Really, a state of emergency has to be declared on the health sector. It's high time we place the health needs of the populace tops in our scale of preference. Quality health services/insurance for the patients(as they're the most sensitive link in the chain), improved health facilities, social welfare of health workers, and creating enabling environment for improvement in knowledge/skills. Until when our leaders prioritize the above listed points, the degradation in our health system will continue to upsurge exponentially!. |

The role of the police so far in this case is also not encouraging. CAN, Civil society, and Activism groups will always be quiet on issues like this all under the veil of religious tolerance. But the issue is this, why must she be forcefully converted, and enslaved into early marriage?. If she had been of the same faith with the Emir, nobody will be raising eyebrows. But so long as she was abducted, enslaved, forcefully converted, and a victim of a philandering paedophile, it must be condemned in the strongest terms! And this is happening in the state of the number one citizen, under his watch, admist protests and suits against this action by family members and relatives. The continuous silence of the powers that be, and the impunity of the monarch, leaves me with nothing but fear of the safety of my daughters in a radicalized country like this! #FreeHabiba 2 Likes |
