PunkyVeer:
Hmmm

The way I see it, the girl's relationship with her "boyfriend" is clearly undefined aka casual thang, which automatically puts her in fair play zone imo. Three years is a very long time not to know where you stand with somebody & I don't blame her for trying to find a stand with someone else because she can't be stuck in limbo forever. It doesn't seem like she & her boyfriend are on the same page, I doubt they're even on the same book, probably on different shelves altogether grin

She's fair game. Your friend can go ahead as far as I'm concerned because it doesn't seem like the BF is making any claims if she's still in the dark about where they're heading as a couple. However, your friend better have good intentions of boning it to own it & not waste three more years of her life in a "whatever" type of relationship. My rusty 2c.
thank u so much
RomanceMature Advice Needed Please by simtosul(op): 8:56am On Nov 12, 2015
A friend of mine asked me for an advice on what he should do. He met a lady on one of the social site and they exchanged contact and started chatting and calling each other. He initially has the intention of dating her in the first place but, he was discouraged to tell her his mind becasue the lady told him he has a boyfriend when they were chatting. But recently the lady requested to see him in physical. They both later fixed a date that they will meet and finally met. The lady cooked in his house and both of them ate even in the same plate. They watched movies and gist throughout her stay. When she was about going he asked her about her boyfriend but, she felt reluctant to answer. She later replied him that ‘he is fine’. He jokingly asked when they are going to get married and she told him the guy is yet to propose. According to her they have been dating for 3 years but the guy is yet to define the relationship with her. To my friend biggest surprise he asked to see the picture of her boyfriend, on showing him her boyfriend was his colleague at work and hold her that he knows her boyfriend that they work with same company, but not working in the same state. My friend really has feelings for her and he said the way the girl carried herself when she visited him seems like she likes him too but shy of expressing herself. The question now is should my friend woo this lady or just remain as friend since his colleague is her boyfriend? Thanks for your contribution
Romance(Graphic pics) she was scarred by an accident. what he did was so touching by simtosul(op): 10:29pm On Nov 10, 2015
Reflect for a second, what are the aspects of your partner or the love of your life that attracts you the most? Is it their eyes that stare at you as if you’re the only one they see? Is it their smile, so sweet playful or pure? Is it their perfect skin, smooth and glowing? Is it their lovely face and features? Or their hot perfect body? But take away all these qualities and you are left only with the very essence or core personality of your partner to admire, would you still love them? Much as we hate to admit it, somehow the physical appearance has become a huge determining factor for attraction and love. With the advent of social media where we easily gauge a person’s attractiveness by their photos and physical appearance, sometimes people don’t look past the physical to know people’s personality anymore. We are into physical attraction first, let personality follow suit. The man proves that true love does not rely on physical aspects. As reported by Kapook, a Thai news outlet, the lady works in a factory with her brother, an accident happened and they got splashed with acid that disfigured them. The lady has been blind for over five years now since the incident. She was quoted as saying in Thai “I felt sad, angry even. But I was lucky I still have my husband”. Despite the scars and imperfections, he still takes care and loves his girl. The woman lost her eyes and eyesight. She also had her nose and mouth melted off her face. The injuries continue on to her body as can be seen by her scarred neck, arms and thighs. Kudos to the lovely couple who shows us that true love does not just see, but feels. It accepts and doesn’t judge. May we all find a love that can last us our lifetimes, even if beauty fades away, or that hot body of our partners turn saggy or wrinkly due to age. Let us celebrate unconditional, long-lasting love. Let us love in a way that will last forever.

