leave this thing. Danilo made two mistakes. Madrid fans already started calling for his head. In this transfer market 27 million for him is a normal price range, you don't expect Madrid to sell danilo for 15 million.

Moses was converted to a wb and he did well. much more will be achieved on danilo who is already a natural full back when he is given the necessary training. The few chances danilo got last season did he perform terribly? No.
Danilo started and played EVERY SINGLE DEFEAT of Madrid in 2015-2016 season. last season he was marginally better but woeful nonetheless. Well, may Chelshit buy am, maybe Conte go transform to a top defender.

Don't mind him you can't do that in England that is why they have limited trophy success compared to those in Germany and Spain. Flopdiola is a good testament of that analogy
The worst be say talents from La Liga go to Barca and Madrid for cheap prices, but for EPL? Any average Joe you touch, na from £50m upwards. Very tiring.

Chelsea will rather sell Hazard to Madrid than Man Utd or City.

Arsenal will rather sell Sanchez to Madrid than Chelsea.

Suarez, Bale, Modric and Co would rather be sold to other leagues than opposition clubs in EPL.

This helps make Madrid and Co the best out there. Well, life's not fair so I gats live with it.

trophies are not the only criteria for how big a club is.
Yes. In fact many criteria are involved including some of them which has been listed up there. That's why I said "as for me". Meaning personal opinion. Trophies alone can't be used because they're team with more trophies than United but they're not bigger than us. Present success alone doesn't cut it because they're teams that have won more trophies than us in the last 3 years but are not bigger than us. Many things are involved but for consistency over the years in terms of wealth, star footballers, global appeal, prestige, trophies, etc., Madrid is the biggest for me.

Even our crown jewels like Beckham and CR7 all left for Madrid. Many players will choose Madrid ahead of United more than those that will choose United over Madrid.

The competition of EPL doesn't help too in the sense that premier league rivals would rather sell to Barca or Madrid first than to other top EPL teams in other not to strengthen them. So Madrid end up getting top talents from both their leagues and outside.

For me, Madrid is bigger than Manchester United. Not just for this year but for many years. Currently, even Barcelona is bigger than United but we're bigger than them in the time past. Barcelona for the last 8 years have achieved unlimited success to be behind only Madrid as the second biggest team in the world. US being richer than Barca doesn't make us the bigger team PRESENTLY. but Depending on future success, we can still surpass them.

The fact that La Liga have only 2 major teams helps Madrid and Barca's course, though.

Guardiola is trading his old full backs and looking for younger ones. I have said that as far back as last season

Man City are reducing the age of the team.

Jesus Navas for Bernado Silva
Cabalero for Ederson

2 players over 30 for 2 players under 25
Guardiola wanted sign Alves despite his old age but PSG offered more tempting wage and longer contract (2 years) than City and Alves ditched City for PSG. Guardiola sold those players because they're not good enough not coz of their age excuse you're bringing up. If it's coz of their age Guardiola wouldn't thought of signing him.

Even as someone that loves it when Chelshit loses, I wouldn't wish Danilo on my rival club. It seems to me that you don't watch Madrid matches or you don know jot about this monumental Brazilian flop called Danilo. Even at that, don't you read news? Decent price? Madrid bought the flop at €31.7m and now are reportedly selling to Chelshit at £27m. Compare to the current transfer market Madrid are recouping all their waste on that flop instead of losing money on a flop. And you feel it's decent? LOL. The only way Danilo will excel at Chelshit is if Conte weaves his legendary magic on him, if not he'll be a colossal waste. Just read these links below and if they don't convince you about Danilo then nothing will.

James to Bayern is fuckin cheap and a nice deal. If United could have gotten him that cheaply, I'd have supported his purchase when the fake rumors were circulating. But we know if United shows interest foolish Madrid will be looking to fleece us. Plus his position is not one we desperately need to bolster, so no need going for him.

James to play for Bayern for a fee of 10M. After 2yrs when the market go don red more. Bayern CAN buy for 35M

Meaning in 2019, you can buy a player of James stature for a total of 45M. EUROS thats less than 40M pounds.

Think of the caliber of players going for less than 40M currently not to talk of in 2yrs time.

