good behavior. Or maybe it's judgement based on perceived tribe. It does not require much thinking to know that the judgment passed was too extreme giving the situation of the country. Just me thinking out loud anyways...
Crime is wrong. Stay away from crime.
Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 3:21pm On Sep 15
I understand ur point but the didn't use the weapons so we can't assume. To be honest life imprisonment is very harsh and unfair judgment.
Morphinne:

Emotionally, you may be right but do you think they would still not have used those weapons if they had faced resistance? Should we wait and Fold our arms until they start taking lives in the course of their robbery adventure? This and many more to come will help serve as deterrents to other aspiring criminals. Being lenient on people like these will only foster more and more criminality in our society. Just imagine Nigeria was still practicing the execution by firing squad capital punishment like we used to have it during the military era, the rate of armed robbery, ritual killings and many other social vices would have reduced significantly.
Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 3:09pm On Sep 15
If na our politicians that have kill millions of Nigerians with their pain and other means they will get 3 to 12 years imprisonment. Nigeria is really not working
clems88:
I actually read in between the lines several times to know if I skipped any thing. They didn't kill any one yet life imprisonment was the option. Nigeria lawyers are something else sad
Crime / Re: 2 Brothers Cry After Being Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Armed Robbery by Simplythebest: 3:02pm On Sep 15
This crime doesn't require life imprisonment
Zimmermann:
Ignorance in market overt grin grin grin
So the law will wait for the criminals to put their weapons to use on innocent ppl abi? Then after somebody must have needlessly lost his/her life to urchins, then the law will run to the party cheesy cheesy cheesy