PoliticsYour Inability To Govern Nigeria Is Clear, Resign Now – PDP To Buhari by simtosul(op): 2:14pm On Nov 06, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to resign as the country’s President for admitting that the nation is broke. The party said the comment was a clear manifestation of inability to lead the country. PDP described Buhari’s lamentation as “annoying”, wondering why he was looking for excuses after boasting to the whole world that he will fix Nigeria. At a press conference yesterday by PDP publicity secretary in Edo state, Chris Nehikhareto, the party challenged Buhari to publish account balances of all transactions by previous PDP led government under former President Goodluck Jonathan and the APC led government under him since assumption of office. “President Buhari should show Nigerians the account balances and how much money he met in the coffers of the federal government since he came in,” he said. “He has not shown anybody the accounts balance as at today. If he says the government is broke and he cannot manage it he should resign and handover power to someone who has responsibility and can manage the economy better. “The lamentation of Mr. President and his APC government is becoming annoying and I don’t think we should tolerate any more lamentation. They fought tooth and nail to take over government and now they have government, let them deal with it”, he stated. (Source: DAILY POST )

thanks for the update but I wanted to clarify something that I read on punch newspaper concerning the delay in payment. CrimeAnti Boko Haram Raids Set To Begin by simtosul(op): 3:46am On Nov 06, 2015
UN West Africa Representative, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, says a regional security operation against Boko Haram in West Africa is due to start at the end of the rainy season in a bid to put an end to the militants’ offensive in the region. According to Mr Chambas, the expected joint raids would adapt to the changing tactics of the enemy. “The rainy season is always an opportunity for terrorist groups and extremist movements like that to hide in the forests to perpetrate the atrocities they commit in the Sahara, Sahel and Savanah zone. “When the rainy season is over, it makes the movement of the military much easier and we expect to see a very aggressive approach against Boko Haram this coming dry season,” he said. Nigerian and Chadian forces early in 2015, forced the militant group which has sworn allegiance to Islamic State, to cede large swathes of territory in northern Nigeria.

PoliticsEdo Moves To Recover $31m From Igbinedion by simtosul(op): 6:35am On Nov 05, 2015
The Edo State Government on Wednesday said that it had begun moves to recover $31m which it said was allegedly “fraudulently taken” from the government coffers, during the administration of former Governor Lucky Igbinedion. According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Peter Okhiria, on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Louis Odion, disclosed this at the end of the State Executive Council meeting. He also said that the state government would commence a legal action against the former governor’s administration, in order to recover what had been taken from the government coffers. The commissioner said, “There is the issue of a fraud that was discovered while looking into our books. We found that $31m was fraudulently taken from the state coffers under the administration of Chief Lucky Igbinedion. The comrade governor has directed the Attorney- General to commence a legal action in that direction. “So, in the coming days, the state government will take a legal action to ensure that what was stolen from the Edo State Government is recovered. When you convert $31m to naira, it fetches you a whooping N7bn. You can imagine what N7bn will do in improving the human condition in Edo State.” The commissioner praised some landlords and companies in the state for their compliance with the payment of the land use charge. Also speaking, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Abdul Oroh, alleged that the $31m was allegedly used to fund a cement firm in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state. Oroh said, “As the money was withdrawn, the construction of the company started and all the major structures were in place, 90 per cent completed, machines were installed but there was no other contribution from any other source for the construction and procurement of these equipment. So, everything invested in that company came from the Edo State Government.” He also accused the Igbinedion administration of allegedly privatising the state fruit juice processing company at a “giveaway” price. “The fruit juice processing company in Ehor was established in 2001 by the Lucky Igbinedion’s administration. The cost of establishing that company was N368,458,195 invested in this company by the Edo State Government. The company was owned 100 per cent by the Edo State Government. The materials for the company were imported from England from a company at a sum of £310,000,” he said. Oroh added, “The company was now sold including the land and the three hectares pineapple farm which was also developed by the Ministry of Agriculture for N283.8m. The company was completed and there was a test- run. There was no reason to privatise it and it was sold out at a giveaway price which only could have been influenced by criminal intentions.’’ Efforts to get the comments of the former governor failed but a source close to him said Igbinedion would react to the allegations later.

CareerRecession: Construction Firms Sack 65,000 Workers by simtosul(op): 6:15am On Nov 05, 2015
Construction firms operating in Nigeria, under the auspices of Federation of Construction Industries (FOCI), yesterday disclosed that they have retrenchment 65,000 of their over 85,000 workforce, following their inability to meet up with their obligations to them.

