A Lecturer in Kwara state College of Education, Oro, Mr Kayode Odeyemi has appealed to the Kwara state government to pay workers salary. He uploaded his picture while working as labourer in a building construction site to earn a paltry N1,500 to cater for his family. Mr Kayode said the hardship many lecturers are going through as a result of the non payment of salaries is unbearable.
He said he has no option than to do what he’s doing so as to be able to feed. Yet governors of these states are still going about with big jeeps and long convoy? Nawao!

About 500 former militants under the
Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP)
have threatened to unleash mayhem in the
Niger Delta region over the non-payment of
their three-month allowances by the
amnesty office.
Ex-militants protesting
The Punch reports that the angry ex-militants
stated that they would breach the peace in the
region if Brigadier General Paul Boroh, the
coordinator of the PAP, fails to pay them after five
days.
Speaking after a meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa
state, on Monday, October 26, the former
militants warned that they would begin their
showdown by blocking the East-West Road, which
is a major gateway to the South-South.
They said that Boro had paid them two out of
their five-month outstanding allowances.
According to the ex-militants, their names were
excluded from the list when the PAP coordinator
paid the three-month outstanding allowances.
Bipelede Enere, one of the concerned ex-
militants, said that in the last two weeks some of
ex-militants in the third phase were paid their
three-month allowances. However, he added that
over 500 of them did not receive their money.
“They have not told us the reason why we have
not been paid. As I speak with you, I have not
been paid my three-month allowances but when
they paid the two-month allowances some
months ago, we received the money.
“We don’t want them to push us to the point
where we would take drastic action that would
make people feel we want to fight against the
state. That is why we are using this medium to
appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to advise
the leadership of the amnesty programme to pay
us our money,” he said.
On Tuesday, October 20, a group of Niger Delta
ex-militants took to the streets of Abuja
protesting against an alleged fraud within the
management of the amnesty programme.
They accused the handlers of the programme,
specifically one Peter Evah, of embezzling over
N405 million the federal government had released
for them.
Meanwhile, the government has denied owing the
former Niger Delta agitators.
According to the amnesty office, all monthly
payments to ex-militants under the programme
were up to date.

The US Navy is worried that Russia might be
planning to cut the undersea cables that carry
95% of internet traffic.
The presence of Russian submarines and spy
ships near most of the undersea cables carrying
majority of global Internet communications has
U.S. officials concerned that Russia could be
planning to sever the lines in periods of conflict,
the New York Times reported on Sunday.
Sources say already there was no evidence of
cable cutting but that the concerns reflected
increased wariness among U.S. and allied officials
over growing Russian military activity around the
world.
The Times quoted naval commanders and
intelligence officials as saying they were
monitoring significantly greater Russian activity
along the cables’ known routes from the North
Sea to Northeast Asia and waters closer to the
United States.
“It would be a concern to hear any country was
tampering with communication cables; however,
due to the classified nature of submarine
operations, we do not discuss specifics,” U.S.
Navy spokesman Commander William Marks told
the Times.
Last month, the United States closely monitored
the Russian spy ship Yantar, which equipped with
two self-propelled deep-sea submersible craft,
cruised off the U.S. East Coast toward Cuba,
where one cable lands near the U.S. naval base at
Guantanamo Bay, according to the Times.
Naval officials said the ship and the submersible
craft were capable of cutting cables several miles
(km) deep beneath the sea.
The cables carried more than $10trillion daily in
global business and more than 95% of daily
communications.

Some months ago, Nollywood comic actor, John
Okafor, otherwise known as Mr Ibu, decried the
rise of same sex affair among Nollywood
practitioners.
The actor, who is against this act, says those
involved in it do not even bother to approach him
because of his look.
He told Vanguard that instead of men harassing
women in Nollywood, men now harass men and
women to women.
“There is no harassment as I speak to you; the

Three things to think about:

1. The wedding. Will you have a wedding conducted by a religious figure or more than one, representing both yours and his faith? Will you do something completely out of the box like choose a religion neither of you belongs to, but you both admire?
2. Having and raising children. Ask the hard, specific questions, like whether or not you will want the child to go to church or mosque and later allow the child to decide which one to choose? You will save yourself a lot of time and energy by doing this now. If things get heated, don’t panic. Do seek counseling from a professional or a member of the clergy.
3. The rest of the family. How will you handle those members of the families who may object to your marrying or dating someone outside your faith? How will you handle a relative who is prejudiced? The more prepared you are the less likely a family fight will harm your relationship.

Three important things you shouldn't do:
1. Don’t criticize another religion. If you don’t agree with the practice of kneeling in worship, or saying prayers, then don’t – but be quiet about it, and allow other people to practice their religion as they normally do.
2. Don’t disrespect another religion. Some places of worship have a dress code that is designed to show respect. It will usually involve covering parts of your body from a bare midriff to your bare arms. If you’re visiting a place of worship that you’ve never visited before , dress up a little in a conservative way.
3. Don’t experience another person’s reticence to join in as rejection of your faith. Be tolerant if your date or spouse is not ready to dive into your religion so fast. It takes time for some people to adjust. Don't expect people to have the same ability to adjust that you do to embrace new things and vice versa. Be prepared for them to want to celebrate the cultural differences quicker than the religious differences.

and was looking for loan to import taxis from
the UK. After he was made the minister, he
seized landed properties that belonged to

11. Tunde Fashola – He is the poster boy of
Tinubu. Boht of them looted Lagos dried and
left it in debt of about N1 billion. Fashola,
among other thing built his personal website
for N78 million, drilled borehole for over N100
million per each and built a kilometre road for
N1 billion. He stole $900 million from
2007-2015. He’ll soon be a minister to
continue the looting.
12. Chubike Rotimi Amaechi – From 2007
to 2015, he stole $700 million and $150
million from that money was used to sponsor
Buhari and APC.
13. Atiku Abubakar – When he as asked by
our reporter how he made his money, he
simply said “he was always at the right place
at the right time.” Atiku is an astute
businessman, but through shady deals, he
stole $500 million from 1999-2007.
14. James Ibori – He stole $150 million from
1999-2007 as governor of Delta State. He’s
serving his term for money laundering in the
UK.
15. Amina Mohammed – This woman was
the founder of Afri-Project Consortium (APC)
that was in charge of all PTF Projects during
Abacha’s regime. About $125 million was
stolen from PTF accounts from 1994-1998.
Buhari has just nominated the same woman
as a minister to continue to stealing.
16. DSP Alamieyeseigha – He stole $120
million and was arrested for money
laundering. He pleaded guilty and long
served his term.
17. Sule Lamido – He stole $110 million
between 2007-2015 and out of that amount,
$50 million was found in his sons’ bank
accounts. He was arrested and detained for
days together with his sons.
18. Rabui Kwankwaso – He stole $100
million as a governor of Kano State. EFCC has
arrested many of his aides and they are
“singing” how they siphoned the money
19. Kashium Shettima – this governor has
stolen about $80 million and still counting.
20. Rauf Aregbesola – he has milked Osun
State to the tune of $60 million.
21. Kayode Fayemi – this former governor

She added: “Oluomo has told us to leave everything in the hands of policemen; if not for this there should be chaos in Oshodi by now. We want the police to carry out their investigation quickly and anyone who has a hand in my brother’s death must be prosecuted.” “I want to also use this medium to appeal to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to do everything within his power to make sure normalcy returns to Oshodi; we want to see a peaceful Oshodi that would be free of crimes.” Bode Egbeleye, who described the late Mamok as his “area brother”, and prayed for the repose of his soul.
