Simple...she has to do the expected ![]() But seriously, this is something she ought to discuss with her man, where they both come to understand each other's views and approach to sexuality, tho in a way being physical still counts for something but it's best wen they're married so they get to learn a lot from each other...realising that they both need to be free & open minded about spicing things up |
kilokeys:Got me laughing real hard ![]() Truly, even wen one is in a relationship we still find that we might get interested in other people we come across. The same goes for others we have as close friends that we sort of have genuine feelings for...or maybe a crush. In a weird way, they become plan B. Ladies that are mindful of their biological clock...including those that are lukin for a made man tend to scout for a plan B when plan A seems to be no show. The fact that partners choose to stick together in love is what counts. Remember that before him/her you had friends...& even if there's a breakup u'll still have friends. So I wouldn't classify this as cheating as long as no one made a move for plan B yet...& even if one did, as long as it's an open relationship it still ain't cheating. But...wen you start nursing an idea of being with another & your partner doesn't know abt it, then you can start talking about cheating. |

Themandator:If i was to ask...do you think that everyone that goes to your church each day gets the message of the pastor? Do you think everyone goes there to listen?...so does that make his position as a pastor needless in imparting knowledge and understanding of the mystery of the kingdom One can't tell what's in the mind of an individual. The person might just be in church just to fulfill all righteousness, dance to the drums, have fun, meet friends, get a few new digits and then head back home. 1 Peter 2:9 says..."But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" From my earlier description, what if a person's encounter with God was not through the pastor himself, but through other activities in the church, or with a member...does that make God's word any different We all are called to be priests...filled with God's abundant grace to spread His word and not just waiting for the priest in church. Take your everyday life for instance...there are people that you take an admiration to and want to listen to what they have to say regardless, and for some others, you might not seem interested at all, hence their words fall on deaf ears. Does that make the others less smart or less knowledgeable?...it's all about perception. The same way you might choose not to listen to the teacher in class, it's either you find the lecture boring or the teacher is not delivering the way you want it...or in ways you comprehend. You said you were amongst the best in your catechism class for first holy communion and confirmation...i've been there, and that doesn't count for much...rather it's the heart that matters regarding your destiny. People looked up to me like i was well grounded in faith, but there were others more devoted to christian life than i was back then...and even though they were not doing well in class i wished i could emulate them in their ways cz i knew they were way better than me. I remember a faith class in a protestant church in which they brought them all to the front of the church and gave prizes to just the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I wondered what was the aim and purpose...cz i felt it might make others feel less of themselves...plus, what if the others were better than them in the practice of God's teachings? Regarding being a spiritual father during baptism, do you have any idea what responsibility was entrusted to you?...you add to the life of that child and make an impact in his/her destiny...i had to learn, because i also am one. Not everything revolves around us and our lives, because we were called here on earth to serve others. As for your wife and her father...the positions in church don't matter. we wouldn't take that to heaven. Each person is responsible for their life. I have heard of protestant pastors who have children living in the world...does that make the pastor or the congregation any less? You talked about advising your younger brother going to winners for words for his healing. i don't know if you are talking about looking for "miracles" or "God's word"...whichever it is, the catholic church provides for that also if you understand much about the church. PS: i'm not against any church, as i also have friends and family going to winners and even other denominations, and i even get invited for programs...but still, going there doesn't change who i am..."a ![]() I wish i could give you numbers and you get the chance to meet and listen to other learned catholics i've met...they would give you that feeling that your mum felt...and then you come to understand their wealth of knowledge of the scriptures...and who do you think taught them?? Life is not just black and white...but there are grey areas. Each day i try to understand and learn more about myself and others also. It was nice to hear things from your view...on this note, have a wonderful week ![]() |
Themandator:I guessed u dint get me or I dint explain well I meant all those activities helped me get a better understanding of the church and the mass (sumthing I neglected)...helping me listen, meditate and find that spiritual fulfilment. What you don't know....u have no understanding, so u say the things u say based on what you bliv. But who am I to judge. Based on what I know I could say some things about protestant churches of even the muslims, but I know that my views are sum1 from the outside looking in & it would be different from one who has been in that faith and taken the time to learn soo much |
Themandator: Larryfly:How active where you as a catholic? Was it just a Sunday thing or did u delve deeper to understand more? We all are born into homes where we find ourselves being in the same church as our parents...fact But in growing up as a child, was your home the type where your parents sit you down and teach you more about the church, or did they welcome questions from you so they could explain more about the teaching for the day or an understanding of your faith. I never had the luxury of all that as a child, so in my search for an understanding, I took to reading books on faith and spirituality...besydes the Bible *don't mind me...i love books* ![]() The church has an amazing library of books from different authors, and would rouse your curiosity to read more. I know the mass might seem too straightforward or routine, but it has a purpose; "our salvation", which I guess u might not have understood. I wish you took the time to understand every part of the mass in its detail. The kind of life i used to live before was not helpful if i was to call myself a christian, not until I decided to challenge myself to do different. I became a part of the opus dei center "helmbridge", and also joined the lay readers, where I hold an active position, and also being a part of the youth fellowship in church where I am a part of the word group; learning from people and also delivering talks when called upon. The thing is I don't know much as a christian, and I'm still eager to know more, and I'm forever thankful to the people I met so far in this life's journey...people i call my teachers and motivators...and as my principle in life, I look to the prayer of St. Francis of Asisi One question that still puzzles me is where do we draw the line between faith and morality?...cz i do bliv an atheist with a good heart would seem better than a christian who disregards Christ in all he does |
girlhaley:True...twas an accident I could say the same for this

For some people, they're used to calling their partners by name, so what if by coincidence they bear the same first and middle name? I asked this question and someone's response was "NO", with her reason being that calling his name in a romantic way would sound soo odd...and worse when you talk about the bedroom. What's your view? |

ARTS get us thinking deeply, make us laugh, cause us to question the world as it is, help us build a diverse community, celebrate international awareness, beautify our world, and nurture our spirits. These are a few ways that the arts make our lives that much richer. An appreciation of its knowledge and understanding of the universal and timeless qualities identify all great art. The more you appreciate and understand the art of different eras, movements, styles and techniques, the better you can develop, evaluate and improve your own artwork. A truly inspiring story for everyone... Mrs Nike Okundaye is a marvel and a beacon of hope for those who feel tomorrow holds nothing...based on where they stand at the moment. When we reflect a bit about things, we come to see that life takes us places we never thought we would go. It's only when you get to a certain point you come to realize that where you are...is definitely where you should be |
