The fact that nvidia said it is faster than a Titan x doesn't mean that it performs better in real life gaming they may be talking about the indeed faster vram which is the fastest gddr5 vram it may just be wise PR stunts just like the 1080's demo with the 67° they may have packed like 12 fans in the test bench for all we know now look everyone is complaining for the temps we all no that vram is not all that matters but who cares people are still going to buy it cause its 'faster than a Titan x can't wait for polaris RX480.

The reason nvidia is pulling off all this stunt is because the feel they don't have competition that's why we need to stop giving in into all their PR stunts and indeed go for the better and more valued product.

Well, the benchmarks are out on youtube and it does indeed outperform both the titan x and 980ti, so it's not an Nvidia stunt.

You can build a cheaper rig with nvidia gtx 950 or 960 or 950 ti. They shouldn't cost more than 70k with this dollar price increase. I bought the parts of PC over time and built it once I had gotten all the parts I needed. You should budget around 150k for a decent mid range rig.

Dude 970 your PC is a beast AMD has bad opengl drivers compared to Nividia I want it for emulation and gaming not really work related. GTX where did you get them what would it cost me to build a rig like yours and where to get the parts.

Just checked my rig yesterday, there was a mixup. My previous rig used an i5-4460 paired with a GTX 760 which I sold ending of last year to build my current rig. The current rig uses an i5-4670k.

No it doesn't I don't bother with SLI because I'm still gaming on a 1080p monitor and the 970 is already overkill for 99% of games at that resolution. The only thing I think about is whether to run my game at 60 fps or 30 fps. I'm planning to get the GTX 1070 when it finally comes out. The performance is higher than a titan x and it costs far less than half the price of the titan x or 980 ti. Even Nvidia don't really recommend SLI anymore.

They do have the 4460k. It is the overclockable edition of the 4460. About the RAM, yes. I was typing really fast and didn't correct it. I will check the model number, but it is a gigabyte motherboard.

Download Fraps here http://www.fraps.com/download.php. It is a tool that shows you how many frames per second your game is running at. You just start it and it displays a number at the top left corner of your screen. You should be targeting an average fps of 30fps and an ideal of 60fps for really smooth gameplay. If the scores are dipping to below 25fps, then reduces some of the settings to get better performance. Anisotropic filtering or AA, texture detail and resolution are the biggest memory drains. You should also drop shadow quality to get playable framerates.

I live in South Africa and these pcs are easy to come by...thankfully

The first is slightly better, but I would tell you to wait since Nvidia just released their new cards and so the current cards will become even cheaper. Then you can go for a GTX 970. Also you can get a more powerful powersupply. I always go minimum of 650w. That overhead will helo you. You don't need an SSD. My PC starts up in like 6 seconds and games load up fast. Do you need a DVD writer. that is a relic of the past and extra unnecessary cost. You can make sure the motherboard supports Sli so that in the future you can add another graphics card to double up performance. Run away from AMD processors.

AMD GPUs don't suck, you're probably picking the wrong ones. I use an Nvidia GPU (GTX 970) But that may be on the expensive side for you especially since my PC is basically a powerhouse and I can run any game on full Ultra even the newest ones.

If it's for your computer, Use steam. store.steampowered.com but for phones, I won't recommend you go outside the play store due to viruses.

It cannot play GTA V. Most modern games require at least 2GB of VRAM for the graphics card. Yours only has 1GB. GTA V will not run on it.

PC gaming to me is still better. I use steam to buy my games and I have like 51 games on it. Both old and new. I don't have to worry about backwards compatibiliity.

I always wait for winter sales or summer sales on steam and humble bundle. I bought Battlefield 3, Mirror's Edge, Dead space, Kingdom of Amalur, mass effect 2 and FIFA 14 for less than 8 dollars when it went on sale in 2014. I bought the witcher 2 on steam for like 3.99 dollars. That is far cheaper and better to me than buying a game from computer village that might not work or pirating a game that might contain malware or ransomware. And getting a steam account is free and all your games transfer with you to a new computer so you don't have to start deleting games to create space and repurchasing games because the disc cracked. If you own a PS4, you are going to be spending at least 12k on a game.