James is a top talent, forget that he is chopping bench in Madrid, His problem was that he wanted a free role in a team that has Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema who contribute little defensively. Play James in a team without much defensive responsibilities and he is a beast

check the price other Barca/Madrid outcasts like Sanchez, Ozil, Dimaria, Higuain etc were sold for and now James for a Max of 45M EUROS
No, you're not getting the main message in my post. Of course I'm impressed at how ridiculously cheap Bayern got James for. Bayern is without a doubt the best in the game of negotiating for players. I wish we can be this prudent in transactions. James is good player with undeniable talent. I was against his purchase because I knew he'll be costly immediately United shows interest. His talent is not in doubt, but Madrid are wicked and there's no need of going for him when we have other positions to bolster.

What I was trying to point out is that Madrid are realising that English clubs are now much wiser when dealing with them. Because of the high cost of their players English teams didn't bother to go for him and that's why Bayern got him so cheaply because there's no how any club will drop the 70m and Madrid will foolishly dash him out to Bayern. No top club send am and it's because of Madrid's wickedness. They should hold on to their L, and I'm glad Bayern are getting that cheaply. Next time, they'll think twice before over-valuing their players. I wish Chelsea will abandon Morata for Aubameyang so Madrid will get stuck with Morata and miss out on Mbappe, or sell Morata cheaply to make room for Mbappe. grin

Top notch business we got James without having to pay 80M or 60M.

The James Rodriguez deal:
€10m for a 2-year loan + Option to buy in 2019 for €35.2m
No team would've paid such an amount (80m) for a benchwarmer, hence why teams weren't clamouring for his signature. Madrid finally grew sense. They would've stuck with their usual foolish high prices and watch him leave for free when no team shows interest.

Repeatedly 'pissing' in Chelsea's face should not be Mourinho's main purpose.

Chelsea is like that garrulous younger brother you deal a dirty slap and he goes to factory reset. One dirty slap is enough. Mou should have his own transfer targets and go for them. Shikena
It's the dumb medias and warring fans alike that are making it look like Mourinho is "hijacking" Chelshit's targets. Nothing like that, at least it's not personal.

There few top rated strikers out there and many clubs chasing them so it's not out of order for two clubs to battle for a player. Mourinho wanted Griezmann and Morata in that order before Lukaku. Griezmann couldn't come cos of the ban, Morata was deemed too expensive for a serial benchwarmer. Lukaku was the 3rd option and through Pogba and Mino, we beat Chelshit to him. It's nothing personal. We bought Mikel first before Chelsea stole him from us. We were interested in Hazard but Shekpe got him first. Robben is another example. We even flew out to Barca to get Pedro but indecision and Mourinho's use of Fabregas meant we lost him to Shekpe. Its normal. Shît happens. It's not about pissing on anyone's face. Or do you want to back out from every deal once other club are interested in that player?

Neymar reportedly had Madrid medicals back then but yet Barca played under-G tactics and got him. Bakayoko just had a wonderful season and many clubs are interested in him, just cos Shekpe are publicly chasing him doesn't mean we should look elsewhere. Bakayoko is a Monaco player till he signs for Chelsea, but till then, anyone can bid for him. It's a fair game.

Wayne Rooney

"I have just seen this kid make a couple of seasoned England defenders look very basic, then nonchalantly dink the ball over/around the keeper....then jog back like it was some sort of regular playground mess about"

That was during an England training session & the first time I had got to see this kid named Rooney... At the time there was a load of hype, and he didn't disappoint at all!

I saw Wayne's family that week in the players lounge after the England game vs Turkey and told them to make sure they get Wayne over to Old Trafford asap - that's the kind of immediate impact he had on me. I wanted this ridiculous talent alongside me for years to come on a day to day basis!

It happens, Wayne signs for Manchester United - I am over the moon... I'm buzzing knowing that this kid will scare not only defenders but all teams to death and yep he has just signed for us. Like a fan, his debut was an occasion us players all couldn't wait to see... why?? A few reasons really

1. Was he able to do it on the big stage for Man Utd
2. Can he handle the pressure that comes with the £30m price tag & all the attention that comes with that
3. Was he too young for all this
4. Did he have the temperament.

These were all valid questions of an 18yr old phenomenon.....and he answered them in explosive fashion with a hat trick on his debut vs Fenerbahçe - again Wayne took this in his stride like he was born to do this!