This they blamed on the recession that has hit the sector, following debt of over N600billion owed its members by the federal, state and local governments.

FOCI president, Solomon Ogunbusola, while addressing journalists in Abuja, yesterday, called on the federal government to wade in and save the sector from total collapse.

He lamented that no capital fund had been paid to any of the over 135 construction firms who are members of FOCI since August 2014, even though some of the jobs for which his members were being owed, had been completed and handed over to the government, adding that a letter written to President Muhammadu Buhari on September 17, 2015, on the issue had yet to be responded to.

According to him, as a result of the unpaid debts, some firms that took bank loans to execute the jobs for which they were being owed had been saddled with the challenge of having interest accrue on the loans.

“Some of us took loans which we have not been able to pay back and interest is accumulating on the loans daily. This isn’t helping us and that is why we want the government to look into this issue to see how the situation can be salvaged,” he said.

Ogunbusola advised the federal government to offset the backlog of payment for some of the certified jobs to enable contractors go back to work especially as they are going into the dry season when they would be able to work without hindrances from the rain.

He further urged the government to do away with the old practice of frivolous award of contracts without budgetary allocation, as well as “political award of contracts” to firms without the requisite manpower and equipment to handle the jobs.

PoliticsTribunal Verdict: Wike Heads For Appeal Court by simtosul(op): 6:06am On Nov 05, 2015
Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has appealed against the judgement of the state election petitions tribunal that sacked him from office. The governor in the appeal is asking the the Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division to set aside the judgement of the tribunal which nullified his election on the 24th of October 2015. In a notice of appeal dated November 3, 2015 and filed on behalf of the governor by his counsel, Mr Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, the governor established 26 grounds of appeal wherein he raised complaint against the entire judgement of the lower tribunal. In the appeal, Governor Wike joined the Rivers State APC governorship candidate, Mr Dakuku Peterside, All Progressives Congress, APC, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the PDP as respondents. He sought an order of the Court of Appeal allowing his appeal and an order of the court setting aside the judgement of the tribunal. He further urged the Court of Appeal to make an “order striking out or dismissing the election petition filed on 3rd May 2015 by Mr Dakuku Peterside and the APC as petitioners at the tribunal “ Governor Wike among other grounds noted that the tribunal erred in law when it relied on hearsay and inadmissible evidence to nullify his election. He added that the finding and conclusion of the tribunal was not supported by evidence before the court.

9. Ruby Gyang/ Jesse Jags

We are happy! Jagz nation boss, Jesse Jags has since reconciled with his baby mama, Ruby Gyang. The two music stars had a daughter together seven years ago.

The two met way back in Jos and the rest, as they say, is history. We hope their love stays strong to bring them together under one roof as man and wife.

10. Nadia Buari/ Jim Iyke

We hate to say this, but the chances of these Nollywood icons getting married some day are very, very slim.

Nadia Buari is now a proud mother of twin girls, while Jim is also father to a cute baby boy with his 23-year-old Lithuanian girlfriend, Dana Kinduyte, who reportedly lives in Atlanta.

They were such a cute couple and also spotted at events while their relationship lasted. They would have made a very remarkable celebrity couple of recent time.

5. Ini Edo/ Mike Godson

The alleged secret romance between Ini Edo and a budding actor, Mike Godson, became the talk of town shortly after the pictures of the stars ruffling bed sheets went viral.

Although they both denied it with claims that the pictures were from movie scenes, but city wags are of the opinion that until the said movie is released, their defence remain null and void.

It was later revealed that the heat on both parties were too much, which allegedly forced them to part ways.

6. Tania Omotayo/ Wizkid

Wizkid and Tania Omotayo reportedly started dating in 2012, but they have been off and on.

On Friday, August 14, 2015 Wizkid openly declared his affection for American rapper, Dej Loaf, which made his fans to ask the place of Tania Omotayo in his life.

