Al-Mourabitoun, a group based in northern Mali and made up mostly of Tuaregs and Arabs, posted a message on Twitter saying it was behind the attack on the Radisson Blu hotel, where hostages are still being held. An African Jihadist group affiliated with al Qaeda claimed responsibility on Friday for the attack and ongoing hostage-taking at a business hotel in the Malian capital Bamako. Barely a week after claiming responsibility for the
deadly attacks that claimed 132 lives in Paris,
France, and for the second time this week,
terrorist sect Islamic State has threatened to
blow up the office and residence of the President
of the United States, the White House.
This is contained in a new video footage titled
Paris before Rome released on Thursday, where a
turbaned man hints at potential suicide attacks
and car bombings on US soil.
An earlier video targeted at the US released by IS
earlier in the week showed the jihadists
threatening to blow up New York, showing images
of Times Square, Herald Square and Manhattan.
Yet another released on Monday showed the
terrorist saying the US capital, Washington DC
will be attacked the way Paris was attacked.
The jihadists warned other countries against the
example set by French President Francoise
Hollande and US President Barack Obama,
claiming they would blow up the latter’s official
residence because it contained false idols.
In a reaction to the video directed at New York,
the police in the state have confirmed seeing the
video, while affirming that they are vigilant.
However the police say there is no current
specific threat to the city at the moment.

In a statement issued on Thursday, November 19,
the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state said
it had unveiled an alleged plan by the state
governor, Rauf Aregbesola, to deploy 15,000
persons to Kogi state with the intent of rigging
the elections in favour of the All Progressives
Congress, Information Nigeria reports.
According to the party’s spokesperson, Diran
Odeyemi, the plot by the Osun state governor was
targeted at using voters from his state who are
APC members, to garner votes for the APC
candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu in Saturday’s
governorship election.

However, Governor Idris Wada of the state had
also accused the APC of trying to frustrate the
opposition by mounting a well-orchestrated
campaign of intimidation and harassment.
He had also said that the said move was
intended to cause jitters among the opposition in
order to gain an unfair advantage in Saturday’s
gubernatorial election in the state, Daily Post
reports.
Wada has also accused his Edo state counterpart,
Governor Adams Oshiomole, of sponsoring
cultists to disrupt tomorrow’s governorship
election in Kogi state.
Apart from all those accusations put forward by
the state governor, Odeyemi said: “Reports
reaching us indicate that 15,000 members of the
APC from Osun had been mobilized and would be
deployed to the different local government areas
in the state, particularly those where Prince Audu
is popular.
“We want the Inspector General of Police (IGP),
Solomon Arase, and the director general of the
Department of the State Security (DSS), Kifasi to
immediately act on this information and prevent
the move by Osun governor to storm Kogi with
APC members from Osun.
“We want to recall the arrest of some APC
members from Osun state led by the senior
special assistant to Governor Aregbesola on inter-
governmental affairs, Waheed Lawal, on the eve
of the 2014 Anambra state governorship poll by
the eagle-eyed men of DSS in Imo state enroute
Anambra state.”

Odeyemi in the statement further recalled the role
Aregbesola had allegedly in what he described the
“failed efforts” to unseat Governor Segun Mimiko
in 2002 Ondo governorship poll and his financial
efforts to return Kayode Fayemi to office as Ekiti
state governor for another term last year June.
Calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to
advise security agencies to remain neutral in the
discharge of their duties, Odeyemi added that the
gains recorded since the return of democracy in
1999 should not be allowed to be rubbished by a
few persons in power.
In its final admonition, the party asked its
members and all eligible voters to be at alert
during the governorship poll in Kogi on Saturday.
In a swift reaction to the previous allegations that
the presidency had been planning to rig the Kogi
state election, Malam Garba Shehu, the
president’s senior special assistant on media and
publicity, denied the claim, saying that it would
accept the outcome of the election.
Meanwhile, the IGP had disclosed on Tuesday,
November 17, that the police were already aware
of plans by some politicians in the state to dress
thugs in police uniform during the Kogi election
all in a bid to cause mayhem.

