The truth must be told: the Niger Delta people cannot eat their cake and have it. How do you expect multi national oil companies to relocate their operational headquarters to an area where their eggheads are exposed to kidnapping for ransom, murders, pipeline vandalism etc which have become a daily occurrence? The ND people complain daily of lack of infrastructure yet expatriates supervising projects in the area are wantonly killed, kidnapped or prevented from doing their work due to one community crisis or the other. Even security personnel providing security cover in the ND area are regularly ambushed either on land or at sea and killed. Thus, the cost of doing construction works in the area is so high because the cost of providing insurance and extra security is factored in during the bidding process. If this trend continues unabated, I see the oil companies concentrating more on offshore drilling activities thereby avoiding the ND area as much as possible. I also don't see the oil companies relocating their headquarters to the ND area in the nearest future. |
i suspect that the monthly returns to higher authorities had been jacked up by the oga patapata and the police commissioner refused to cooperate, hence the transfer info was released to make him play ball. I can't imagine transferring a Lagos police commissioner to the police headquarters, Abuja just to carry files. Something is very fishy. Pls recall what Senator Misau revealed just a few days ago |
Infinix Zero 4+ (64 gig memory). |
ISIS seized the migrants crisis to export its terrorist cells all over Europe. They have successfully struck in Turkey, France and now Spain. United States, Germany etc should brace up. |
Pedophiles everywhere |
I suspect this story is cooked up by the runaway Felix who must have planted and circulated it for the purpose of seeking asylum somewhere in Europe under the guise of threat to life. |
The question I want to ask Femi Adesina is this: would Buhari himself have allowed any of his aides, Ministers (even including Adesina himself) to leave his duty post on medical leave at the expense of the State for upward two, three months without getting rid of such an aide? Moreso, the medical expenses are in foreign currencies which are quite scarce nowadays. Also, why should the president enjoy medical facilities which are not immediately available to his citizens? What would have happened to my aged mother in the village she had been diagnosed with the same ailments befalling the president? I had expected the president to have laid a good example going by what the nation experienced during Yar'Adua regime but alas, he is towing the same path of dishonour. |
These FRSC people are really receiving serous bashing these days o |
Has anyone noticed that in almost all the crime reports by our police involving firefight, it's always the hoodlums that open fire first before the police responds with 'superior firepower'? I always wonder bearing in mind the mindset of our trigger-happy policemen who shoot first and ask questions later. |
I've observed that there's no major disease in this world that the Western world does not attribute to Africa. It's either they claim that the disease originated from Africa or it's more prevalent in Africa. |
I'm very impressed not only with her talent but with her choice of dressing for the occasion. Up Naija. |
66 to the end is not correct. A joke even. |
doctokwus:I agree with your line of reasoning. The purpose of that baseless allegation against the Ag. President was to intimidate and blackmail him. The Ag. President even fall my hand by responding to the allegations. Where was the accuser when Buhari filled almost all the sensitive positions with his kith and kin from the North? Some of the Northern appointees do not even possess the requisite qualifications for the positions gifted them by Buhari. |
My brother, u have to remember the purpose for which you made the report-to sanitise the system. They have a way of arranging the identification parade in such a way that you can only see the officers on parade but they cannot see you. You can also go with your lawyer and a good friend or relation to calm your nerves. To the best of my knowledge, you have nothing to worry about since it's now a public issue. |
Since the loser has filed an appeal and a stay of execution, the balance of convenience is still on his side till the appeal is decided in one way or the other. The same procedure is usually applicable in governorship tussle at the state level. But the problem is that the incumbent loser will use every opportunity to prolong the appeal till the tail end of his tenure leaving the winner with the short end of the stick. This is where the problem lies. However, measures should be put in place to ensure that the winner recoups his accumulated salaries and entitlements from the incumbent loser no matter how long the court process takes. |

So many questions....... Why is it that none of the girls is from the southern part of the country? It is a common knowledge that most schools in the north, if not all, have a small percentage of students from the southern states. Also, why is that the few of them that earlier escaped or rescued could not speak English when interviewed despite the fact that they were about to sit for WAEC? Not only that, what's the population of the entire students of the Government Day Secondary School, Chibok when about 200 of them were to sit for WAEC at that point in time they were allegedly kidnapped? It's a known fact that schools up north have the least enrolment in JAMB, NECO etc Most importantly, why is it that all the countries that offered to assist our country in the search for the students went back quietly-USA, UK, Isreal and even including China? What did they see? Please pardon my curiosity, abeg. |
But this man has repeatedly claimed that the NNPC was owing him and that it was with the knowledge of the top management that the fuel was sold |
I can't but wonder if had been one of Buhari's top ministers or head of a strategic parastatal that has refused to show up for work for the past three weeks on health grounds, what would the president have done in such a situation? Would he have allowed any of his subordinates to work from home? Why is this president not living by example? Nigerian presidency is a 24 hour, 24/7 appointment. It's not a part-time thing. I remember when OBJ was president, he would hold meetings till the wee hours of the day only to be at his duty post first thing in the morning. Before you know what's happening, you see him on television addressing or holding meetings with his counterparts elsewhere in foreign lands and you keep wondering if he's more than one person. Going by what we went through during Yar'Adua, I don't think it's proper for our leaders to take us through the same inglorious past. If the Jonathan presidency had fished out and punished the cabal that manipulated Yar'Adua's health challenges to their advantage, I doubt if anyone would have dared repeating the same thing but Jonathan, despite setting up a committee to probe the incident, sat on the report till date. |
Insecurity everywhere |
Instead of embarking on this risky journey, a very sophisticated drone could have done this job better. A careful study of the images taken by the drone would help the security forces to locate the exact location of the criminals, their manpower, weaponry and supply route to enable the police strike team mount a successful surgical operation with minimal casualty on the government side. |
My people, this man could have been sent by a rival restaurant owner to ruin business for the other to thrive. |
Amaju placed his bet on the right horse. He supported Ahmad Ahmad for the CAF Presidency against the almighty Hayatou and the same forces that supported Ahmad made him win. Congratulations! |
Ordinarily, after his release from the alleged kidnap (at gunpoint), the torture and humiliation he went through in the hands of known culprits, a reasonable man would have gone straight to the police to lodge a complaint since his ordeal occurred outside the vicinity of the campus and work hours. But instead of doing so, the lecturer slept over it and reported to his Dean the next day. It doesn't add up at all. |

And this woman would have her own kids? |
Very sad indeed. Ochendo, don't bite the hands that feed you. |

But if they are running at a loss, why is it that there are so many filling stations springing up all over the whole place daily? |
I hope in a few years time he won't come running back to Nigerians to solicit for money for medical treatment when the repercussions set in. |
