Funlordmaniac: Matuidi joins juventus for £18.2 m...solid buy Very solid buy. By now I'd have been wailing for us missing out on him, but Matic's electric performances for us had me believing he might be the better option than Matuidi. |

raumdeuter: Champions league winner, Recent CL finalist. now tell me why Arsenal is bigger than Dortmund Assnal have made the UCL final though not as recent as Dortmund's. Finalist doesn't matter anyway, it's the trophy that counts the most. Plus Dortmund aren't the force they used to be when they reached that stage. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 5:40pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
raumdeuter: Give reasons for the bold There are exceptions to every rule or to some rules, and using my European titles benchmark will see Dortmund topple Assnal, but I believe Arsenal is bigger than Dortmund. When it comes to total trophies, Assnal beats them. When it comes to number of leagues won, Assnal beats them. Assnal loses out against them in the European scene but with more financial warchest, fans, more power to compete for players over Dortmund, I'll go for Assnal being bigger than Dortmund. It's highly debatable, but I think I'll go with Assnal on this one. |

CapitalCee: Kompany captained city to an EPL title as the leader, and at that time he is one of the best 3 central defenders in the game. He has been nominated several times among Fifa general short list for best players in the WORLD.
Azpilicueta is just a very good player that hardly puts a foot wrong but, is the 3rd choice RB at the national team behind juanfran and Dani carvajal. He is good a good player but not world class.. Kompany at his prime will walk into any national team If Kompany was a Spanish player, Ramos and Pique would've made sure he rots on the bench. The Fabregas that you listed as world-class played understudy to Xavi and Iniesta. To get a shirt during Spain's dominant era no be moi-moi. So national team levels plays a part in it. I still consider Kompany as a top defender, though. Koscielny is a quality defender, the team he plays for are not top quality. |

dopeJemi: money wise, I agree with your assertion Money makes the world go round. Without it, PSG couldn't have had the balls to even inquire about Neymar talk more of buying him. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 12:30pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
dopeJemi: will you rate PSG ahead of man united? they have more world class players than man untied? they just signed neymar No, I wouldn't. But you know United can afford to buy Neymar, and that's not possible in Inter/AC Milan's case. Chelsea and City are far more richer than them can easily outprice them when it comes to competing for any player. That's the difference. Most Players these days think about money first before any other thing. |

lekkie073: Chelsea and mancity r never bigger than ac Milan or inter. Chelsea have somewhat arrived at that stage but mancity is yet to.
domination at a continental level is a major recipe to become a big club. without it, forget it...u r just a wannabe I agree with the emboldened, but like I pointed out, judging only on current happenings, I can't even remember seeing both Inter and AC Milan in the UCL. They've been struggling for years now, especially Inter since Mourinho left them. But if it's based on the total package, then Chelshit or Man City no near them at all. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 12:21pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
dopeJemi: no, better? yes but bigger, No So you think CURRENTLY the best talents/players will turn down Chelsea/Man City for Inter more than they would for Chelsea/Man City? I don't quite agree. Currently, City have more chances of getting top talents than Inter. Inter are no longer what they used to be. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 12:17pm On Aug 16, 2017 |

dopeJemi: lparading world class players doesn't make you bigger, currently man city and Chelsea boasts of more world class players than man untied but they know their mates. by the way, how have Dortmund paraded more world class players than arsenal?
Aston Villa, Nottingham forest, Ajax are champions league winners
we are not seriously using stadium size as a yardstick to judge who is bigger, are we? man city have a bigger stadium than Bayern Munich, we know who the bosses are between the two
over all trophies won, arsenal tops them fan base, arsenal tops them wealth, arsenal tops them But don't you think you'll rate Man City and Chelshit bigger than even AC Milan and Inter, CURRENTLY? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 12:10pm On Aug 16, 2017 |
dopeJemi: I am not judging by trophies alone
when you say prestige, what do you mean Like the number of great players that the clubs have churned out or had played for the clubs. The exploits of the clubs at the biggest stage outside their league. Arsenal have underwhelmed outside EPL. English league is the most watched league and the richest too, and therefore you'll expect fans of top English clubs to be bigger than the rest of other leagues clubs. That's why I think Arsenal is bigger than them currently, but if there's any legit club ranking based on past achievements or history, Inter would definitely top Assnal. |

lekkie073: I think jose prefers to buy experienced players that would give him a short term success which will in turn ginger d club to extend his contract and he can them subsequently draft in young/potential world beaters. last season he bought two experienced players and two young players. this season he has bought two young players and one experienced (old) player. he might want to go the same way as last season This pattern is very much okay, because if Mourinho decides to go with youths all through, lack of experience will affect the team. Rebuilding with young players that can give us many years of good football together with one or two experienced players will balance the equation. |

arsenal is bigger than inter Milan and Dortmund You can't judge by trophies alone. Inter Milan based on club history and prestige is bigger than Arsenal. |

joeace2020: go 8 I Imagine another scenario where we sign Aurier and Rose.. Rose with Martial or Rashford on the left and weirdly Valencia in 7 with Aurier behind him.. e go sweet die Rose is another good LB I don't mind us going for. The reason I didn't list him as an option during this transfer period was coz of Levy and his high price tag on Tottenham players, in addition to Rose's injury record. Barring his injury record, I'll be elated to have Rose in our ranks. He's very good. Rose and a Martial partnership will be priceless. |

SIRcumalot: this aurier story they comeback again o. I need that guy. Barring his occasional madness, he'll be a good buy for us. He's young, energetic, flies through wings from his RB position with so much pace, and he's defensively strong. A suitable competition for Valencia and with him being young, will have many years of service to give us. |

PietroRico: 1st match of the season, sinizia don dey remind us of how he warn all of us and Woodward against buying Pogba but Woodward no listen.
I'm sure when Woodward sees it he will learn and not make the same mistake of not listening to him Pogba's nonchalant, lackadaisical and showboating attitude is his greatest demerits and the reason I never wanted him. Second season is about to start and he's the same ol' limelight-craving teenager. There's is a reason why I'd always want players like Matuidi or hardly criticise a player like Roy Keane. I hate showboating with passion and these serious aforementioned players don't have it. It's the reason why I love Hererra. I'll continue to reiterate that until he realises that doing simple things and helping his team-mates is the best to fulfil potential, he'll end up another bundle of talent that never got to live up to his hype. Fabregas at his age was already a midfield kingpin, passing opponents out of the park and sharing assists like say na national cake. He did all those things without the unnecessary baggage of showmanship. You can choose to always protect Pogba all you want, I won't. I'll criticise him and praise him as well. Sugarcoating words coz he costs us 89m ain't my style. |

dopeJemi: you guys are seriously over exaggerating pogba's performance today, it's not like he gave the ball away often, what exactly are we slating him for
between pogba and Herrera, Who had a better game? The only reason Pogba had a better game was coz he can't be benched while Hererra is benchable. Pogba on the same minutes as Hererra was just as poor as Hererra. |

SailorXY: when the team came under immense pressure he found it difficult to keep the ball upfield or draw fouls when it was lumped to him. Varane got the better of him IMO many times. I didn't say he played poorly, but he didn't offer enough succor upfield when the team needed salvation. he can improve that aspect of his game. If Mourinho goes for 3-5-2, Lukaku will have less burden to shoulder and have the freedom he desires. I love his tenacity and ability to contest every ball. He might succeed at United. |