But we learnt both are having their groves back and no doubt, Wizkid still has some years before considering marriage, but we know Tania would be a good choice because she has been tolerating.

7. Kehinde Bankole/Tope Tedela

The handsome budding actor, Tope Tedela, is a simple ladies’ man. News broke that he was in love with fellow actor, Kehinde Bankole, but he denied the speculations.

Tope had stressed that Kehinde is just a colleague and nothing more as against the romance stories.

Kehinde on her part also dissociated herself with any romantic moment with Tedela. But the fact that they are both some young and single makes the match-making easy. We would love to see them pronounced man and wife someday.

8. Kate Henshaw/JJC

Top rated actress, Kate Henshaw played the love interest in JJC Skillz new video for ‘See Us Now‘. The two acted as lovers in the video. The ‘couple’ really loved-up making it look so real! That was the second time Kate and JJC will work together on a music video. She appeared in his 2012 ‘African Skank’ video.

JJC is a single baby daddy while Kate is a divorced mother of one, so what stops them from taking their ‘video relationship’ farther?

Celebrities10 Celebs Rumoured To Be Lovers by simtosul(op): 5:32am On Nov 04, 2015
Over the weekend, two popular celebrities in Nigeria, Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro officially became husband and wife. Indeed, their union, which started on a controversial note, was admired and appreciated by their fans and most of their colleagues in the entertainment industry.

What started as a speculation has ended as a reality. These are the Nigerian celebrities some fans would love to end up as husband and wife.

1. Rita Dominic/ Femi Jacobs

“Love is jumping when your partner’s favourite club scores a goal. I feel grateful, thankful and excited as well. Yes I am dating someone and I am in a happy place. I’m good,” those were the words of Rita in an interview with Blanck magazine where she subtly confirmed being in a relationship.

The actress however refused to disclose who she is has been seeing secretly in recent times. Femi Jacobs and Rita acted in the ‘Meeting’ movie, but since then, there have been rumours of love affair between them. None of them has confirmed or deny this rumour.

2. Genevieve Nnaji/ D’Banj

In 2010, Genevieve Nnaji, one of Nigeria's most notable actresses, made a grand appearance in D’banj’s ‘Fall In Love’ video. This fuelled a romance tale between the two bigwigs of the Nigerian showbiz scene especially because of a ‘passionate’ they both had at the end of the music video.

Even D’Banj’s former ‘boss’, JJC, also known as Mr Skillz, reportedly said in an interview years ago that there was indeed a love flame burning between the two.

"Let’s go this way, I will ignore Genevieve, she is (a) beauty, she is amazing but I don’t want to share my brother’s ex, it’s very controversial for that reason its better I’m the first taker. She loved him like crazy but dude got other plans," the singer had said on a radio show a time ago.

Genevieve is a 35 with a teenage daughter, while D’banj is 34.

3. Freda Francis/Iyanya

It is no longer a rumour that Iyanya is dating Freda for almost a year now. Although the ‘Mr Oreo’ crooner has kept the relationship on a low-key following the messy end of his relationship with Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, he still attends public functions with the woman after his heart.

4. Ken Erics/ Rachael Okonkwo

Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Rachael Okonkwo, isn’t a household name yet, but the fair-skinned thespian has all the trappings of a big star in the making: beauty, brains and the talent.

It was speculated that the ‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka’ star has been ruffling bed sheets with Ken Erics, a famous actor in Nigeria.

The rumour spurred after some cosy pictures of the two in a compromising position surfaced online. It was more like their pre-wedding photos, but their fans took it like something more than normal was going on between them.

