The CBN yesterday released a new policy called GSI (Global Standing Instruction). The policy is a very welcome policy. Below, I try to summarize the major points of the policy.

1. It applies to all financial institutions in the country.

2. If you take a loan in any bank (say GTB) and you refuse to pay back, we would look for any other bank(s) in the country (say Access bank, and Sterling bank) where you have accounts and there is money, we would take the money from those accounts and pay GTB back.
E.g you take 30k Loan from GTB and you fail to pay back. You have 10k in your Access bank account, 15k in your Sterling bank joint account with your wife, and 8k in your child's First bank account that you help her manage (because she is still a minor). We would sweep the 15k in your Sterling bank joint account with your wife, sweep the 10k in your Access Bank, and take 5k out of the 8k you have in your child's First Bank account. We would send them all to GTB. The remaining 3k in your child's First Bank account would not be touched. That's a promise. ��

3. Even if its a joint account that your BVN is found on, money would be moved from there!

4. If we find out that you have an account that we should have moved money from but you have done chua-chua to not put your bvn on that account, then your BVN would be watchlisted. My brother, that is a major gbege! You are finished!

5. Only the principal and interest would be swept from your other accounts. Penalty charges would not be included. CBN don try for us o. ��

6. If a bank wrongfully activates GSI on you (you have not defaulted on your loan and they go make the system sweep from your other accounts), the bank would pay a fine of 500k sharparly. No begging.

7. If you complain about a wrongful activation of GSI on your accounts, and the bank claims you are wrong, you then decide to request for arbitration. If the arbiter rules that you are correct, then the bank pays a fine of 10M. No story!

The GSI becomes effective from August 1st, 2020.

This helps the system to fight serial loan defaulters and allows banks to more readily give out loans. As a matter of fact, a bank can now choose to give you a loan without you previously having anù account with the bank.

It's a new dawn in our country.

PROPOSED PLANS ON SCHOOLS REOPENING AT STAKEHOLDERS MEETING OF 06/07/20 AT MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, ABERE

1. Schools to resume 20/07/20
2. Children to be only 20 in a class
3. For big schools there will be two shifts every day
Morning shift 8am to 12pm
Afternoon shift 1.30 pm 5.30pm
4. There will be no use of school buses until further notice
5. Executive ( STATE & LOCAL OFFICERS ) seminar 14/07/20
6. Others ( PROPRIETORS IN EACH CHAPTER ) seminar 16/07/20
7. The seminar will be on zonal basis
8. Resumption on 20/07/20 will run for 3 or 4 weeks to cover for 2nd term for pry6, Js3 & Ss3 only.
9. Immediately after these weeks the full sch resumes for all classes to run for 11 weeks to cater for 3rd term.
10. Immediately after the third term around 1st week of Nov. Schools resume for 1st term of 2020/2021 Academic year of which the first term will end in January 2021. While second term starts around Feb. 2021.
11. All schools must abide by PTF covid'19 rules on schools reopening.
12. All schools will be fumigated by government before reopening.
13. Food vendors must not be allowed into schools as children must come with their food.
14. Visitors must not be allowed into schools.

These are the proposed reopening plans which are subject to government rectification.
Let us pray to God for better intervention.

JUST IN: 31M naira Teachers’ Salaries Allegedly Shared By Kwara NUT Chairman, Perm Sec – EFCC

The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered how the sum of N31m meant for the payment of teachers’ salaries was allegedly diverted by the Chairman of Kwara State Nigerian Union of Teachers, Salihu Idris Toyin, and the Permanent Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Bayo Audu Onimago, among others.

The money allegedly shared by the suspects, according to the EFCC, Media and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale, was meant for the payment of over 400 teachers working with the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board.

Other beneficiaries in the said money, the statement added, include the Director of Finance, SUBEB, Ahmed Husain, the State Coordinator of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, Tijani Idris, the Controller of Finance of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Omole John.

While giving analysis of how the controversial funds were shared, the State Chairman of NUT, Salihu Idris Toyin, reportedly told the operatives of the EFCC that “the sum of N12m was paid into an account operated by me and others, the money was actually not supposed to come, when the cash hit the account, I withdrew it and gave it to SUBEB officials, they gave us N3m for free and we shared it among ourselves.

“We also received another N19m and I withdrew N4m from it, I used N1.5m for clearing and inter locking of our quarters, the remaining N2.5m is still with me.”

When the EFCC operatives asked the embattled NUT Chairman if he has receipts for the clearing and inter locking he said he did, his response was said to be negative.

It would be recalled that the Commission had last week announced the discovery of about 1,000 ghost workers allegedly smuggled into the payroll of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board.

All the suspects, the statement added, would be arraigned immediately after the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.

Pls there is this question bothering me for some times now. It has become a constant headache during and after every interview.
Pls my Dear Honourable members in Nairaland, Is gap teeth in anyway an excuse interviewers use to disqualify people from any job, Most especially on banking jobs?

I have attended several interviews where I am convinced that i tried during the interview but unfortunately ended up not being shortlisted. I am beginning to think that my gap teeth might be a hindrance to all of my dream jobs...

Recent I applied for a Banking job, Service Executive to be specific where I got shortlisted for Aptitude test for three times. Latter on after some days i received an invite that i have been shortlisted for Virtual interview which was last week. Early this week I took part in the interview were i was told they will get back to me through mail.

Today i just got a reply that my experience, profile and presentation were remarkable but However, they regret to inform me that I was not recommended at the end of the interview session.

Without been told I already knew My open teeth is behind this again.
Pls help me out on this, if i should stop wasting my time, energy and money applying for jobs. Honestly I'm beginning to get depressed of all the emotional trauma.

The question is Should i stop applying for jobs like banks? Do I still have hope? How will I start imagine things when My age exceed their limit, knowing fully well that banks has limited age range.

Due to the Covid-19 we have a valid excuse to pray the EID SALLAH AT HOME.

DESCRIPTION

The "Two Rakah" Sallah is prayed AT HOME as follows:

1: The start time is view mins after sunrise and ends at Dhuh'r start time.

2: It is prayed with no athaan and no Iqaamah.

3: The recitation within the prayer is recited loud.

4: The Fatiha is read in the first Rakah and Surah Al 'Ala (if not memorized then whatever he/she is able to Recite).

5: The Fatiha is read in the second Rakah and Surah Al-Ghaasiya (if not memorized then whatever he/she is able to recite).

6: Seven Takbeers are made in the first Rakah before the recitation of Al-Fatiha including the Takbeerutul Ihraam.

7: Five Takbeers are made in the second Rakah before Al-Fatiha including the Takbeer of standing back up from Sujood.

8: The hands are raised with each Takbeer.

9: Nothing is said between the Takbeers.

10: To be lead by an appointed Imam within the family (Father or Learned child).

No Khutba is done after the SALLAH due to it being prayed in the HOUSE.

Allāhu A'alam

Don't forget to like and share with others
Point 7 is wrong. 6 Takbeers including the one from the post of sujuud.

Not in anyway, you don't have two moderators at a time, Islam encourage a single leader. Even if a Yoruba sees it, he needs to report to the leader who is to verify and make pronouncement. Islam is not about tribe, color or language. Those who fare Allah are His true slave.

They are not copping. The Proprietor of my kids school just sent me a long message requesting if we can pay for the third term so as to pay for the teachers March salary even the second term examination has not been done. He even asked if he can get a loan. How do you expect me that I am working from home and my salary has been reduced to 50% to do that? I pity them.