These are not the best of times for popular
Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu who recently
packed out of her matrimonial home over
allegation of infidelity on the part of her husband,
Adeniyi Johnson.
Few weeks after she left her husband’s house,
the actress was said to have moved on with
Ebony Film Boss and ex-lover Seun Egbegbe but
the actress denied the romance.
In a recent interview, Toyin Aimakhu said she’s
not dating Mr Egbegbe while the Ebony Film CEO
confirmed their romance to another media outlet.
In the wake of the conflicting interviews, Seun
Egbegbe who is reportedly funding Toyin
Aimakhu’s lavish lifestyle and her movies was
said to have challenged her on why she’s denying
their romance openly, this soon generated a hot
argument.
At a point, Toyin raised her voice on him, telling
him that she couldn’t grant his request because
she just quit her marriage and that people might
not see their romance in a good light if they
sensed she has quickly rushed into another
relationship.

us swore that the actress is not in her right
frame of mind now. She has suddenly stopped
picking her calls.

Egbegbe’s house in Ikeja Lagos confirmed the
report from neighbours who reportedly intervened
at the height of the attack.

Meet 41-year-old Pat Hardison, a former firefighter from Tennessee who lost most of his face when his fireman’s mask melted during a blaze in a mobile home in 2001. He said his disfigured features made his young children scream in terror – and he despaired of ever living a normal life again. But now Hardison has been given a new face – and new hope – thanks to the riskiest face transplant ever performed. The father of five had the face of 26-year-old David Rodebaugh grafted on to what remained of his own features in August this year after the young man died in a cycling crash. The surgery was so perilous that Hardison was told he had only a 50 per cent chance of surviving it. But three months later he is thriving and boasts: ‘Now I’m just an average guy.’ The amazing transformation was only made possible when Rodebaugh’s mom agreed to the transplant, noting that her son had always wanted to be a firefighter. Recalling the incident, he told ABC: ‘It was just a normal day. Just like every other fire…we went in looking for a lady.’ He entered the house with three other firefighters but the ceiling collapsed around him. ‘[My mask] was melting to my face,’ Hardison said. ‘My hose [was] already melted. He pulled the mask off, held his breath and closed his eyes, which doctors say saved his sight and prevented smoke from damaging his throat and lungs. The former firefighter spent 63 days in hospital and was given the semblance of a face with flesh taken from his thighs. He had lost his ears, lips, most of his nose and virtually all of his eyelid tissue. Because of this, he was unable to see properly. When he returned home, he recalled how his three young children, Alison, six, Dalton, three and Averi, two, were terrified of him. ‘My kids were scared of me. You can’t blame them. They’re young kids.’He playfully told them and other curious children that he had fought a bear but they ‘ran screaming and crying when they saw me. There are things worse than dying. Even though he had two more children, Braden and Cullen after the accident, the impact of his accident put a huge strain on his family life and after ten years of marriage, he and his wife Chrissi divorced. More than 100 doctors, nurses, technical and support staff took part in the 26-hour operation, conducted in mid-August at the NYU Langone Medical Center.

The family members of the detained Radio Biafra
director Nnamdi Kanu joined a protest organised
by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOD) in
Umuahia, the capital of Abia state.

The protestors started from Port Harcourt on
November 15 with IPOD activists walking to Aba
and then Umuahia. As they trekked to Aba, the
number increased.
On getting to Ubakala, close to Umuahia, the
group was stopped by security personnel who
attempted to disperse them but failed.
The protesters passed the night at Ubakala,
where they were joined by Kanu’s mother, Ugo
Eze Sally Nnenne Kanu, and sister, Princess
Chichi Kanu, at 5.30am yesterday.

Lolo Kanu, the mother of the detained leader with
other members of the royal family, joined the
activists in Umuahia city, the home town of
Nnamdi Kanu.
Trekking together with the Biafra supporters, she
continuously called for the release of her son who
is still being held by the DSS.
However, Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia
state, cautioned the pro-Biafra protestors seeking
the release of their leader and the creation of
Biafra state against disrupting the peace in the
state capital.
The activists paraded through the main streets of
the city under the watch of security operatives
who followed them from place to place. They
went to Isi Court, in Umuahia South, Old Umuahia
Road, Aba Road, Umuwaya Road, Isi Gate, Bende
Road, Enugu Road and Ama Hausa, among other
places.
Before dispersing, the pro-Biafra agitators said
they would meet again to continue the protest,
which is expected to last for three days
IPOD supporters have been protesting in main
cities in the south-east and south-south
demanding Kanu’s immediate release. He was
arrested in October.
President Muhammadu Buhari has finally reacted
to the pro-Biafra protests, stating that Nigeria
remains an indivisible nation with the citizens
pushing for a common interest.

It is uncommon for women to totally shave their

shaved by her in-laws in a stage play that was