You don't need a high powered graphics card to match or beat the PS4. The GTX 750Ti is slightly better than the graphics card on the PS4 and a new one costs about 50k. Add another 50k and you can build yourself a decent PC capable of running your games on at least high on almost every setting. And since you will be buying games on sale, you are going to be saving a lot of money. In like two years you can upgrade your graphics card with one that is high end now when the price comes down. I used to use a GTX 760. I traded it for 50k and added another 50 to buy the GTX 970, a very high end card. I also upgraded my processor.

You don't have to pay to play online on PC. On PS4 and XBox, you have to pay for online if you want to play. Sometimes there may be nobody around me to play street fighter of FIFA with, then I'll go online and play people and it keeps the game interesting.

PC games usually run better and look better than console games even the poorly optimised ones.

You can install Mods in your game that change the way the game was meant to be played.

Virtually all games on consoles except exclusives like uncharted and halo are all coming to PC so the PC library is extensive.

To me, it is the immersion that matters. If the game is consistent and doesn't pull me out of the experience, then I will love it. Graphics help to increase immersion and so does gameplay and storyline. I game on a powerful gaming PC, and I would still drop some graphics settings to let the game run smoothly. That's why I haven't played Assassin's creed unity. That game is beautiful and buggy. But I can play an old game like devil may cry 3 and still be entranced by the gameplay. Story is like bonus to a great immersive game.

After watching the reviews of both the nvidia GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, I am really tempted to by the GTX 1070 especially as it will be relatively cheap (exchange rate be damned) and it will be as powerful as the Titan X. Right now I have the GTX 970 and run everything on ultra on my 1080p monitor. I feel like the 1070 may be overkill for 1080p gaming especially since my monitor only outputs at 60ghz maximum and on average the card outputs at far more than 60ghz for games running at that resolution.

PS: Who know where I fit buy 1440p monitor?

Dude, the problem right now is that you have not created romance between the two of you. You have given the balance of power of the relationship to her. You have to man up and step up to the plate. She likes you, but you have not given her any reason to invest romantically in you.
1) You can start by creating romantic situations like taking her to lunch or for an activity for two where her brother is not invited. It will be in public, so she will drop her guard a bit. While there you have to learn to talk in a romantic way. It's not the words but how you say it. Deepen your voice and lower it a bit. Like male radio broadcasters: there's a reason girls fall for them even without seeing them. I'm not saying you should change your voice. You can practice in front of the mirror. It's usually the way your voice sounds when you wake up in the morning.
2) Look her in the eyes when talking. You may look away from time to time, but maintain strong eye contact with her. It does funny things to women and makes them blush. If she's sitting opposite you in a restaurant, find a way to bring her to your own side of the table.
3) You have to learn how to touch her if you want her holding hands with you. What I mean is casually touching her hand or placing your hands on her shoulder during conversation as if you are talking to an old friend and this is a habit of yours. You have to escalate slowly. She where she allows you to put your hands. Then take it away slowly and casually. You also have to make the touch tender. She will miss your touch and get close to you without even knowing it.
4) When you complement her, don't tell her she's beautiful. Talk about how you like what she's wearing or her hairstyle or her shoes. It will sound more genuine than telling her you find her attractive.
5) You have to create value for yourself. Stop hugging her. Stop trying to peck her. If you have done the things I said above well, she will do those things of her own volition. If however she doesn't you have to create value in a different way. Maker her see you as a desirable man. Talk to other females in front of her flirting lightly and using the techniques I have stated above. Collect their numbers, do the light touching smile at them, maintain strong eye contact, make them laugh. She will try to inject herself to get more of your attention. She will introduce you as her boyfriend, or fiance or jokingly as her husband.

If all these fail, then she doesn't give a hoot about you and you should start looking elsewhere.
