Car TalkLawyer And Colleague Die Mysteriously In Car With Engine Running, In Nigeria by Sirsijo(op): 8:55am On Dec 17, 2013
Tragedy struck in Asaba, the Delta State capital, on Thursday following the puzzling way a lawyer and his colleague died at a popular roundabout in their steaming

Toyota Camry car in the state.

The casualties, seated in the neatly parked steaming car, with registration number FGG 931 AE, along the road, after negotiating the roundabout, left the air-conditional system on and dozed to death.

Within a twinkle of an eye, the victims started gasping and foam was seen coming out from their mouth and nose.

The disaster had since thrown members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association into sorrow.

Hundreds of passersby and government officials abandoned their duty posts and trooped to the scene to catch a glimpse of the misfortune.

Others were seen running halter-skelter for fear of being arrested by the police for interrogation.

The occurrence happened at the popular Inter-Bau Roundabout within the capital city.

The reconstruction of roundabout, awarded by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to the CCC Construction Company, was abruptly halted following the logjam that ensued thereafter.

The lawyer, whose name could not be confirmed as at press time, The Eagle Online gathered, hails from Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of the oil rich state.

Okpanam is one of the fastest growing neigbouring towns to Asaba, owing to its accessibility and nearness to the capital city, where land is considerably cheap.

While a source said the lawyer was coming back from a court session where he had engaged in some legal fireworks, another source claimed they were poisoned from their unknown destination.

According to the source: “They must have inhaled a poisonous substance thrown into their car from where they were coming from.

“If not, how would they have died inside the car they were riding in?”

Besides, the lawyer was said to have solicited severally on behalf of land speculators in Okpanam community, who have duped unsuspecting buyers over some parcels of land.

The identity of the passenger who died beside the lawyer is still uncertain but a source described him as a “bricklayer”.

He was said to be going with the lawyer to a construction site in Okpanam village.

Their bodies were swiftly deposited at the Federal Medical Center, Asaba.

PoliticsJonathan, Alison-madueke, Okonjo-iweala Culpable In Diversion Of N8 Trillion Oil by Sirsijo(op): 8:54am On Dec 11, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan and two of his top ministers may be attempting a cover-up on what clearly competes as Nigeria’s biggest fraud ever, involving the illegal diversion, or theft, of over N8 trillion crude oil sales proceeds.
In a frantic and unusual memo to the president on September 25, 2013, Central Bank governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, detailed how government-owned oil firm, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, systematically diverted the huge sum, being sales proceeds between January 2012 and July 2013.
The CBN governor said for all crude oil sales within the period, the NNPC paid only 24 percent proceeds into the federation account, and diverted or stole the remaining 76 percent-totalling N8 trillion.

Christianity EtcInterest (riba) by Sirsijo(op): 12:09pm On Dec 04, 2013
The literal meaning of interest or Al-RIBA as it is used in the Arabic language means to excess or increase. In the Islamic terminology interest means effortless profit or that profit which comes free from compensation or that extra earning obtained that is free of exchange. Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlvi a great scholar and leader has given a very concise and precise definition of interest. He says,

"Riba` is a loan with the condition that the borrower will return to the lender more than and better than the quantity borrowed."

Interest is not a subject without trade and commerce. Islam recognises trade and commerce not only as a lawful profession but also as a moral duty. Islam has laid down a complete set of rules for trade. The reason for these rules is to specify what halal earning is. There are many traditions (Ahaadith) concerning halal provision that can also be found in the books containing the traditions of the prophet (peace be upon him). Actually, Islam has encouraged men to earn their own provision and to provide it to their families. The condition is that the earning has to be according to the conditions set by the Shari’ah. Any sort of transaction that does not correspond to the rules of trade will not be allowed. These rules can be found under the heading of trade in the books of jurisprudence. Interest is amongst those conditions which all dealings must be free from.
May God guide us on to the right path. Ameen

In verse 279 he says,

"If you do not, take notice of war from Allah and his Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallm but if you repent you shall have your capital sum. Deal not unjustly and you shall not be dealt with unjustly."

In the second place in Surah Aal-Imran, verse no.130 Allah says,

"Oh you who believe! Devour not usury doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah that you may prosper."

Hazrat Jabir radiyallahu anhu has reported that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihe wasallm cursed the devourer of usury, its payer, its scribe and its two witnesses. He also said that they were equal (in sin).

Ameen to all the prayers... and Jumaat Kareem to ya'll. my own point of view about ths generation marriages are;
1. we try to involve too much of the "love stories" we watch in movies,
2. we believe money is love,
3. we care more about the wedding events, which lasts for not more than a week and forget the marriage which is expected to last forever,
4. we forget to follow how the prophet (SAW) lived his own life. (which i thank the OP now for reminding some of us about some of the romantic moments the Prophet SAW had with Aisha RA).

May we Love our dear family and the ummah as a whole.
and Blessings be with prophet and his family ameen.