PoliticsBen Murray-bruce Warns Buhari To Stop Blame Game by simtosul(op): 4:40pm On Nov 02, 2015
If there is one politician who has been very vocal
recently, then that would be Ben Murray-Bruce, a
Senator from Bayelsa State in the National

The Silverbird Group boss have been speaking on
issues of national importance lately though he
has been bashed sometimes for his views, but
that has not stopped him in anyway.
He is quick to air his views on social media,
especially on Twitter, which has made some
people to dub him a Twitter Senator.
He recently vented his anger on the slow pace of
work by this present administrating.
Murray-Bruce said, “You can only blame your
predecessor for your problems for so long. After
six months, so long becomes too long! six
months is 1/8 of a four year tenure. If you are
still blaming your predecessor after six months,
when are you going to ever deliver the goods?
Blaming others is a sign of helplessness. A leader
should not blame. He must take responsibility for
leading us out of troubled waters.”
He also urged advisers of President Muhammadu
Buhari to make hay while the sun shines and not
“make blame while the sun shines.”
The lawmaker also advised his critics to “go
ahead and attack me, I don't mind. I am not the
President or a Governor. I'm just a Nigerian who

PoliticsGodsday Orubebe In CCT Corruption Net Over N70M Contract Bribe by simtosul(op): 2:09pm On Nov 02, 2015
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja today,
ex-Naija Delta Minister Godsday Orubebe, who is
being charged to the Code of Conduct Tribunal,
declared that he had never demanded and
collected a bribe throughout his six-year sojourn
as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He said:
“I was served with Code of Conduct Tribunal
summons on Friday last week and the paper,
which I personally signed and collected stated
that I was expected to appear before them on
November the ninth.
“I was taken aback by the news that I had
already been arraigned. This tells me that it is an
issue of witch hunt which is not good for this
country. It is not good to take me to the public
court before being tried.
“The issues contained in the summons are that I
took N50 million bribe from one of the
contractors who handled a project for the ministry
of Niger Delta and another N20 million from the
same contractor as well as not declaring my plots
of land in Asokoro and Kyame districts of Abuja.”

Nigerian Army has released 182 Boko Haram suspects from Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri, Borno state.

Army Spokesman, Colonel SK Usman, revealed that the “joint intelligence community investigated and authorized” the release of these prisoners. He added that the release was part of Nigeria’s National Army Day, which was held on July 6th to commemorate the first shots of Nigeria’s Civil War at Garaken, Cross Rivers State.

The prisoners were reportedly released to the governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima.

According to Sahara reporters, 40 boys, 24 women, 100 adult men and 18 children were among those released today.

In addition to the prisoner release, Colonel Usman said that the Army was celebrating the opening of a new military center, providing two days of free medical treatment for Borno State residents, and awarding Purple Heart and Operation Zaman Lafiya medals to soldiers fighting Boko Haram. All these events were tied to Nigeria’s National Army Day.

Meanwhile, the military had confirmed that more people detained for alleged links with the Boko Haram sect will be released after being cleared by its joint intelligence cell.

Sometimes last month, the Nigerian army handed over four foreigners and 124 Nigerians detained in connection with the Boko Haram terrorist group to Kashim Shettima, the governor of Borno state.

CrimeExplosive! New Boko Haram Video Rebuke Military Victory Claims by simtosul(op): 7:05pm On Oct 27, 2015
Whose report should we believed?
An explosive 25 minute video accredited to the
indefinable Boko Haram leader, Sheikh Abubakar
Shekau, has refuted the claims of the nation’s
military that it made tremendous gains in the
fight to defeat the terror group in Nigeria’s
Northeast.
The video which was a mixture with Arabic and
Hausa languages said the military was untruthful
when they give information about confiscating
the territories.
“The military lied when it said they have
confiscated our arms and that we have been
chased out of our territories, or that we are in
disarray. We are alive. I am alive. This is my voice,
more audible than it was before,” Shekau
declared.
The leader also described President Muhammadu
Buhari as a liar staged to deceive Nigerians.
“Buhari is a liar and has deceived Nigerians. The
Army spokesman is also lying. He and his foot
soldiers always run whenever we come face to
face with them at the battle grounds,” and he
also mocked the president by saying: “Buhari,
you once claimed that you will crush us in three
months. How can you crush us?”
But the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant
General Tukur Buratai, had over the weekend said
“the military has recovered all territories
previously under the terrorist control.”