I'd seen many quality & hyped kids coming through at West Ham United like Joe Cole, Carrick, Lampard, Defoe..and many more over the years since at Man Utd like Pogba , Ravel Morrison, Lingard etc but none of these guys could compare with Wayne in terms of being ready physically(built like a middleweight boxer from 10yrs old!!) & his in game maturity with a ball at his feet (awareness, decision making, finding space, and a work ethic that rubbed off on others).

Even when Manchester United signed a £12m pound Portuguese wonderkid of a similar age by the name of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne was still the more mature footballer at the time. Cristiano at the time more interested in showboating while Wayne was all about doing things to affect the game and fit in as a total team player. Obviously Cristiano worked that one out soon enough & went on to do all sorts!!!!

But what I'm getting at is when you see hugely talented kids anywhere in the world you usually get a "what a talent this kid is, *but* " there's always a *but* but is he big enough, but is he strong enough yet, but is he quick enough, but can he pass it well enough, but can he score enough goals.... one of them questions if not more would have been aimed at the names I mentioned above around 18yrs old for sure - not Wayne Rooney. He ticked every box at 18 and that was the difference, he was a man at 18 & ready to take on the world on any football pitch!
Don't get me wrong he wasn't perfect, he had a temper that needed keeping in check on & off the pitch & he was at the perfect club with the perfect manager to help him with that. From within the club there were no doubts as to whether this kid from Liverpool would go on to be a great at this great club in Manchester.
There are so many moments I can go back to where he played a part in taking my breath away, like his overhead kick vs Manchester City , the lightening breakaway goal at Old Trafford with Cristiano vs Bolton, the volley vs Newcastle from way out, I could go on and on!!

But above those great moments he produced when putting the ball in the back of the net was Wayne's humility, his willingness to sacrifice for the team, play out of position(left wing/right wing at times) because the manager said so.
Also a huge part of his game was about a high intensity work ethic putting teams under pressure & his mentality that the team came first always. A truly unselfish footballer. He worked tirelessly after training on his shooting, doing it at match pace... none of this slow & chilled out shooting drills that you sometimes see players do - match tempo practice so when it came to games, he has seen them pictures daily on the training pitch & can execute more efficiently. He worked on his free kicks daily & his general ball striking.... None of these records get taken down without all that extra practice & focus so he deserves it all.

Wayne done it his way & in doing that has broken long standing goalscoring records for both club & country, and will no doubt go down as one of the best players to wear Manchester United & England shirts.

He was the best all round centre forward I played with & I played with some greats!
Great player, great guy & great family man *but* terrible singer!!

That is how transfers work. It happens all the time. A club needing to sell a player to balance the books will offer you another player that they are happy to sell even though you approached them for a different player. It is not uncommon to go ask for example Monaco for Fabinho, and Monaco will respond saying actually we would like to keep Fabinho but we can make Bakayoko available for X amount.

That's how Leeds phoned Man Utd to discuss Denis Irwin and before they knew it, Leeds intimated to them the availability of Cantona.

I surmise that Chelsea made an enquiry for Manolas. Roma, knowing that Chelsea hold a long-standing interest in Rudiger took Manolas off the market and offered Rudiger instead which Chelsea were happy to go with because they need an established defender anyway. If they miss both Manolas and Rudiger, they might not find a defender till window close.

It's like a barefooted person coming to your shop to buy shoe, but you offer him slippers instead because he is the only person that has ever shown interest in buying slippers. Meanwhile you know you can sell the shoe at any time because many people are showing interest in shoe.

Pogba was sold because Ferguson could not stand raiol. Stam was not sold because he lacked talent.

Jose is the only person that sold almost half a billion pounds worth of talent and managed to convince fans it's because they were not good enough.

That individual deserves a lot of credit for what he achieved at Chelsea. He also deserves a slap.
Pogba wasn't sold coz SAF couldn't stand Raiola, though; he just got fed up that in a match where we had no DM and he's in the line-up, SAF used a defender, Rafael as a DM. He got angry and refused to sign a contract with us though Raiola also convinced him to look elsewhere but it's SAF that caused it all.

I'll say Shelsea lost a huge talent in Lukaku and KDB, but Salah's case is different. Not like he went on to become a huge star like Lukaku or KDB. Then, I've seen some Chelsea fans making a case for Mourinho on KDB matter unto say Mourinho had no choice coz those bought then were bigger stars than KDB and Mourinho couldn't afford to bench the likes of Oscar. Lukaku's case is where Mourinho should be blamed 100% because those ahead of him were quiet useless as of then sef.
